That’s exactly why I kept my Isonic 117Wide (80cm) from 2013, which also is fast As hell and has got an incredible wind range. Yes, I‘m keen on foiling as well, but I also love apples and pears…;)
And one year later: soon after this video bought the same 77 (a friend too). Confirming everything - initially thought the 72/73 and 85 would do the trick and "refused" to think of the 77. But after one year I can say: this is the best board I ever bought - the board I am using most because very fast (speed + planning) and meanwhile really need >20kn to justify using 73.
My lightwind setup: AHD GT75 124L board with 54cm racing fin and Duotone 2-cam 9.3 long-boom sail. Works like a dream in 12 knots and up...the AHD board is incredible it planes almost instantly! Thanks for the vid bro 🤙🤙🤙
Interesting. There are more people thinking like you. That’s why I keep my older 9.6…. So nice … But, can you tell us, what’s the bottomshape is off the iSonic 77?
I know what will be the next topic that everyone will want to know. What is the difference between foil and fins sails?Jhon Sukos drives for fins sails in the races and has no problem.
Hi Wojtek, thanks for the info. What is your weight? I am also looking into a better light wind setup, but I am around 93kg so would assume the 83 or 85 would be a better choice for the 12-17knot range.
Nick, I am 95kg and iSonic77 is perfect even in 12 knots lows on my 9,4. Try it you will love it. Actually I have the 83 for sale very cheap but it is hard to send it around Europe..
hi Wojtek, do you also use a rdm on the 7.0 mach3? if so how did you make the adjustment from a sdm to a rdm mast? did you add additional spacers to the sdm cams or switched to rdm cams instead. i have a 7.0 too and would like to make the switch to rdm too, but are getting a lot of vertical "stripes" in the mastsleeve when i switched the mast to rdm. thanks for your help
Leon, Sure, on 7,0 I use Severne RDM RED 430 mast . I keep the standard SDM cambers but I put 4 thick spacers on each one. It will be perfect you will see :)
Hi! I have some question about the rigging: what harness length do you use? Do Severne's sail really weight as reported on the website? How much longer do you set the boom compared to what is reported the sail?
My favourite is Kuznica about 1 KM off the beach into direction of Gdynia. There is a sand bar going for many kilometers into the bay and with west or north-west wind this is one of the best places on the planet. Beautifull bright cristal clear water, no seeweed and zero chop. You can ride full speed 5 meters from the sandbar :)
Do not share your secret knowledge about sail tuning ... after this it will be never secret anymore :) BTW - could you borrow your 77 to testing ? see you soon on water !
I've Severn 9.4, 8.6 and newly get 7.8 sail Starboard isonic 137L and newly get 127L only have drake 48cm fin Do I need 44 and 40cm fin or jsut 42cm fin can cover?
Your Videos are always great

Wow so a lot of secrects thanks a lot Cleats my next Board for light Wind is the Isonic 77 !!!
This is the main type of sailing I do as well. I prefer it personally to the foil, but I may try the foil again soon. Thanks for the content.
Foil is nice but it is just a totaly different sport. Like ski and snowboard. But on foil it is hard to get this rush like on the high wind fin :)

Thank you for thinking ouside the box and sharing your tips

It does not really matter. What matters is that it is great :) Try it, you will see.
thanks for sharing, love the 7.8 mach3 too! would be awesome to know what exact camber setup you use to rig the 7.8 on RDM.
I use normal SDM cambers but with 4 thick spacers on each one. It workes a charm :)
thanks for your reply, good to know🤙🏼
This is really good board. Have tested it. But it so fragile 😢 One uncontrolled catapult and you will end your session 😜
Thank you for great content. Keep them coming. Want to join you on a slalom camp in Egypt. Contact me next time.
Sure :) We make clinics in Egypt 2 times a year. Now in autum, 26 October till 02 November and than mid March 2024.

Interesting! What wind range you think you could cover with a 71cm wide board and an 8m² sail?

A po polskiemu już nie można 🤔🤙
Można włączyć tłumacza na youtube. Podpisy po polsku.
Palec mnie boli😊
A swoją drogą Angole to nie mogą sobie napisów uruchomić? Chyba nie są jelopami by przycisk tłumaczenia uruchomić 🤔Czy są 🤔
Thanks for the information. What are good locations in Poland for flat water blasting? (I would be travelling by car from the north, Estonia)
Bay of Puck (e.g. Rewa or Chałupy) and lake gardno
