I agreed! The Company that now owns Dodge expects American Consumers alongside the Current Government to forcing electrification on the average household. All of Dodge past models up until this year has a basic model that starts under 40k even tho they were gas models. So You’re expecting just to throw a bunch of cash for an electric sport car? I think only a few handful of die hard enthusiasts would purchase this vehicle. Also the infrastructure etc ( electric gas stations) are not ready available in most major cities. I’m aware the House and Congress are both trying to pass legislation for the total phased out of Gas Commercial Vehicles in the US, but the problem is the simple fact Millions of US citizens own Gas vehicles and they aren’t going to upgrade unless the infrastructure and Government back loans to help purchase the vehicles are in place and almost every home going to have to have a electric vehicle socket placed in their homes to charge a electric vehicle. All of these things need to be addressed first. Dodge is going to loose a lot of money for discontinuing Gas vehicles. Maybe Dodge should have waited another 15 years to do this. A different consumer will buy this. I suspect that people who are checking out the current base Tesla Model S will give the Scat Pack sedan a look. I think the Hurricane will be 50-60K, so the targeted consumer for the previous Charger will likely end up with one of those.
I know evolution is necessary for any brand, but I'm holding on to my Hellcats for life! That said, this may be the first EV I've seriously been interested in. Mainly because it doesn't look like one AND Dodge finally reverted back true-to-design on a 68/69 design. Not gonna lie, Dodge swung hard on interior execution. Vastly improved! Dodge cringes when you mention the Model 3 Performance. Over $20k less and much faster than the base Charger. That's before the "gutsy" dealers start their markup nonsense.
Joe, I am going to zonk this car. These carmakers went electric too soon. This Charger does not know what it wants to be. Doors are too short. Over priced. Challenger has to come back cause this is not a replacement for both the charger and challenger.

Unfortunately they gov is forcing their hand 🤦🏻♂️
Can you imagine pulling up to red light next to a real Hellcat? Even if it was faster, I would still be embarrassed.
Faux muscle-car.
And your Hellkitty will be chasing it lol
Make sure your windows are up so you can’t hear the laughing. Turn up your radio so you don’t hear as much of the V8 revving going on next to you. 😂
Let's be honest, you wouldn't. Why would you be embarrassed pulling up next to something so common on the road?
@@reenverseme9358lol... Less common is not always a good thing 🤣🤣🤣
i want one. I think people under 35 won't want it but over 35 who have driven multiple EV cars and owned loud cars will appreciate these ELECTRIC MUSCLE CARS!
I love how when the camera blurred when you said “electrified muscle car” 🤣🤣 0:20
I just can’t Joe, sorry.
I feel your pain
I can't drive 3 blocks without seeing a challenger. I'll maybe see one of these every 3 months
I’m curious about these cars and the tech but I will never actually buy one. Never.
You are not the first to say that
@@RaitisRides Actually I was destined to buy the new M2 but it is so ugly and dystopian I am going to hunt down the previous model, the M2 CS. I will always have real analog gauges in front of me and a real engine under the hood.
I don’t hate it. But for that kind of cash I may as well stick to a P100 Tesla
80k then one year later it worth 40k
As good as you are Raiti not even you can make this car desirable
lol you are freaking hilarious
80K way too much
I totally agree with you
600HP is sick. Not sure why people are complaining!!! Dodge Power!!!
Hi -
Lori and Joe well done and very informative. Car looks great and It will do well. I also like the tribute to Romberg “ R-Wing”.
Thank you and happy holidays. ❤
HARD PASS
Thanks for your vote
I’m scared cause something tells me we are gonna be used to this in the near future now car meets are gonna be about showing off your exhaust speaker like who’s sounds better and hoods popped open to show off the electric battery
At that point it’s all over or it’ll only be us that have older V8 muscle cars that do car shows lol
This would be nice at 50-60k but this car has been priced out of its targeted market.
A different consumer will buy this. I suspect that people who are checking out the current base Tesla Model S will give the Scat Pack sedan a look. I think the Hurricane will be 50-60K, so the targeted consumer for the previous Charger will likely end up with one of those.
I wouldn't spend over 35k on this
I think I would purchase that Joe it's a beautiful car. Love the design in & outside the car. Thank you Laurey for your hard work!
Great review Joe & I really loved this vehicle.
The ambient lighting looks like something out of an S-Class/M70. The materials appear top-notch as well.
Joe: The car seems rather tall and I say that becsuse the thing is running 305/325 tires f/r but the wheels look like 17s on this thing!😂
Very good perspective
Why can’t they have this updated look and features in a regular gas fueled car?😢
Because they went with the leftist agenda green new deal BS.
Exactly.......sell gas powered cars first ( V6 and V8) and if it sells maybe offer an electric option.
My guess is aerodynamics and cooling
@@markg7030 that’s too much common sense lol 😂. The government doesn’t want us burning fuel they are morons.
Joe, you do a great job selling this crapcake ..,. But either way you cut it, it stinks
I hear you man for sure!
If any of the sound designers happen to read this, please, from a sound designer’s perspective, add that imperfection element to the sound engine system. Currently, the sound is so perfect that I can almost hear the parameters of the audio engine or middleware you’re using changing but its missing the soul and the imperfection of a real engine.
Challenger has to come back cause this is not a replacement for both the charger and challenger.
hopefully the challenger comes back with the save like always
Sounds like a charger if you had ear plugs in
I think worse than that
It does sound better than a Tesla.😊
The sound is what you would expect from a cheap video game.
@@32phoenixxwhy don't I just find a UA-cam video that replicates something that's not under my hood and keep the sound on full blast.
Best looking Charger ever !! There's just something about fake exhaust sound coming out of muscle car I'll never get behind. Thanks Joe and Lori ! A great review as always 🤙🏼
I don't think anybody selling their hellcat for that. Seems cool. More novelty than anything
I don't think anyone in their right mind would trade a hellcat for this.
These golf carts are going hard 😂😂
Even the camera cringed at 0:20 saying electric muscle car lol
😂😂
the interior is 5x better than any dodge product ive ever seen
This electric version will go down in history as a fail. The I6 turbo could be cool tho.
201 mi at 95% battery should be criminal. I cannot recommend this vehicle to anyone. Model 3 performance is faster and has over 100mi+ of more of range.
This car will flop like Concord, Spiderwoman, and Snow White, no one wants this type of crap
"Everything woke turns to shit"

I see what you did there
@@smy5607it's almost like it has nothing to do with it being "woke" they were all just bad products regardless of politics
Reminds me of the old Rrraw power handle bar attachment we use to put on our bikes IN THE 70s . It would sound like a motorcycle when you revvved it ...
I wouldn’t dare sell my Hellcate to buy the new Charger. The Hellcat will always be king.
That’s really a extremely beautiful car to me, people just saying it’s ugly cause it don’t have a v8, if it had a V8, it would’ve been the most beautiful iconic legendary car..
Yes because they cannot pop the hood to show off modified v8 engines at car show, get with the time fellows & embrace technology👍🏿
Love white knuckle……..and two door look. Prices of vehicles getting crazier by the day 🤪. Thanks Joe and Lori !
We appreciate you Tom!
I would honestly invest more on the v8 charger than the electric verison. The car is great don't get me wrong, nobody wants to have electric for most part. I wish they could do more on the gas verison of the charger though for a redesign at least.
