Great Video. I’ve been using Chocolate Brown on my channel. My next project will be 50/50 Chocolate Brown/Peacock Green. I am sticking with the RIT Synthetic because I noticed it dyes the plastic buckles and hardware as well.
There's a couple of OD greenish recipes on the Rit website using their peacock green mixed with the chocolate brown. Both are the dyemore version for synthetics. I think one of the recipes is called swamp green that is pretty close to OD
I agree with the Apple green being too bright. I found the RIT dye recipe for OD GREEN and did several acu pouches and hydration carrier. I think it looks great. Can still see digital patterns through the dye.
For Magpul FDE mags use the following Rit Dye. Sage = Ranger green, Dark Green = OD Green, Dark Brown = M81 woodland chocolate. 5min at 190F(off heat) w/ 2.5 cap lids per 2L. Just adding some rit dye knowledge. I will be trying each one on ACU pouches and hoping it matches the magazine colors.
Ok you need to throw it in the batch again with the other color and probably mix in match so it can really look more like the army camouflage and that will help you better to cheve what you really want I hope that this advice was helpful for you. And it came out very good .
so put it on and show us with you out in the bush. but then how does this rit die work at night? will it light up with a uv light pointed at you? how about see in the dark glasses? thermal gets lit up way to easy, unless you are covered in mud.

I found apple green to be a bite spring color - brown dye makes ACU usable.
You can use regular rit on synthetics if you add vinegar, keep the water just under a boil and keep submerged for at least 15 minutes

That Atacs dyed looks super good. I may snag some BDUs in that pattern just to dye it
Excellent work

Just good for breaking up outlines but they're now going to glow under NVG's
Краситель Rit не светится в nir проверено
What if i have army green pouches and I want it darker green, do I simply use black dye?
Go to the rit dye website. They have more information for blending colors.
I've dyed several ACU packs with Rit dye. The key to get the dye to take is vinegar and salt.
