How about sgc, I be afraid of psa sending back to you . I've also noticed psa slabs are different and look different the touch and size looks bigger and sometimes when looking on ebay you can't see everything. Ebay offers 12 pictures and I wished seller's could take good pictures front and back
They will head to SGC if they get rejected again. I’ve not been charged for Min. Sized/evidence of trimming before, not sure about recoloring. I also need some of these for my set registry. Another note from seller is that he assured me these came from a reputable auction house. So take that for what it’s worth. Thanks for watching!
PSA sent me back two pack pulled Bowman Chrome cards and told me they were (too small). 😂 One is now a BGS Pristine and the other, BGS 9. These went from pack, to my hand, to a toploader. Must have shrunk...😅😅😅
I never send to PSA. They only give good grades the more you submitt. Dealers get the best because the y submit alot and pull the switch on cards alot. Then the back door PSA money to get good grades. Go SGC.
Some great looking cards here! Bummer about the recolored 55 Bowmans! Hit them with a black light and you should be able to see where they were recolored. This is a good example of why I won’t pay decent money for raw vintage cards, you never know. Just got a 54 Topps Eddie Mathews back from PSA as being altered!
Clemente looks better than a 7! I think you could sell the AAron for more cracked out. I must ask assuming you know how to grade aren't you getting a lot of cheap cards graded and paying a lot to get 57s in 5 and 6 that are selling for the price of grading. I get it if you think it is 7 or 8 but it looks like PSA love you long time!
All the GM cards are NR-NM or better. Overall I’m pleased with my 57’s results. Most average 7’s, think I got one 5 so far. Regardless of grade they are all centered and that’s what I’m going for.
Overall a pretty sweet sub. I pulled a PSA 8 on that 1961 Minnie as well. Amazing to pull an 8 from the 1961 set! In a couple of my last blind reveal videos I actually pulled a few 10s from my 70s subs!! Crazy. I cant wait to see more videos from you and you gained a new subscriber.
I just got my order of 100 vintage cards back from PSA and had a 1971 Topps Don Sutton card come back recolored and it was recolored after inspection. I was charged for the card. Overall I got better grades than expected.
That Cal Hubbard card is TOUGH - took me forever to find a nice one in a 7 for my '55 Bowman HOF set (most of my cards are 8s). He was head of the umpires. He is also credited for pretty much inventing the linebacker position in football. He is in the MLB, NFL and college football HOF. Good luck on getting funds back on the '55s. Recoloring is as common on those as it is on '71.
PSA ALWAYS craps on vintage to keep the prices high ,unless You are a known VIP Buddy of the graders/Company they EX/MT NM the crap out of Mint Vintage .
Why do you think recoloring would show with a loupe? They are most likely coming to this conclusion from a UV/IR light absorption scan. If they are outside of a norm they will comeback as recolored even if they can't be shown to be that by any physical evidence. The surface of those cards isn't giving an acceptable light absorption spectrum is my guess.
Got a black light coming from Amazon this week so we’ll take a look with that. I have also reached out to the eBay seller, who was great btw and offer a full refund, this 3 months after purchase. Far as the loupe, you can definitely see recoloring with 71 Topps. This story is far from over. Thanks for watching.
Are you placing your '57 set on the PSA Registry? Over the last 1 year, Morris cards that I purchased have not met the description they provide. I am noticing they are at least a grade below PSA. I also have gotten trimmed and altered cards from them. I can't get Morris cards to respond. Are you experiencing anything like that?
Odd, I’ve never had issues with GM both from selling or buying. I do agree that their grading is usually a grade lower than stated but PSA grades so hard now it’s understandable. I’ve heard that GM uses former employees of PSA. However, I can’t confirm that. All my sets are public under the username Motin1986. Again, thanks for watching.
@@scottleatherman163most recoloring is done with 1971 Topps. The black boarders are easily touched up and an unexperienced eye will not catch this. With these 55s, I have no idea where they are recolored that’s what makes it so baffling.
Add '71 Topps to that list. The graders never seem to know what to do with any of those sets. Even SGC grading on '71s can be pretty brutally inconsistent.
Unfortunately PSA is the most inconsistent grader right now, and has been for some time. Two cards present pretty much the same, one gets a 4, the other gets a 6 or 7. This has been a complaint for more than a while now. You are a lot bolder than me to send all those Recolored rejects back to them so quickly, but I guess that is how the grading game goes these days. Good luck.
