    I watch all your videos and I ship out for BMT on July 5th. I'm in great shape (33 years old) ready to go and will be doing medical logistics. Question : I get golfers elbow from long basketball usage and working out in my right elbow. Once I get passed 54 push ups it kicks in heavy!!! So I know doing push ups alot at BMT is gonna kill my elbow. I can already max out push ups for PT score. But how can I stop myself from injuring and being able to perform during the actual PT test when it comes? I want max score at BMT but I'm afraid the elbow pain will build up during daily PT.
    Thoughts? Will they allow me to wear a band?

    • @Jodywithawhy
      @Jodywithawhy  2 роки тому +1

      You’d first have to get your elbow cleared by our medical staff at MEPS. They’ll want to know all of your limitations with the elbow, and then determine if you’re cleared to join.
      If you’re cleared, then you just wanna make sure you don’t over do it while in basic. Maybe take things a bit slower and not hurt yourself trying to max the test out. But my first advice would be focusing on getting cleared to join. You’re gonna need to gather all medical records regarding that elbow, then give them to a recruiter.

    Hey what’s up man, love your videos! i really appreciate them as I’m considering joint the AF. My main concern is choosing where you’ll be stationed. I think I read a comment on one of your videos where someone said to reach out to the base where you want to go and ask what jobs they’re in need of (if you qualify for them). Would this be the best route for having a better chance to be stationed their? I know the dream sheet options don’t always work accordingly as the AF will station you where they need you the most.

    • @Jodywithawhy
      @Jodywithawhy  2 роки тому +16

      Mannn…it’s tough to get out for depression. The air forces main goal is to make sure you get treated first.
      Depression is common in life Cesar. This is something that won’t go away once you’re out. You first have to learn how to deal and recognize what’s causing your depression. Pin point it down to the trigger moments and figure out ways to make them less impactful on your psyche.
      I’ve dealt and still deal with depression every now and then. I’ve come to realize it’s normal in life to have down moments. You can’t always be up. I believe it’s part of life so we constantly figure out ways to better ourselves. Most of the time I’m dealing with depression is because I’m comparing my life to someone else’s. “I wish I was richer”. “I wish I was happier”. “I wish I had this or that”. Not being grateful for what I already have.
      I know the feeling of feeling like the walls are closing in, but you gotta trust that things will get better. If you wanna talk one on one, hit my email man. Jodywithawhy21@gmail.com. Maybe you could vent some there.

    I see you have tattoos? Is that okay for Active military?

      Tattoos are fine as long as they aren’t offensive or on your face or neck.

      @@Jodywithawhy i guess my daughter has to go to a recruiting office to show what she has on her left hand. She has the whole arm until half of her hand tattooed. We just need to find out if she has to remove it from her wrist down. Thanks for answering.

      She can’t have more than 25% of her hands covered. This video covers our new policy for hand tattoos. ua-cam.com/users/shortsRgRI4w1BMQg?feature=share

    I had a conditional release signed off from the army Reserve to go air force reserve and i wanted medical but There's no medical available at all. I have one year left on my army contract , so I'm going on the irr until my contract is up in October and I'll officially be out. In the meantime I'm going to join the air force rotc and hopefully by the time my army contract is up, medical will be available with AF reserve. 🤞🏾

      If you go ROTC, you can get a medical degree and then apply for an officer position as medical. 😉
