I’ve had that box for quite some time. Mine is sitting in the closet because I found it unusable because of sound sync issues. Now I was trying to use it over USB so you’ve inspired me to give it another try direct to SD card.
I'm considering buying one of these. I've used an AGPTEK and want something better.
How is the microphone audio when recording with the Evolve?
Will this device allow me to hookup 2 DSLR cameras via HDMI and show up as a webcam in Zoom/Skype, etc?

Just to get something clear, does it allow/have USB output to PC for live streaming or it is just recording?
Which screen are you typically capturing from? Windows, Mac, or Linux?
vMix has a couple of free applications for Windows and Mac to allow desktop streaming over NDI which is supported by OBS. You should check to see if it could benefit you in any way.
when i capture either one and try to do benchmarks i try not to run any other applications. also most of the time i'm capuring from RPI with is ARM and it doesn't have NDI
Why doesn't use Atamos Ninja Blade or Inferno screen capture card.
Man I'm totally lost, I totally thought that this Evolve would help, but so far is like a wall of bricks!
After set up, register, I got nothing!
Send emails for help, got my email also verified, installed memory stick, connect to Amazon Firesick 4K, got image going to Tv, but that's about it!
I'm lost, because it says Record, but I don't even can find the records?!?
I was under the assumption that this box would easy to function, would do any thing, recording and play, how?
Do I need also a Pc to record to play?

I've had this little box for years now. For some reason and I'm not sure how or why but the recordings seem to be getting darker. In darker videos, the compression is not great and I have the bitrate i think at 12mbps? Have you had this issue with darker videos?

I've spent about 5 hours trying to understand what I need. I think this Evolve will work, but...I'd like to use my Sony a7I (or a7II, I have both; they are 2K) as webcams for live conferencing (WebEx, etc.) in combination with my proper USB webcam (Tenveo TEVO-VX3-1080). That is my primary use, but I am hoping to start making tutorials for UA-cam). I'm not a gamer. Will this device work for me? I use an Audio Technica AT2020USB2 for audio. I've downloaded OBS if needed. Sorry for the newbie question:( I actually make webcasts for a living (lol) but we record everything in a studio and produce with Adobe Premiere, so this is brand new to me...

Hey, you should definitly check out Pi Lab's os for rpi 4. This is a fantastic retro os with cool emulators and win98 qemu !
With things like this, it aint worth buying cheap china/ebay stuff.
Yeah, tempting, cheap. Did it myself a lot in the past... And dont get me wrong, a lot of times china/no name brands are suprisingly good.
But almost every time, in regards to tech. To buy one, it sucks, buys another one, its OK but later breaks and lastly, you buy the real expensive and known to be good product. And you ended up spending more than just buying the good stuff from the start.
But yeah, I dont judge. I did this all the time mysef. Still want to, but the import tax is fucked up now so cant buy from china anymore :(
I think you should try the elgato 4k60 PCIe capture card. I use it for PS4 capturing, it works realy well. 😉
i wish but most elgoto products works bad on linux
