In my “sex ed” we were separated but as the most awkward trans teen I for some reason decided to say “GIRLS BLEED” and a teacher tried to shush me.
such a slay
The teacher tried to shush you tf 😭💀
Literally in 5th grade, our school gave us "the talk" so our parents didn't have to. I would have preferred my parents try to explain it, but my mom was always sick and my dad was always working, so the only people who sort of raised me were my grandparents and my German Shepherd.
@@TheUltimateUA-camryay your German Shepherd should have taught you, probably could've done better than my school did
My teacher put on a home video and left the room and nobody water to talk about sexed ever after seeing teacher with his wife.
I don't use tampons I use pads, I get kind of annoyed when people think that tampons are the only things women can use for their periods!
Fr, like I wasn’t sure about the peeing with tampons question purely because I choose not to use them.
I use pads too...i find the other thing (tampons) uncomfy looking...
Yeah no I was really surprised by the 20 tampons per cycle thing seeing as I use both pads and tampons and I never use more than 3-4 tampons max lol
@@pandajesus5052 Yeah you're supposed to change them out every few hours, keep it fresh and lessen risk of infection and toxic shock, etc. I think it was every 4 hours? I haven't had to deal with tampons in a while XD
Because pads are disgusting. Diapers for women. And you'll sit in your blood. Ew.
the sad part is in the US there are a lot of cis females/AFAB people who don't know these answers either. (crappy education system/stigma about bodies and sexual health)
afab transmasc but yes i was confused at most of this as well-
I didn't know either, but I have PCOS and I don't want to get toxic shock so I just use pads. IDK shit about tampons.
I just use pads, so no, I don't know much about tampons.

"Humans don't lay eggs" that part has me laughing a little...cause wow, what was that...🤣🤣🤣
They don't lay eggs, they have a live birth as opposed to laying a fertilized egg. Nothing wrong with that...other than he forgot humans still have egg cells lol

If gender is a performance, mine has stage fright 😐
I'm nb and identity as being on your toast
Mine is every role of the play then
Whats really horrifying me is that I, as an afab person, could not have answered more than half of these questions. And I‘ve had sex ed.
i was abt to comment this same thing like bro i know nothing about women's anatomy. i'ma trans man i'ma end up in one of these videos one day 😭
SAME. And while male anatomy is very normalised and everyone just knows about it because people treat it casually, female anatomy is almost taboo in society and no one ever talks about it, so so many people are uneducated on it, including, somehow, me
same but I never even got sex ed I just learn from google whenever I have a question or concern about my body 😭
No literally i feel so dumb even though im transmasc 😭like its not my fault american sex ed is so bad
Same. It didn’t help that I never had sex ed or the puberty talk in school and my mother didn’t tell me anything except to not have sex until marriage 🙃
Sex end in french school : everybody together. It's actually a part of the biology curiculum, not some time set aside especially for that and I feel like it makes more sense that way.
D'accord
Oh, as someone in france, this makes me dread it a bit less, so thanks for that :j
we did some anatomy and reproduction stuff in biology and also sex ed in health class
In Germany we did the same thing in Bio class in grade 5 or 6.
In my country it's just taught in Biology class and everyones together.
We had a separate “boys and girls” puberty talk when I was around 11. And an actual semester of health/sex ed at 15-ish.
However… as a cis male, I’m pretty sure my mom gave a simplified explanation of a period when I was very young.
Kids sees hygiene item, asks “what’s that?” Discussion ensues. Also, I was 5 when my sister was born. Which, at least for me, was old enough to have questions. It’s not that hard to appropriately discuss pregnancy with a child.
For real dude, I’m a guy (not cis) and my parents just kept books about pregnancy and everything and were perfectly open to discussion and gentle explanation on the topic, so I knew all the basic information (where babies come from, periods, even the DIVISION OF CELLS in the womb) before any of my classmates had even seen the differences between male and female anatomy. It doesn’t have to be one big ‘talk’, it can just be gradual explanations, and I wish more people understood that.
