  • In this episode, I am crossing the border from Panama into Costa Rica. Will it be a smooth border crossing or one of those slow and confusing ones?!

That's how I feel about watching your kind graceful traveling around the world. You show us all things that we otherwise would have missed. Thank you for your vicarious sight-seeing tours.

As a Panamanian national, I have leaned more about my country thru the eyes of this Holandeza that I have learned while living in Panama. From one of the toughest border crossing in America to places I didn’t know it even existed. I lived my Pan American adventure with Noraly 3 times a week. Bravo, bravo.

@@ridewithmimi I used to cross the Zambia/Zimbabwe border regularly, .........every week in fact. The methodology is to give yourself enough time, even if you are stopped, it's just a waiting game, ............if you wait, don't get upset, chill out and engage with the border guards, sooner or later they will let you pass. They make money out of impatient people, and sometimes like to cause shit, ........just chill and be nice.

@Motorcycles and Travel Not only she has to check herself out but also Alaska!! I love riding to Central America from the USA but every time is an experience that you tell yourself: I am done with it! Many times once I got to Panama from the USA, I told myself: that's it: I am done with crossing these borders, I am flying back! But then again, I have never had a real bad experience! It just takes time. And as long as you check local holidays and do not attempt to cross on weekends or later in the afternoon you will be fine! That's just me talking after 20 roundtrips!

I was at this border over 8 years ago. It is amazing that it still looks exactly the same and they haven't bothered to put a single sign up to guide foreigners to the immigration building. They fixed up the bridge though. When I was there it was a ramshackle wooden bridge with broken train tracks.

Chaoo y buenas tardes, noches o días.

Hike the trail through the jungle to the ocean under the moonlight and you might see an Ocelot by the river where it meets the ocean. I got lucky one full moon morning and saw one back in 04. Have an amazing time in Costa Rica🇨🇷, Noraly. For a great ride, you might want to go from the town of Turrialba on route 230 to La Pastora and from there to the active Turrialba Volcano, amazing views and vegetation. If not too late, or if you want to sleep in a cool climate, sleep there and head on over to Irazú Volcano. From Irazú, instead of taking a highway into San José, take A scenic route 219 to 218 at Llano Grande into San José.

Panama was impressive and fairly affluent and well managed. I am happy to watch these videos because you are a scout for which country that I would like to visit. When your journey is done, your motorcycle will need a special retirement home, it is such a good bike.

I am still amazed how you find your way around so easily. Even communicating with people in all the countries you visit. The further from the border crossing the more beautiful the views. Looking down into the villages from so high up was spectacular. I would want a baby llama too! When that bus came out of nowhere around the mountain turn I realized how lucky you were to have stopped riding for a few minutes. No room to get out of the way! Thank you for another great adventure. Stay safe and take care.🤗

Goed bezig Noraly. Dikke merci, op zijn Vlaams.

Cool that we all get to explore Costa Rica for the first time with you! Keep up the awesome job you're doing as a 'motorcycle traveller', although you need to add videographer, documentary maker, geography and geology teacher, clothing entrepreneur, multilingual adventurer/explorer...etc etc etc! :)

    Noraly,
You have become an all rounder.
    You are a true traveller.
Your varied skills set is impressive and gets you through every time.
Your personality may be your greatest strength - being a nice person in this World is still a treasure.
I do worry for you in some of the more inhospitable places you visit.
You are not spending all your time chasing material things.
The memories of your adventures will be irreplaceable when you look back in later life.
You are proof of what determination, hard work and a strong heart can achieve.
    Let op je veiligheid. 😉

I'm so happy to see you come to my country! I hope you have the best of times. Keep away from bigger coast towns, they tend to be filled with thieves and the like. Definitely visit Arenal Volcano, Rincón de la Vieja Volcano and Chirripó Peak! Best of lucks in CR. PURA VIDA!

Another excellent video! I'm sure you'll find some adventures to share. It's what you do! Can't hardly get up the next day without finding a new adventure.
And, as always, working your way through the little troubles that pop up. Costa Rica looks inviting. I enjoyed seeing that meal you ate!
Seeing the sloth was a bonus, and I'm sure there'll be more animals and people you find interesting, and the trip will be rewarding. Take care!

Costa Rica is one of the most beautiful parts of the world. Lots of flora and fauna to learn about and the food is fabulous.
Take your time there, well worth it exploring the country. And they take US dollars just about everywhere.
