I am proud to live in New England, was born and raised in northern, RI. There's really much worth mentioning to see in northern RI, but southern RI has it all! Places like Bristol, Aquidneck Island, Block Island, Jamestown, the beaches in S. Kingstown, Narragansett and Galilee for seafood right-off the boat. Southern RI pretty much has my heart.
Ergh! We do something called City Guides where focus on individual towns in the State. So far, we have Woonsocket, Smithfield, and Lincoln in the northern part of RI, with North Providence, North Smithfield, and Johnson coming soon. Check it out! ua-cam.com/play/PLXhcaiOFtS--DX8aA_7rXH1VMpgf3qqDS.html
I would not waste my time going there. I have plenty to see in my adopted home state. Now the Rhode Island government is discriminating against NYC people. Do not do business with RI. Do business with NYC.
I don't know if the video mentions Jay Leno owns an oceanfront mansion on Ocean Ave in Newport. Nicholas Cage used to own an oceanfront property in MIddletown right next to Newport and Anthony Quinn used to live in Bristol. His family still owns the estate there. His resting place or grave is there as well.
Unfortunately, this video does a disservice to a beautiful state. There is a disconnect between what is shown and what is being read: why show a power plant when talking about Providence? And where are the beaches? We see lighthouses and a cliff. Furthermore, the sound of a mechanical voice is very annoying. Sorry, Little Rhody deserves better!
I spent 55 years in RI as a local. RI was never boring. Everything one could want is practically in the backyard! Much to see and do is nearby! Rhode Island , to me, is the best place to live in the USA. We never see tornadoes, earthquakes, landslides, forest fires nor sinkholes, rarely have severe water shortages and always good water to drink. Newport is a great place, so much to see and do there! Jamestown is also beautiful. I especially enjoy Beavertail State Park. RI also has kite-surfing in Middletown at 2nd Beach. Other beaches are in S. Kingstown and Narragansett. I enjoy watching the fishing trawlers and boats come and go in Galilee while I eat clam cakes and Manhattan chowder from George's (the best seafood). We used to buy lobster right-off the trawlers in Galilee, not sure if they still allow this? Then there's Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, all under two hours away from Rhode Island! Block Island, RI is an hour away by ferry out of Newport. Then there's Plymouth MA, home of the original settlers and "Thanksgiving Day". The White Mountains in NH are 3 1/2 hours from RI. NH offers skiing, sightseeing, foliage, hiking, rock and ice climbing, river tubing. Then there's Lake Winnipesaukee and Weirs Beach. Boston is also great to see and has the best dining. Boston has so many places to see, too many to list! With all there is to see and do in the RI area how can anyone say RI is boring??? :) Newport, RI, for example, has much history! Newport even hosted many pirates back in the day! 26 pirates were executed at Gravelly Point in Newport one day! Then the bodies were buried near shore somewhere at the north end of Goat Island. Not a single gravestone nor marker show that. Then there's kite flying in Newport, RI. Eisenhower House at Fort Adams is also great for picnics and kite flying. The best kite flying is at Brenton Point State Park in Newport, however. Don't be afraid to take kite-flying lessons there if need be! The mobile kite store offers lessons last time I checked. It's so much fun and a great way to meet new friends!
completely ignored the north of RI
a large majority of it is residential and small business, I can see why they would

One thing left out is that Taylor Swift owns a mansion in Watch Hill, RI.

Well you aren’t pronouncing half the places correctly , and you are missing a great deal of the attributes of this place I call home.

Boring is good sometimes

i know only one Rhodes island and that belong at Greece
Rhode Island, officially the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, is a state in the New England region of the United States.
The electronic narration forces me to turn this video off after 20 seconds. Could you not get a human to narrate? What a waste.
