    compare minne motor with another electric paramotor on market.
    we have 4 things you should know:
    1. cost,
    minne motor is less than half price of major brand.
    2. power,
    minne motor has 18 horse power.
    3. design,
    minne motor is the most efficient paramotor on market.
    4. usage,
    minne motor with transform frame will become air-boat, go-cart, snowmobile...

    Wow, very impressive design. I love the way the motor is back and therefore much safer and the fact that the batteries are relatively inexpensive and contribute to perfect weight and balance. I’ll be in touch once I get my funds together. Electric paramotors are the future.

    I love seeing that electric now a option and that the prices are getting lower. 5-8k hasn't been feasible for me. When I was 18 I made paramotoring a personal goal. Now, ten years later and I'm still dreaming. I've dedicated my time and financial opportunity towards fighting illness with my parents. Flying RC has been a way for me to fly but without hurting finances. Since I've been getting older I've been looking back into the sport and I've noticed the electrics, including yours which gets helps make my dream closer. Keep up the innovation and hard work! People like you make it possible for people like me to dream of the sky!

    Innovative and interesting product. Battery motors can't quite be compared to gas motors [yet], but the tech advances of batteries are booming and rapidly catching up. Keep making improvements and new generations! Nice work

      Will never "catch up"....think about it...batteries get better by 10-15 % every few years...but...they need to improve 200-300% just to be half the flight time of gas..

      The funny thing is - people who have been flying a long time, have found it to be extremely odd, because with zero torque twist, there is also no torque 'steering' just shifting your body weight, etc. - no lazy-leggin' :)

    Me and my 2 brothers are RC hobbyist and love electric power. This looks very interested. We wonder:
    What is the thrust of the motor and what is the power consumed at that thrust?
    What is the size of the propeller?
    Thanks A lot
    Waiting for you reply!

    • @TNTfarm

      On a multiple motor set up if one side fails at takeoff during max thrust it would lead to an immediate riser twist. Depending on how many times you twist brake input can appied but line friction will hold that input. Uncontrollable flight low to the ground... been there done that...no thanks.

    • @darkshadowsx5949
      @darkshadowsx5949 5 років тому +2

      LOL "SAFTY" a prop strike is going to hurt your flesh no matter how many props. it hits.. what if some reason your props are spinning and you stick your hand near it and hits one prop and bounces into another prop? that sounds so much safer.... you just entered the blender zone...
      plus since its electric it doesn't need to spin when you dont need thrust. no start and strap in like some do. that's just unsafe.
      more motors just gives you more failure points and more unknown problems that can occur.

  • @barajona2
    @barajona2 6 років тому

    Thanks for showing different battery options. If the power tools batteries like 80V Kobalt running a brushless 50kv motor, this would rev prop speed to 4000 rpm? Assuming your prop is 40 + inches and under load, full power prop speed may be around 3400 rpm, so what amps draw do you get on that battery?

    • @JerryMinne
      @JerryMinne  6 років тому

      There's circuit beakers to regulate current. check on my website www.Minne.us

    • @barajona2
      @barajona2 6 років тому

      Jerry, yes I get the circuit breaker to regulate current just like a fuse if current exceeds certain amps draw.
      My concern is the 80 volt Kolbalt battery does not state any "max amps" like lipo battery. I assume you have tested amps draw at full throttle, if so what is max amps you allow on these batteries?

    Is it possible for you to design and sell an electric paramotor that can double as a wind turbine to recharge the battery? Such a system may be useful while camping and the paramotor is on the ground in a windy spot or while the pilot doesn’t need power and is ridge soaring or needs to descend.

    • @JerryMinne
      @JerryMinne  4 роки тому

      Portable wind turbine, only charge cellphone or laptop. Use common generator to change batteries on trip, probably is the easiest way.

      Well, I can buy a bridge rectifier and MPPT charge controller and a 90 volt to 220 AC inverter from Taobao and eBay for only a total of less than $100. Couldn’t these components turn your 3 phase brushless motor into a 220 volt AC source?

    Your complaints about the multi motor set up are not accurate. Multi motors have the added benefit of being redundant. Also, there is very little to worry about balance of output. Being hung from parasail negates nearly any concerns or effects that would necessitate a complex balancing controller.

    • @JerryMinne
      @JerryMinne  6 років тому +9

      Thanks for your comment. Everybody see things differently. I thought it complicated, you saw it's redundant. That's the beauty of the human mind.

    • @OlivierSuire
      @OlivierSuire 6 років тому +10

      Redundency is not very important with a paraglider, since it doesn't really NEED a motor to fly.
      The multirotor setup is loud as hell, which defeats the purpose of flying electric.

    • @TNTfarm
      @TNTfarm 6 років тому +4

      My concern would be if the motors are not inline with the pilot like the quad drone set up, a motor failure at takeoff would result in a sudden riser twist. Any chance of offset thrust on a paramotor would be scary... K.I.S.S.

    the large open spots in the netting make that frame a bad choice safety wise... your cables or limbs can easily pass through it. There is one video that goes on saying that its the worse design flaw in a PPG frame market.

    • @wingnutzster
      @wingnutzster 6 років тому +1

      Absolutely - Black & Decker withdrew a line of portable drills, Samsung withdrew a line and are still facing lawsuits - it is a well know problem with modern batteries, all aircraft and car manufacturers currently working on electric power implement a fire safe system for their batteries which vary in type it is irresponsible to declare any type of battery as fire safe especially in a manned flight application, battery fire is real and a very possible danger. ...as funny as that may be to you.

    • @TNTfarm

      @@wingnutzster lithium iron phosphate are in the 80v battery. Samsung phones are using lithium polymer which have more energy density but an increased fire hazard potential. Electric paramotors don't have a market like outdoor power tools. Good luck even filing a lawsuit...

    Why doesn't someone put a 30cc petrol motor in these driving a generator to keep the batteries topped up as you fly ?
    Or run a generator off the back of the electric motor ?

    • @JerryMinne

      One big reason to use electric paramotor is efficiency. Gasoline engine only transfer 60% energy, there are a lot of waste on chemicals and heat. Electric motor can get 90% efficiency. And you just try to reverse it.

      Simple answer: too complicated, too heavy, too many things to go wrong.
      Keep it simple!
      You'd be better off lightening the load enough to carry an extra battery, rather than fuel and all that stuff.