I realize that you're a registry guy, but frankly PSA has been terrible with vintage for a while now. I will never understand cracking an SGC 6 holder on a card like that Hank Aaron. At this point in my collection, I send all of my vintage subs to SGC. The grading is more accurate, more predictable, and they make far fewer mistakes than PSA. But I guess to each his own.
Its head shaking I know but I’ve been submitting for years and I’m to deep into my set registry to turn back. And I agree with you on all points. Watch some of my other videos as I resub and get the grade I think it should………most times 😉. And yes collect how you want it’s your collection. Thanks for watching.
That's exactly it! The set registry basically "traps" people into grading with PSA! I send ALL VINTAGE cards to SGC; they are the best graders of vintage hands down...
After watching and reading the comments, its funny how so many are experts looking through a small screen on a cell phone to examine the brief time you showed a few 4s from 1954 Bowman. Aside from those, it appeared to be as expected in terms of grades with a bump down on the Clemente and a bump up I believe was the 61 from a 7 to an 8. Anyway, them catching actual cards that were touched up, if those were not in the order, would viewers have a new outlook? I see comments weekly about inconsistent grades. All of it, no matter the company is just a paid opinion. And to those making any call on a card someone shows on UA-cam for 20 seconds and you are making a statement on the grade just makes you look foolish. For those saying this company or that company grades harder, well if that is true it sounds like we are focused on the wrong part of graded cards and maybe the move ia to start buying as many 6s that should be 7s and 8s as we can. Who wouldnt snag a PSA 6, snap it out and aend to SGC for that 7 and 8 grade? I feel its too easy for people to post random negative comments with little thought process. Anyway, a nice reveal, awesome cards, that is why I figured I would ask how it would have been had those 55s not been in the order to get a better idea on the overall order. No one likes getting cards returned with bad news, but you do have some really nice cards in this order.
The newer graders are not qualified to have the 'authority' to create 'wealth'. If you were to speak to some of these people you would learn that most of them are less than impressive people with less than impressive knowledge of cards
In most instances people use black marker for example, on a 71 to touch up the sides on these 55s I’ve never seen it done before. But to be honest, I can’t find anything wrong with these cards.
Stop using PSA to grade cards. Read their fine print.. they take no responsibility for their graders or graders actions. #boycottpsa Great company for authentication signed memorabilia.
Brutal on the recolored ‘55 Bowman’s. Sorry that you had to experience that! But really appreciate you putting out the video so I could learn. I recently picked up a ‘55 Bowman Gil Hodges that I’m sending off to PSA. Hope it comes back graded.
If anybody thinks that these grading companies are so called professionals they're crazy as hell. Anybody with guidelines can grade a card. It's not like the 1000s of people are doing something I can't like win the Masters
Ive seen MANY psa 10 cards that were way off center. Tells me it's a scam. I've been collecting since the 70's. Market is starting to get oversaturated again with number of products like in the 90's.
Quick update on the 55 Bowmans. Not one appears recolored. Spent about an hour looking with my loupe and found nothing. Back to PSA they go!
How about sgc, I be afraid of psa sending back to you . I've also noticed psa slabs are different and look different the touch and size looks bigger and sometimes when looking on ebay you can't see everything.

I wouldn't have attempted to grade half of those
"Somebody is going to pay"...yeah...good luck with that. LOL

I would call GM Cards about those recolored ones!! Sad and crazy bro.
How do you call GM AKA Greg Morris he's not going to come to the phone and how do you get his phone number
These were not from GM. I’ve reached out to the seller and he has offered me a full refund. However, I have a plan for these…..
Thanks for this!

I’m so sorry man, the 55 Bowman set is so damn tough, to have 13 recolored rejections is gut wrenching. As always, you have some amazing cards!
Cracking SGCs, what a joke.

Good to know, I should get an invoice here in a day or so.
Wow, that was hard to watch! I didn’t expect that, sorry man!
Same, hoping another grader sees it my way 🤞
@@vintagepsaandmore473 Do you need to pay twice? 😬
I don’t believe so, but I’ll post a follow up.
I wonder how much money psa makes off of send backs, it's a shame.

Ah, so this is who has been out bidding me on GM cards! 😆 🤣 😂
I give up most the time. I just shake my head on some of those prices.

Getting 62 Topps & 55 Bowman's graded is always risky... they are so condition sensitive.
Add '71 Topps to that list. The graders never seem to know what to do with any of those sets. Even SGC grading on '71s can be pretty brutally inconsistent.
