I apologize in advance for my poor Frontier Justice aim lol Great to be back, was just fooling around on my favorite loadout with offensive Leveled guns. With proper placement, gamesense, and timing, you can do as much with a Level 3 on offense as you can with a Mini Sentry! While Battle Engineer suits much more damage-focused “Deathmatch” style play, Leveled Sentries utilized as slightly more passive Minis are a fantastic way to support your team and maintain forward pressure. Appropriately attend to your stuff, move the gear up as necessary, recognize and take advantage of when windows of opportunity open, and learn to use your Sentry as an offensively replaceable teammate and extension of your damage dealing core and you’ll go far. “Teach an Engie to build a Sentry and he’ll frag for a game. Show him how to use it as an extension of himself and he’ll frag for the rest of his career.” ~some odd Engineer Main proverb
@@MVMborzoi Actually the contrary, FJ is similar to Widowmaker in that in order to not waste crits you have to have better accuracy. FJ is functionally worse than Stock Shotgun simply because it has three shots and not 6, thus being slightly less reliable. It compensates by making those three shots potentially one-shots though, which is something to consider.
game sense and creativity beats aim the way I look at it, that's why I play engineer anyway. Great gameplay it's just nice to see a skilled player play with The Justice on here.
The fact that the names of the weapons are related to chemistry is a nice touch. For instance: The Frontier Justice is chloroauric acid (HAuCl4) The Wrangler is Pentaborane (B5H9) The Jag is tert-butyllithium ([CH3]3ClI)
HAuCl4 is Chloroauric Acid. It used in gold refining and coating. B5H9 is Pentaborane. It is a rocket fuel and catalyst. (CH3)3CLi is tert-Butyllithium. It is used in organic synthesis processes. CH3NHNH2 is Methylhydrazine. It is used as a high energy fuel.
Day 17 of asking for the Pirate Captain Demoman! Weapon Loadout: The Bootlegger The Tide Turner The Persian Persuader Cosmetic Loadout: The Buccaneer’s Bicorne The Bird-Man of Aberdeen Mann of the Seven Sees
So I was wondering about the origin or thoughts behind the “scientific name” of each weapon in the loadout. Well I’m sure the frontier justice’s name is a reference to the Au-stralium but what about the others?
Hey Sin, love the videos btw but wanted to ask something about sheens: How do I know what I’m getting and can I buy villainous violet off the steam market?
How is he even any close to "carrying" the game? The end scoreboard is very dull and considering that this engineer's been doing nothing but turtleing and building up his little comfort zone without killing people that much, he still got the topscore of the match. That means something, right? Right, that means that the lobby was full of bad players and no one even a bit better than a fresh install
I could have honestly used Gunslinger but I wanted to use something more passive that required better knowledge of timing of when to move gear up. Gunslinger is great for aggro styles but tbh I wanted something more passive-aggressive than that. Also note that the Spy I was playing with (the guy I high-fived at the start) is known for being able to topscore pretty easily and I was able to outscore him. By virtue of playing Level 3s, you have to camp or play around certain areas more but by no means am I “turtling” with this loadout.
@@StarTard8 It's not about the weapon choices lad, it's about the core gameplay, you never commit to any pushes whatsoever, despite engineer as a whole being a scout that has buildings, guaranteed crits and less mobility. Same damage, same opportunities for aggressive play. But you've shown no potential of engineer despite playing the class for absurdly long times
@@vaseslavy8516 That’s vastly wrong. Engineer doesn’t have nearly the same opportunities to play aggressively because of his lack of mobility. That’s why Gunslinger is the weapon it is, because it gives you 25 more HP (which SUPER matters for longevity) and lets your Sentry placements become far more aggressive (since minis cost less metal and have higher DPS than Level 1s). With Jag you have to play more passively because your lack of building fluidity forces you to have to make people come to you. Moving a Leveled Sentry up is all about timing, since good or even half decent players are able to spam one down while it redeploys. When playing Leveled guns you should NEVER commit to a push unless you are certain you can provide winning support for it since you’re restricted to playing at the speed Leveled guns can be built and redeployed. Saying Engineer is Scout with buildings and that unlocks don’t affect that shows a level of oversimplification and inexperience that comes from not actively playing the class for any significant period of time. Engineer is a class fundamentally carried by his unlocks and how he plays depends heavily on what the player chooses to equip. I play FJ because it outdamages Scatter with crits and works well with Leveled Sentries by virtue of them more readily securing kills with passive-aggressive play. Camping an area and moving up when an opportunity presents itself is what you HAVE to do with Leveled guns, you have to play supportively and not fully aggressively.
If this guy was a real engi main he would use the Wrangler more, there was some situations he could have saved his sentry if he pulled out his Wrangler. Great video keep it up!
On offense I care far less about my Sentry so I don’t have cause to pull the Wrangler out unless I’m being super pressured. My mentality around my Sentry on offense is “it’s a disposable extra teammate, if it dies I get crits and if not then I can move it up as/when necessary”. On strict Defensive play I pull Wrangler out much more often to tank large amounts of damage and spam but because I care so much less about keeping my Sentry alive on Offense I don’t often pull the Wrangler out. It’s always there if I want/need it though, as it’s an insane tool for denying big counter pushes or fighting multiple people with a Level 1 or 2. On Offense I care far more about maintaining a Tele and making space than denying area, thus the Sentry often takes a back seat once it hits Level 2. Just some musings from a 3500+ hour former Competitive Highlander Engineer.