@@TerrestrialExtraTerrestrial I was a curious kid. And my mom has never been one to push questions aside with cute stories about the stork or cabbage leaves (old folk tales about where babies come from!). It never harmed me or siblings.
Things were explained in child-sensitive words. My mom is actually a science teacher, though cell division didn’t come up until I was a little older! My takeaway is, kids benefit from absorbing the beauty of life in the first years, then anatomical details slightly later.
I have really bad period cramps right now, and this video is just what I needed. This video also made me really glad to be a lesbian 😭😭
Ugh I’m so sorry 😭 I’m also so thankful I’m a lesbian 🥹
Same I have the worst cramps!! Also very thankful to be gay

Same omg 😭😭
I’m a non-binary lesbian and I don’t know a lot about the tampon questions. I only use pads.
Same 😭
We didn't have "sex ed". We were just taught abstinence for half a class at the last minute in "health and fitness" in high school. And we had to have permission slips signed for them to tell us to wait until marriage.
Real long “drake” situation got me bursting out laughing lol 😭
Stopping everything telling everyone I know to shut up getting a drink and closing my door to enjoy this whole thing💅

Was nice, wasn’t it?
having all that female experience has prepared me for… not being taken seriously… being short??
I’ve had two Sex-Ed classes, one when I lived in Ireland and went to a (very) catholic school and one in America and went to a public high school.
The one back in Ireland didn’t separate based on sex, but the one in America did. And from what I remember the Irish one was better taught.
Also, the ages were different. In Ireland we were thought in 6th class, so about 12/13 years old, in America we got it in our freshman year, about 14/15 years old.
(And now that I’m really thinking about it, it’s actually horrifying that there are 15 year olds who know/were taught less about sex than a 12 year old.)
American education on this stuff is gonna vary by state, possibly even by school district, because the social conservatives make the rules in some places but not all of them sooooooo
As an american this pains me so much. Like they legit don't teach this stuff in school. I don't think anything useful came out of sex ed at my school. Sex ed was legit just a single day where they gave us books and said guys grow hair. Like wtf.
Anyways, I learned at some point that prior to me getting this 'lesson' in school (if it could even be informative enough to be called that), -apparently a nurse used to give the lesson but apparently the guy got too 'in depth' and 'graphic' so then this lady just did it for my class but for some reason still didn't tell the guys anything about women's stuff and legit gave us a story book for anything else. so yeah.
at least we have the internet lol.
I'm a trans guy who had to deal with the US education system, and while the video was amusing to watch, after it was finished I realized that this all seems ridiculous since I've had years now to fill in the gaps that my education left, but if you'd asked me these same questions when I was in my last year of high school or the first year out, I wouldn't have known a lot of the answers. The sense of anxiety left from having no idea what's going on with your own body is unreal. Like, I know dysphoria was part of my discomfort, but it sure as hell wasn't the only factor in why I was so uncomfortable in my own body for years.
i feel this comment so hard
this is one of the funniest videos noah’s ever posted, “i’m too high for this” at least he was honest he should’ve gotten a point for that
Straight adult males who don't understand the female body is the single most telling confession. Like bro have you ever been with anyone?
we were seperated and told like the female anatomy terms while the boys watches a short vid every day and played like kickball ( theirs was taught by the gym teacher the girls was the PRINCIPAL)
I'm old enough to have gone to a VERY conservative all-girls' school in the UK, back in the 'eighties. Our 'sex education' consisted of a couple of nuns from the local convent making a guest appearance to talk to us about periods. They told us what periods were, advised us to use sanitary towels because "tampons are sinful to use before marriage," and gave us what was basically a brochure from a sanitary towel company advertising their product.
I had "sex-ed" in 5th grade (I'm American btw). Boys and girls were split. All they told the girls was that girls have periods, and then we sat there for the next 2 days doing nothing. No idea what the boys learned (but clearly more than the girls). We had to sign forms (parents and students) that said we wouldn't discuss _anything_ from the class with _anyone_ while we were at school, and they hid those forms & locked them away. 🙄
I never learned anything else (well, not from a school, at least).
