    What a wall transformation this DIY faux electric fireplace makeover was! I knew this wall had potential but man, I am still blown away by how beautiful the airstone is and how cozy the electric fireplace is. We live in a Ryan Homes Plan 1918 which is popular for first time homeowners and is meant to be simple! To think we could turn this basic wall into a warm, cozy, and peaceful escape?If you can dream it- you can do it!!

    This is exactly what I needed to see! My husband wants to get a new fireplace to match the decor of our new home. And I have been wanting to do a DIY because I love my fireplace and there's nothing mechanically wrong with it. Plus it was my birthday gift. Can't wait!

    I really enjoyed watching this. The fact that you kept it soooo "REAL and AUTHENTIC" in terms of showing ya'll are human and D.I.Y.'ers make a TON of mistakes, really made me appreciate your crafty work and intrigued me to watch more. Thank you. I learned some new tricks bc I'm a DIY'er too and I KNOW I MAKE A TON OF F-UP's. LOL Thanks again and I will def. subscribe to enjoy more vids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT WORK

    Amateur - but why I LOVED it. These projects are new to me and it was VERY nice to see it realistically being built, with minor mistakes. Love the stone too and I will be using that. I hadn't thought of putting a cabinet to the side, but now that I have seen it, I will be doing that as well. THANKS!

    I see there is space on the top of the fireplace. Is that something you are going to finish later?> Like a quarter round or some type of trim to make it look complete. WOW! Besides that small observation, you and your family did a great great job! It looks beautiful!

    • @HunnersDesigns
      @HunnersDesigns  3 роки тому

      Hi Arlene! Great question- we actually can screw it to the wood behind it if we want to secure it more-- we just haven't got around to it. As far as a quarter round, were not going to add anything else. We want it to be accessible so we can remove the face of the fireplace in case we need to do maintenance behind there! Thank you so much for watching!!

    • @HunnersDesigns
      @HunnersDesigns  3 роки тому +2

      Hey there! I think we bought 7-8 boxes (I think). We definitely used a lot of corner piece boxes. My recommendation is to buy more and then if you need to return, you can. We ended up returning a box or two. We also had to exchange one of our boxes for another corner piece box. With air stone, they have two types of boxes, one for corners/wall endings and another for flat wall stone pieces.

    Great video Thanks for sharing. Question are you concerned about the heat from the fire place effecting the TV?

    Just so people know never ever screw or nail above or below a switch plate, wire can either go straight up or down from that plate, depending on how they wired it, you don't want to screw or nail through those.
