I have known mick (DJ Smile) since I was 6 years old & still speak to him now. I think the fame & people took over and manipulated, used him & fed him drugs for entertainment purposes. He's had his own family traumas & drug & mental health issues but he is doing OK enjoying life xx

DJ smile used to chill in green head all time we used to feed him cigs weed alcoholic etc and watch him go. We all felt abit bad for him once cos he was getting bullied by some kids so we stuck up for him 😂😂

Mate phyco drive is by far my fav video but I can’t find it. Dj smile made it over to Australia. We still put him on the speaker at work almost daily. But phyco drive isn’t on UA-cam anymore.

Dj Smile AKA Michael Bamforth has moved out of the country. Last I knew he was backpacking in South America with his boyfriend Alan Smith. I think he just had enough and after stopping smoking the drugs woke up from his comatose state and realized he was been taken the piss out of. He just had to get away from the shame.

dude this is very well put together but your attitude towards him is a bit naive lol. he was pressured/bullied into attempting to rap outside the job centre for the amusement of the guy(s) filming. when the video gained traction he made a few appearances at camel club but he is not a fricking rapper or dj lmao. I live in huddersfield and have met him several times, I think he is a nice guy, but he is essentially a crackhead from what I can tell. I have actually not seen him for a few years. I hope he's okay. i think the period of approximately 2016-18 I used to see him in an area of huddersfield called newsome, as well as around town, and he was pretty much always off his face and talking about being in trouble with drug dealers and spouting a load of amusing shit such as being a prodigy, I did actually once see him in town and had a quick chat, and upon leaving he said something that I believe to be pretty beautiful and arguably poetic: "we're all brothers and sisters, just from different fannys". Anyways, just wanted to make the point that despite this video being very well put together, when you are saying things like 'i wonder why he stopped being active on social media when his dreams were coming true' or that you suggested you believed he was actually going to ibiza, he is/was just a crackhead riding the wave of going viral on the internet and chatting shit here and there lol. somebody who clearly knows him or runs into him often has an account on insta called dj_smile_official_page that was posting a lot of funny videos of him whilst he was off his head, such as vaccuum cleaning a main fucking road lmao. but that account has had no posts for a year