NO BECAUSE THE TAMPONS IN THE WATER CUPS TERRIFIED ME. they got SO big.
btw i love ur videos.
I remember seeing a documentary about the Royal Navy’s new aircraft carrier, where one of the petty officers sent a rookie sailor on a snipe hunt to ask the highest ranking female NCO for a pair of fallopian tubes.
Even as an afab person I was low-key struggling 😭 that's why my school needs an actual sex ed, I know most of that stuff from reddit and articles lmao
When you see a new video from Noah you know it's going to be a good day
My farts are better than Noah’s farts 💨
I really like that the woman asked these questions and then pointed out by the question of being registered to vote, bc so many amab people are voting on things they absolutely have no clue about which is absurd
I loved that part too.
I'm graduating school this year and I've never had sex ed in school. that's really wild now that I think about it
Let the internet be your sex-ed. There are heaps of educational videos around, in both long and short form content. And there's no stigma in asking your doctor questions.
At my school the genders weren’t separated, which is good. But it was awkward AF. I was sitting across from a bunch boys, and I swear they were ALL looking at me and the girls I was sitting next to to see if we had our period, as if they’d be able tell.
"having all that female experience prepared me for (...) being short??" I felt that so much
im crying noah youd be such an incredible biology/sex ed teacher 😭😭
i appreciate the guys admitting they dont know something instead of trying to waffle their way through
After my sex ed one of my guy friends in my friend group said “what did you guys talk about, we just talked about hygiene” one of my other friends decided to give him the period talk he was traumatized 😭
Yes my sex ed was separated for the first half. Then the next part of it we were in the same room but uhh it wasn’t very “detailed” or anything. They just showed the tampons that go in “vaginal cavities”

@@p-__ incorrect
I‘m still so baffled you were on the cover of KERRANG!
as a cis guy, during sex ed i think we spent 1 class learning about female anatomy and saw a video of someone giving birth. the teaching wasnt that great but also i feel like since men dont have periods and often dont really see exposed female parts besides in a sexual context, it makes it hard for them to care enough to commit the anatomy or non-sex related stuff to memory
I'm a biological girl and my answers to a lot of these questions were the same as some of the men😭😭😭 ig i dont know a lot about my own body

Someone should ask the American lawmakers and politicians who have so much control over reproductive rights and sex ed in school these questions. I think we'd learn pretty quickly that the same people who are ruling that refrigerated embryos being used for IVF are the same as live, born children (yes, a literal court in Alabama has now set this precedent) don't actually know anything about biology or biological functions, especially in women.
Also, I'm ashamed to say that I couldn't answer a lot of these questions, even as a trans guy, because I received absolutely zero sex ed in school. That's not hyperbole; the school taught nothing about it because it was a conservative Christian school and they believe that it's the parents responsibility to teach these things. My parents also taught me nothing about it.
It's also worth noting that even if you are taught sex ed, it's a bit of a gamble whether or not it's going to be comprehensive and realistic, considering only 18 states legally require sex ed to be medically accurate. Can you imagine a class meant to teach children reaching puberty about their biological functions NOT being medically accurate? It would be laughable if it wasn't such a huge problem.
We had a congressman ask an OBGYN testifying why you ‘can’t just swallow a camera and check around the womb’. Sir, the womb and the stomach are not connected. And he was one of the better ones….. at least he just mistook the colloquial phrase ‘the baby is growing in my belly’ literally…. Some of them made up totally impossible medical procedures and others thought women could choose if a baby happens or not (not in a get an abortion way, but a literal will it to not happen)
In our sex Ed we weren’t separated! We got one in primary school where two people came in and told us about like love and romantic feelings and stuff (I’m pretty sure at least one of them was bi) and they also talked a bit about queerness and that it’s normal and okay to be queer and then we got one in secondary school where we talked about the biological side of things and stds and how the reproductive system works and that’s what we got 👍
Oh and I live in Central Europe for reference :D
My friend called his girlfriend a female and I was like wtf and he was like it’s just a thing guys say. I’m a trans guy so I was confused
I started testosterone yesterdayyyy, noah is such a inspiration to me
Woo! Happy T-day, stranger on the internet. I hope it goes well for you.
