As promised in Part 2 of the Nissan Sentra Cylinder Head repair, it was an uphill battle to find a replacement cylinder head but I finally managed to source one that was all ready to go, enjoy, until next time Safe Motoring.

Lekke video Garry. Enjoyed this 2 part series. I wanted to give a possible recommendation. Use an oil stone to clean up the block surface. Very effective as I've learnt this from a local mechanic. Thank you
Thanks for the advice, Sathasivan I will take it under advisement.
I was waiting for this video after you mentioned there will be part 2....nice job
Thanks for your continued support Sipho it is greatly appreciated.
@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 one more thig please..do you have torque specs for Nissan 1400 engine?

This a 1400 Sentra
I have a nissan sentra sabre that mixed oil and water took the top to engineering I can see the little mistakes I might have made while assembling it back now it mixed again cylinder nummber 4 doesnt fire anymore and it over heats badly the water does not circulate I am planning on taking it back to engineering for pressure testing. I just wanted to know if you would have any other recommendations on what else might be wrong
I would very much appreciate any feed back
Do you know why this engine overheated so badly? Thanks Gary🙏🏻👍🏻
A water pipe burst under the intake manifold causing the car to run out of sufficient coolant and caused the severe overheating.

Hi boss thank you for your help, I appreciate it. But now I have done everything and car starts perfectly but I have a miss on number 2 everything is new even the plug codes, what can it be because when I pull out all the plug codes the engine drops but not number 2
It could be a burnt valve, broken piston rings, or a leaking intake manifold near N0.2 cylinder, do a compression test 1st
Thank u very much sir
All good.
Can you please tell me where you eventually got the refurbished cylinder head, and how much it cost in rands?
I got it from a scrap yard in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town (Brackenfell) around R2500.
@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 Thanks so much for your reply🙏🏻 I've got one of these Sentra 1.4 fuel injection 2001 model still in mint condition and I'm just worried that if I perhaps need a head in 10 years or whatever, if I'll be able to get one?😬🤷♂️🙋🏼♂️
@@BubblesTheCat1 All good, These are tough, reliable vehicles, spares are never a real problem with them in my experience and they seldom break down when well maintained, keep your hand on it and it will serve you well.
@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 Thanks buddy. Yeah, I've been maintaining it meticulously, replaced all water hoses, radiator and I change the oil every 10k kilometres with Castrol Magnatec. I'm in Simonstown, and will keep your details handy in case I have any problems. 🙏🏻👍🏻🙋🏼♂️
