I love the new monsters, but is always this weird bittersweet feeling when you see that some monsters you like didn't make it. I always miss the crazy chicken energy Yian Garuga brings to the cast. And I find it so weird to have Great Baggi, Great Wroggi and the small Jaggi, but not Great Jaggi the same with having Uroktor and not Agnaktor
Ya, having jagras without great jagras and uroktor without agnaktor feels weird. But I think capcom forgo agnaktor in favour of magma almudron and because rise have ao many fire monsters already
@@Chronostra I understand that is a game design choice (great jagras design point, for exemple, was eating, having the expanded belly and then regurgitating...which tetranodon also does, so having both could feel repetitive) but not having them still feels weird. And the fact that I don't like how almudron kind phases through solid earth in the same animation it has on water causes me not to feel very invested in him having a variant.
You guys do realize we got 3 new uncreative monsters and a lot of old monsters right? Again I've never seen a list so packed with old monsters lol if u want a rehash of the old games they're already killing their game giving that to u guys :/

Its so awesome to see Gore Magala and Sha Magala back in the game. I started my first MH game with MH4U and they were the flagship monster. Freaking love those 2.

Haven’t been playing rise in a while, but these new monsters look dope 👀🔥 Edit: Also from the intros, they’re mostly all just a bunch of bullies 😭 Makes me feel less bad (when) hunting them now 😂
I'm loving the new monsters, they brought back some from Freedom Unite, Frontier, Generations U, and World. I have to admit though that I miss Lagiacrus, Tetsucabra because of the armor, Blangonga and Yain Garuga. Ofcourse the Uragan and Deviljho are always fun to fight. But the one I'm missing most is the Akantor and Ukanlos, they used to be so tough to beat, not every hunter could reach that level back in freedom unite.
Tobi is honestly one of the harder fights for me, or at least he was when I was new at Rise. The think that makes him worse than his World version for me is how he shoots those little projectiles that you don't expect. He got tougher and something like Nargacuga got easier without its bleed.
Aren't we gonna mention how Kushala is literally having the upper hand on a combat against Furious Rajang who is even more powerful than regular rajang and Kushala's weak to thunder??? :0
ok so I watched the scorned magnum dong cutscene in .25 speed and here’s everything that happens in the cat vs doge fight a powered up zinogre charges at s. magnamalo and ends up underneath s. magnamalo, s. magnamalo tries to push zinogre but zinogre uses his back to push magnamalo away from above him, they both recover and stand and two legs then push each other’s arms in a stalemate, magnamalo tries to bite zinogre’s head but zinogre ducks and pushes magnamalo onto the ground but magnamalo pulls zinogre down too and they both roll, they somehow end up away from each other, zinogre leaps at magnamalo but magnamalo powers up which launches zinogre backwards causing him to be tired for a few seconds, then they charge at each other but magnamalo raises his hand up and uses a hellfire explosion to spin around once past zinogre, interestingly enough though, he uses his arm to scratch zinogre’s arm (I think) and his tail is what seemingly delivers the killing blow to zinogre’s torsoe or neck, after this there are several large hellfire and lightning explosions then zinogre collapses with the thunder bugs he had leaving, in short: mh is rlly good at action
I wish odogaren was in this, or the lunergaren armor set looked like odogaren set. Missed opportunity in the base game, was hoping it would make it in the dlc
i have not a semblance of what's happening here but all i know is that i genuinely love malzeno and pyre rakna-kadaki with every fiber of my being, despite not knowing exactly who or even what they might be (except monsters, of course)
Rakna-Kadaki, in general, is one of my favorites, but the new one is even cooler. She lives in a volcanic region naturally, so the Pyre form is essentially a sub-species that adapted to her environment and learned to use fire. The normal form's armor is also beautiful with the veils and stuff; it's very gothic. Malzeno is a new Elder Dragon, which in the Monster Hunter universe means they are rare, mythic monsters that are four-legged rather than wyverns, pseudo or otherwise. (There are also those like Kirin that are still considered Elder Dragons, despite the interpretation of a kirin in the games not being very draconic). So, basically, Malzeno is a creature of mythic status with an obvious vampire inspiration. The intro is especially cool because the other monster it drains is Rathalos, an apex predator known as The King of the Skies. Rathalos is to Monster Hunter what Pikachu is to Pokémon. Simplified: a brand new monster for the update straight up tricked and took out the series mascot that's been here since the beginning and made it look majestic. Sorry for the info dump, but I felt compelled to tell you since I like them as well. :)

