Thank you Wojtek, for an excellent explanation of the boards, sails and fins. Your insights are always very useful and thought-provoking.

Wojtek is always the most interesting rider to hear because he's going beyond the 'brand line' and saying what he finds from his own experience. Agree or not it's fascinating.

Hi Wojtek, you speak out of my heart, i ´m now windsurfing for 42 years and what you say is exactly my philosophy of reducing my equipment to a one-for-all-board (or two), two sails, one boom one mast and 4 or 5 fins. I also tried crazy fin-sizes in relation to the used board - thats why everybody calls me insane. But it works (maybe even in a small windrange) but if conditions turn, the change is easily done. And so i´m planing with small equipment, when everybody else is parking on the water. I would really love to try one of your fins - i´m absolutely sure they are perfect - actually i use Chopper and c-fins. I even put slalomfins in my FSW (i have 2 Boards FSW + SL) - and it works. I really appreciate your detailed videos!! 🤙

Hi Wojtek, great explanations and I like your approach with just one board. I completely that you have more time on the water with less equipment because the choice of material is easier. Usually I have been using 2 boards and 4 sails. A few years ago I bought a foil and after some tests I bought a JP FSW 94 as my new high wind Board. But I can use the Foil with this board. With the Foil and without my Former larger board and without the largest Sail my wind range ist larger than before. So single board and 3 sails are fine. In low wind conditions I use a freerace Sail, change to four straps and carbon fin. For smaller sails I use a thruster Setup. It works very well.

How is the 2024 Isonic 77 compared to the 2023 you were riding? Maybe they are the same?

I would go for iSonic 77 and 67. These are my favourite boards for 2024😊

      …but for a light rider (74kg) the 73???🤷‍♂️

I think that mixing two different shapes within 1 range of board-type is very confusing. This get compounded by the rate at which Starboard typically updates there board-ranges. And why is this not explained on the website of Starboard?

Great Video👏👍What are the differences in set up and what fins are suitable for the 63 and 73?

First of all for 2024 iSonic 63 & 73 my fins is a must. If you use a standard fin like Carpenter or Chopper the board ride is just to low. Of course you need to have your footstraps all the way back. The 73 is a big board but it is trimming like a high wind board. It is not really suitable for light winds. The 63 is a high wind mashine amazing for hardcore conditions. I love it😁

Hy Wojtek, i see that you use a seat harness, whats your opinion on terms of performance vs waist ?or is just a matter of body type?

    • @wojtekbrzozowski

For me it's the matter of comfort. Seat harness is just so much more comfortable. Allso give you more Control over your gear.

Hey Wojtek. I have the 2022 IS 67 carbon reflex which is my favoirte board without doult. Whilst I was not going to change it for another year is the 2024 67 wood any better or I am I better waiting for the 2025 version? I am 82 kgs, using it Evo 6.5 and 7.4 with carbon fin 37 and 35 but still testing various sizes. PS Now looking at moving my footstraps on my IS 77 as well.

Hi Wojtek, thanks for your movies like the in dept explanation. Can i ask you for advice? I surf for 15 years and now I want to go faster (> 50km/h) and buy my first slalom board. I have free race sails 6,5 and 7,8 (16-25kn), the latter i use most together with an old rrd spitfire 129 and a bic 283. I am 85kg and surf mostly on a small lake the that can be choppy/bumpy. Now i found the x-fire 129/85 and others in that volume range size range like the 77 or 85. But im not sure if i should go for a little smaller board around 115/75 to work with my sails and with chop. Can you give me advise wat would probably make me most happy when buying only one first slalom board?
    Thanks!
ps on crazy days 25-40 i take my smal lwave board.

    Hi Wojtek, great video !
What board would you recommend for a 92kg sailor for light winds conditions 12-20kts ?

    • @wojtekbrzozowski
      @wojtekbrzozowski  7 місяців тому

I would say iSonic 77 as it is amazing in marginal light winds and also extremaly nimble and fast in stronger winds like 20 knots.