here in germany the first sex ed in primary school was seperate but the second and third + the class about stds and contraception specifically was mixed genders
As a ftm I’m ashamed to realise that I couldn’t answer some of these questions 😭
I'm American. . .and I 100% agree with you.
reading all the comments makes me feel so lucky for the sex ed I got. It wasn’t separated, everyone learned abt male and female anatomy, stds, birth control, etc. There was also a slideshow briefly covering the differences between sex, gender, gender expression, and sexual orientation which was also cool. it all felt very normalized ❤
“Newer girls” actually took me out, like leg sweep, face plant ended me
To be fair to men, I would not have been able to guess amount of tampons or blood loss each month, I can’t do measurements
Agreed! I choked on water at 'newer girls'.
Two small corrections: The first few days of the cycle are not fertile in the large majority of people, so unless something really weird happens, one can't get pregnant in those days. The discharge can be normal or not, it depends on amount, color, smell, and other symptoms (or lack thereof).
I’m AFAB and nobody taught me these things…
im a ftm and i havent the faintest idea about how female anatomy works becauese of crap segs ed from my school... AND IM 18!!
Let the internet be your sex-ed. There are heaps of educational videos around, in both long and short form content. And there's no stigma in asking your doctor questions.
The fact that when I saw Noah's TikTok about his new song that isn't realised yet but I could get it early I HAVE NEVER spent over £50 so quickly but now his vinyl, CD, T-shirt and his new song is on its way and I LOVE IT.
Also Noah no we did not have different classes both genders were put into one class and given condoms and and everything it was funny though because the next 5 days all we found were condoms (not used) stuck on the walls and ceiling of the school
The first “sex ed” or health class I ever had was in fifth grade (10-11 y/o) and we were separated. In middle school, we were together. In highschool, I was not in school bc of Covid, so we didn’t get “sex ed” or health or anything. Thankfully, I am not dumb, so I did my own research during that time, but I suspect others were not so smart.
Its so odd to think that in my elementary school, I had never been taught sex ed. It was a French catholic school, but I basically just found everything out by myself/from friends. Its crazy to think that my brothers had gone to a catholic school (different than mine) as well and they were taught sex ed
6:47 I have three day periods… sometimes four but the flow is so minimal it doesn’t really count.
Also sex ed, everyone in the same class. Which is how it should be.
It’s genuinely scary that these people are, first of all in relationships with women, and able to vote on things conserning female healthcare
Wow. I have adenomyosis and my periods are generally 7 days, with the first 4-5 days being horribly heavy and painful. It's day 11 right now and I'm still bleeding.
my "sex ed" was called "be smart" and barely touched on sex. periods weren't mentioned once (i was in the girl room, i would know, awkward as hell for a transman). hell, sex was only mentioned a few times. there was more of a focus on drugs, date (noncon intimacy), and abstinence (yeah, it was 100% christianity-based, there was a lot of religious language even though it wasn't a religious school). it was horrible, we had to see pictures of stds (i had to hold my friend's hand and i still cried because it was so gross) and there was no choice if your parents signed you up. you weren't allowed to leave the room once class began, no matter how upset you were. gross as hell.
my afab friends and I love saying the most incorrect facts about our parts and periods to our amab friends. The last one we told them is that you have to lick the tampon before putting it in, which is why they make them smell good
As I straight man I say “ain’t me” btw love from the US
Well, I am female and could not answer the first question 😫😫🤣🤣
5:54 is so accurate, this girl I know voted on who's going to be the head of education completely blindly, just hit up the voting room without knowing anything
as someone assigned female at birth i'm so embarrassed by how little i know about MYSELF
i thought period was ovulating???
I think a lot of this is not only the lack of education but also about how we talk about these things. Often girls talk about their periods with each other but not with boys. Maybe that's also part of the problem. Just another consequence that arises from a homosocial-normative society.