Do you guys offer a rebind tutorial or recommendations for k/m users? Now with Sunbreak we have additional inputs and using the letter U to use my silks means i have never once moved through the air or recovered from a knockback
I rebind my silk stuff to "C" - It is easier to use the index finger for "C" and the thumb for "Space" - the special stuff to "Q", so I can move forward with the middle finger on ""W" and use the ring finger for "Q" - Use items went toi "E" and interact to "F". All camera/buttons I don't press as much to the right side of the keyboard. The only thing I don't understand is that, for some reason, I cant rebind run to "left alt" so I can run with my thumb.
Personally put Special attack/ability on Ctrl and Wirebug on Mouse4, however if you’re using ranged, you’re on your own the controls feel omega janky on k&m
I'm playing Dual Blades! I'm just very overwhelmed by the possible controls or overlaps. Just hoping to find someone with more experience than me to give me some pointers! You guys have been a help! Any advice is welcome!
Super disappointed they didnt bring Gammoth in or Congalala or Kecha Wacha or Bulldrome or Gobul But that's just because their some of my favorites Its still a good cast of monsters
I do like a lot of the intros. There are some that I'm really not too big on. Magma Almudron is one of those. I feel that how it demolishes the Uroktor is disrespectful to Agnaktor, the monster that came before Almudron was ever created. It's enough that quite a few of the monsters in the game don't have their adult versions (Zamite, Basarios, Jaggi). At least, Zamite and Basarios didn't end up like the poor Uroktors. That would have been something if Aurora Somnacanth killed a group of Zamites instead of the Izuchi. What would have been cool is if they had it fight an Agnaktor in the intro. Maybe it could win the confrontation and the Agnaktor could either collapse or retreats. But it is what it is. With that out of the way, Shagaru's intro is really cool. Of the elder's in the game, I think Chameleos, Shagaru, and Malzeno have the best ones. I like how Scorned Magnamalo faces a Zinogre. The ultimate showdown between a Cat and a Dog. And I think the cat won that fight. Espinas intro wasn't too bad. It would have been better if it fought a Kushala Daora instead of a Nargacuga. It makes more sense for it to fight Kush rather than Narga. And that's what I think about some of the intros.
The odd thing about this is that the Brachydios did that in 3 Ultimate. In his intro cutscene, he is shown killing a normal uroktor, however in his ecology video not only does he fight agnaktor, but also kills him.
Yeah but I think capcom not adding agnaktor is based on the existence of magma almudron and the fact that rise/sb have so much fire monsters already. I mean come on, ian los + apexes, basarios, rakna + more fire rakna, anjanath arknosom, bagel + sizzling bagel, donald trump, teo, espinas, magma grandpa, who do I miss? Compared to other elemental mons, fire was dominating in numbers....no wonder they won't add agnaktor or gravios. Might change in the future tho.
It is always a food chain. But at least Rathalos is taken down by Vampire "morbing" Dragon. Look at Kushala. An elder dragon that still can't compete with Angry Monke. 😂
I keep watching these to hopefully see if a secret monster they didn’t advertise made it in the game. They typically don’t show “all” the new monsters. Any bets?

It's enough that quite a few of the monsters in the game don't have their adult versions (Zamite, Basarios, Jaggi).
At least, Zamite and Basarios didn't end up like the poor Uroktors. That would have been something if Aurora Somnacanth killed a group of Zamites instead of the Izuchi.
What would have been cool is if they had it fight an Agnaktor in the intro. Maybe it could win the confrontation and the Agnaktor could either collapse or retreats. But it is what it is.
With that out of the way, Shagaru's intro is really cool. Of the elder's in the game, I think Chameleos, Shagaru, and Malzeno have the best ones. I like how Scorned Magnamalo faces a Zinogre. The ultimate showdown between a Cat and a Dog. And I think the cat won that fight.
Espinas intro wasn't too bad. It would have been better if it fought a Kushala Daora instead of a Nargacuga. It makes more sense for it to fight Kush rather than Narga. And that's what I think about some of the intros.
The odd thing about this is that the Brachydios did that in 3 Ultimate. In his intro cutscene, he is shown killing a normal uroktor, however in his ecology video not only does he fight agnaktor, but also kills him.

Yeah but I think capcom not adding agnaktor is based on the existence of magma almudron and the fact that rise/sb have so much fire monsters already. I mean come on, ian los + apexes, basarios, rakna + more fire rakna, anjanath arknosom, bagel + sizzling bagel, donald trump, teo, espinas, magma grandpa, who do I miss?
Compared to other elemental mons, fire was dominating in numbers....no wonder they won't add agnaktor or gravios. Might change in the future tho.

Even if we didn't see the ecology where Espinas fights Kushala, at least we got a turf war with them.

They never show the final boss, but they did show everything. Probably because it was all leaked 2 weeks before launch
The only I haven't seen people talk about is Scorned Magnamalo. Also yea, at this point your best chances are just titles updates.
