Blind reveal of my 50 card PSA return of vintage baseball cards. This is my first video. I will try to get better quickly. I will make an introduction video soon.
Enjoyed the inaugural video. People really enjoy watching these grading reveal videos. Well done on the nice vintage psa submission. Look forward to more videos.
Awesome first video, great results, just a banger Earl Campbell rookie, you had a great eye for quality back in the 80s, liked when your son would guess the grade from only seeing the back, tells me he's going to have a great eye for quality as well.
This was so good. Man I will be the guy scooping those surprise low grades up like that Robin Roberts on Ebay 😅😂😂. Not that your selling them but someone elses ha ha. Grading is such a crazy thing how much stock we take in there system. I really loved watching this. The 5 player HOF I was so pumped your Son loved that card one of my faves ofcourse 😂 🤙🤙
Congratulations on the great grades- you’ve taken really good care of your cards. As far as the disappointments, I feel your pain! Cool that you and your son share in the hobby!
WOW, I've never see such high grades for a vintage reveal. I only collect 1970s vintage so I enjoyed watching. Congrats on the great scoring. Have to say though I was hoping to se one of my favorite players' csrds (Brett). Thanks for sharing.
It is so hard to get 7s, 8s, and 9s on pre 1980 cards. Impressive ! You had a good eye when you picked up the cards when they were raw! Really enjoyed seeing these high quality cards. A 1963 leaders in an 8 is stunning.
Cool story about the 68 Topps Carew, I had a similar story about the 68 Topps Bob Gibson, bought out of the glass case at a card shop in 1988 , held it for 20+ years , sent it in to PSA, came back an 8!!
I'm hesitant to send cards to PSA for grading. I've seen too many UA-cam videos where guys have been shocked at some of the low grades some of their cards got.
Nice job. I’m currently waiting on a 60 card order which is very similar to yours. Actually quite a few of the same cards. Anyways, can you tell me what your turn around time was from when it arrived to them til you got the package back? I sent 2 orders in together and got one back in about a month and the other order which was similar to yours I’m still waiting on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Boy did you guys come out firing. Talk about a drool-inducing lot of cards for a first video. WOW. Congrats on some major grades and huge cards here overall. Subscribed to the channel!
"Min. size" is their polite way of saying "trimmed" ? You and PSA were pretty much in sync, so I wish you hadn't skipped quickly past the ones where PSA stated several grades lower than you expected. If you looked at them with a critical eye you probably would have detected the issue.
Wow. Either you have quite the eye for assessing raw cards, or I’m thinking maybe you accidentally lost a couple hundred dollar bills in your submission envelope lol. That is a fantastic return! How often do you submit with PSA? Just being honest, I’m sure you realize that most people don’t get anywhere near those type of grades on vintage cards.
So I have only done a few submissions. I did one back in 2013 and I have done about 5 or so in this past year. We have a 42 card PSA order that is in QA check 2 at PSA so hopefully coming next week. I’ve been collecting for 40 years and these were some of my best looking raw cards that I pulled out of my complete sets that were put together mostly in the late 80’s. I was a teenager then, but I was strict about what cards went in my sets. Thanks for watching!
Do you buy your raw cards on eBay or do you go to card shows or shops? Just curious where I should look for nice raw cards that I can send for grading eventually
So I should have done some backstory on more of these cards. Most of these cards are from complete sets that I put together as a teenager in the mid to late eighties. I was strict about the cards that went into my sets. I really don’t think you can get raw cards like this too easy anymore. I think most nice raw cards at shows are actually crack outs from high eye appeal mid grade cards. I think there is some opportunity buying complete vintage sets, but again I think most dealers cherry pick the stars and replace with crack outs. Thanks so much for watching!
So this was about $1,000 ($20 per card. Hard to advise you without more information. If you are a longtime collector and are good at assessing the grades and know the values of the cards and just haven’t ever done it - I would say just do it. If you are new to collecting and not sure about how the cards will grade I would say to keep learning - you can lose a lot of money on submission fees without increasing the value on most cards .
You’ve got some very nice cards with high grades Congrats! Just one small request - I wished you took maybe an extra 5 more seconds to show off the cards - so we could get a better look at your cards - so we can all appreciate your grades of 8 and 9’s! Thanks for sharing Donbcdn Canada 👍
I really enjoyed your video. Thank you! Not sure whether it would work, but I had an idea that I thought might be cool. How about if on the next order you and your son each independently try to guess what the grade will be for each card, and then the same way that you say what your thoughts were for the card (before the reveal), and why, your son does the same. Would be interesting to see the different perspectives of a more experienced person and a younger person, and then see the actual grades.
Wow! What a great group of cards. Congrats!
Great cards and grades. Congrats on your collection
Your collection is off the charts !!
Wow, great reveal! Thanks for sharing.
Very impressive

Enjoyed the video - keep up the great work.
Thanks 👍
One of the best vintage reveals I've seen in a long while from PSA!
Awesome first video, great results, just a banger Earl Campbell rookie, you had a great eye for quality back in the 80s, liked when your son would guess the grade from only seeing the back, tells me he's going to have a great eye for quality as well.
Thanks Troy. We have a 42 card PSA order coming next week and we will do it again. We will see their consistency. Thanks for watching!
Man just finished this holy smokes some crazy cards well done. So cool you had stories for each card.
Great cards hung with you through the whole video
Thank you!
Man, this was an incredible submission. Easily thousands of dollars in value here.
C😊

This is one of the few videos I've seen where PSA seemed to grade the cards according to expectations.
Thank you for watching our video, longtime subscriber of your great channel. all the best, Ronnie

Great video, and how long did PSA take to return your order?

How much did you spend for the submission? Any advice what to do when submitting. I have never done this before. Thanks