We had sex ed in gender separate classes. We only learned the bare basics of the male anatomy. Unfortunately my sex ed class was in the late 80s, so by the time i got my first period everything was out of date. They gave every girl a kit to stash away so they had what they needed for their first period. Mine included a large pad and a BELT to wear and attach the pad to. Needless to say, by the time I started in the early 90s, belts were completely out of use, adhesive pads and tampons were mainstream and i was completely lost.
my state doesn’t allow schools to have sex ed sadly
I mean the tampon-size thing is not 100% untrue because some people just NEED to use the smallest size cause the ones for heavy flow are just too big (not necessarily to fit but to be comfortable and to use for several days in a row)
his panic i cant- WHAT ARE FALLOPIAN TUBES?
my mom is a sensible woman and has taught me more than triple the info sex ed gave me
Its wild taht they have gf's and dont even know theres three holes
To be honest I'm an AFAB and I don't know most of these if any
I guess it comes from having neglecting parents and also the fact anything related to that gives me a TON of gender dysphoria (I'm a non-binary individual)
Kinda sucks that I never got to learn about it nor have anyone to ask, but then again I've been avoiding those things like the plague since I was a kid so I guess it's normal
Guess I'll have to learn by myself tho I don't even know where to start. These videos are great to learn some things tho
As an American: In seventh grade they gave us half a year in “health” class, we learned about mental health, nutrition, and towards the end of the year, we got “the talk”. They did not separate us by gender and they actually taught us about reproduction, wow! This. . Included a video of a woman giving birth. . Other than that, the class actually taught us stuff! I went to a public school, and you needed parental consent to attend the class, but still.
i don't think we ever had sex ed
My farts are better than Noah’s farts 💨
Something that’s bothering me is that all the talk about periods is ONLY with tampons, they never even mention pads. I’ve never once used a tampon, and never will, but I’ve used pads (and never will again), I’d assume it’s much more popular to not wear something in you, gross
Literally just thinking about it makes me sick. I can't imagine ever wanting ANYTHING in me lmao

I’m AFAB and I’m throughly confused cause I know absolutely nothing about this.
One of those super annoying Adam Sandler movies talked about tampon size and freaking Drew Barrymore's character said that larger tampons were for vagina's who have had "a lot more visitor's". I was so freaking annoyed.
In 7th grade we had HG&D and the teacher was talking about periods. Someone asked if we could pee with tampons in and the teacher said yes and explained why. A different kid randomly shouts, “WAIT, THERE’S THREE?!?!?” 😂😂 the teacher and all the girls BURST into laughter
I am fortunate that I have a mom who gave me books on anatomy when I was growing up. In 5th grade, my school separated us into boys and girls and only taught us the bare minimum (external changes only) about our own bodies. In high school, our health education included both male and female reproduction. Due to a full class schedule I didn't take this class until I was in 12th grade, so I was in a class of mostly 9th and 10th grade girls.
To add some important context I am a trans woman (who wasn't out at the time and most people assumed I was gay) and depsite not having a proper school education on the topic, I was the most knowledgeable in the class on both. It was painfully awkward answering questions that my classmates were too embarrassed to ask our male teacher. It made me sad that so many girls knew less about their bodies than someone who didn't share the same anatomy as them.
It kills me bc I can’t use tampons and have never been able to put one on, so most of the tampons questions I don’t have the answer to 😂
We never were separated...
BRUH. the "aplha males" thought menopause happened to ppl w male rep sys. I have been named the walking sex ed after I talked more than the teacher. (Im a trans guy and I know my shit). It’s definitely a lack of education. In my class I wasn’t taught what any of this stuff meant for afab people. I was only really taught about my Johnson and that I really needed to use deodorant. Also most boys, couldn’t contain their laughter most of the video anyways.

In Australia if you pick human biology (16yr Olds) you learn both reproductive systems in excruciating detail (everything from hormones, ovarian cycle, types of discharge and ovulation, sti's contraceptives etc etc) however in primary school (10yr Olds) they separate the sexes and explain tampons periods and labelling the female body whereas the boys watched a video
