This is a misconception, the twins had already been doing this sorta things since Osamu was the only spiker Atsumu could've done it with easily since he has better connections with him (brotherly resonance)
@@lycan6552 no, I think it’s actually mentioned they copied it on the spot BECAUSE osamu is the only spiker atsumu has that connection with at that point.
@@dididyo2253 Hmm could be. But the most logical thing I could think of is that they only copied the idea of doing it in the match instead of the quick attack itself. I do believe that they have tried this once before since the twins are essentially the counterparts of the weird duo. Though this could be debunked if we consider Osamu's reaction
I love Miya Atsumu's prolific skill. He understood Kageyama and Hinata's quick straightaway. He's able to communicate to his brother the means to pull off the quick, and Atsumu's point by point analysis of his set to his brother is exactly the way Kageyama did it in season 1. The man is a monster and I am here for it.
Which is the start of Hinata’s growth even more. Someone else can do the same quick. Could they do that to him? Is he stuck being only good with Kageyama? Or can he flourish still?
The best part about this match, Inarizaki might be the most similar team to Karasuno -National level setter -Dependable libero -Calculative MB -more Both are very offensive oriented team and even experimenting in the middle of the match. Yet, they're better in almost every aspect. It's like Karasuno forced to beat a better version of themselves
I like to think of Inarizaki as a team that has INCREDIBLY strong individual players but their main "disadvantage" is that they're too individual and overextend their own play. It's part of the reason why Kita is such a good captain and is so devastating, he reels them all back in and makes them play more cohesively. Compared to Karasuno, their individual players may not be as crazy talented as Inarizaki's (save for Kageyama) but they're incredibly specialized and good at the specific things that they do, and then together their strategy ends up working very cohesively into a super offensive focused team.
"this position, this timing, this angle..." are Kageyama's lines when he set the last point against aoba johsai (and lose) meaning not only they now can do a minus tempo attack, he also stole Kageyama's lines (truly epic tho)

I can’t believe we went from Carlie accidentally putting atsumu on the haikyuu patreon banner in season one, to you both actually reacting to him play!
If Atsumu tried to switch up his serve after observing the opponents prepare for him, he'd probably mess it up. Don't underestimate the importance of those little routines all the big servers do, like Kageyama spinning the ball in his hands.
Atsumu is surely one of a kind. The way he’s able to immediately understood the weirdo quick is amazing. The guy you guys were talking about the black hair guy is named Suna Rintaro, don’t underestimate him because lord is he flexible.
I think Atsumu's float serve has better control than Yamaguchi's; that's why they are confident about it. It is hard to receive if you target it properly. Just imagine the ball going straight at your face. You cannot do an overhand because it's lower, and you cannot do an underhand receive because you need to step back to properly receive the ball. That was my thought about Miya Atsumu's float serve. :)
Basically, learning Astumu's steps is just the starting line. Even if you know which one is coming you still have to receive his insane serves. He is the top server in high school for a reason. 😮💨
love the new cover 🔥🔥🔥 also i love all the special move names from the Miya twins. Noya is the only other one that gave his Rolling Thunder an epic name 😅
I love how dead serious you both were when discussing waifu Saeko and the bro code, especially Carllie. Your poker faces actually had me dying from laughter😁
As much as I like Oikawa. Even he isn't on the level that Atsumu is in terms of setter skills. To be able to see the freak quick and copy it in one attempt is simply amazing.
Atsumu is the national team setter for a reason. It is stated that he's the best in the country. He was voted the best server in the country and that was even before he added the Jump Floater to his arsenal. There is no question that he's better than Oikawa (at this stage).
@@sirperybLakeney Well, Oikawa doesn't qualify as that's for first and second years only. Oikawa also never got recognition because their team could never beat Shiratorizawa and go to nationals.
@@Khay-77 The national coaches knew about Kageyama when he was at Middle School. They know all about Oikawa (who is a star player who gets focus on TV stations in his native prefecture!). It is stated that Atsumu is the best high school setter -not just that he attended the workshop for 1st and 2nd years. Later in the series it's shown that Itachiyama's setter (and captain) was previously the national team setter but lost his place to Miya. Leave the Oikawa fanboyism aside please. At this stage he is not a match for Miya Atsumu. Oikawa still needs to let his talent bloom!
yepp. I love Oikawa, but Tsumu is like the maxed out version of him as a setter skill-wise here. Both of them can bring out 100% - 120% of the team, yes, but to be able to set the freak quick at first try? he's a monster in a different league at this point. Even Kageyama had to practice days and nights during the Tokyo practice match, and even had a lot of trials & errors then. Not to mention Tsumu had a monster of his own, Samu, to pull it off right after he set it. It _might_ be possible for Oikawa to do the freak quick if he had a monster spiker like Hinata & Samu (whose both have forte in speed too), but he would need to practice the set himself 100x harder than Kags & Tsumu for sure. _That,_ or it's simply impossble for him to do that because he doesn't have the speed like Kags & Tsumu. I remember Akaashi said to Bokuto when he asked if they can pull it off too (practice match S2), but Akaashi refuted it & said it's impossible to do a minus tempo quick without much practice
"this position .. this timing .. this angle" that moment and the fact Kageyama said the same thing against aoba johsai in season 1, gave me chills!! Angelo will be roaring the whole match I can see it 🤣🤣🤣
The gauntlet is thrown...and...the dance begins! This team, Inarizaki isn't an established giant yet. It's an upcoming titan, a team that will become a great in the future, a team that will be...the ultimate challenge. As a man on the internet said, " Inarizaki is like one of the previous teams we've seen, Johzenji. But, Johzenji was complete chaos and didn't have the skills to back it up whereas Inarizaki gives the vibe of controlled chaos. They take calculated risks and have the skills to back them up. To me, controlled chaos is even more scary than utter chaos " The match is gonna be absolutely mental. I would like it if you can read the banner of Inarizaki. It will help you understand the match better, going forward. Keep the videos coming, we love it!!!❣️
Remembering my Highschool volleyball tournaments when our crowds would be like a dozen people made of parents and girlfriends on both teams, even in state finals or at the national tournament you would get less than 50 including both sides.
miya atsumu is the best setter in the entire nationals for 2 consecutive years he is in all terms better than kageyama what took kageyama a while to figure out on the ball where it reaches the spiker and falls down set atsumu saw once and replicated it even better than kags ever has...i am baised towards karasuno in all aspects but the amount of difference in power this guy has over all the others in those show is insane that i am forced to accept the reality
Yes, the falling ball set takes a while to figure out, because it IS the 2nd version of the freak quick. But no, my friend, Atsumu copies the 1st version. One that requires minus tempo, directly targeted at Osamu's hand, and will continue to shoot away in its trajectory if the spike fails in any way-not the one that just falls. It's the quick Kageyama & Hinata used in season 1 (with Hinata's eyes closed). Kageyama didn't struggle with it either 🤷♀️ and Atsumu replicated it _just exactly_ the way it was, not _"even better than kags ever has"_ .
if u read the manga then u would understand that it was faster than kageyama and hinatas version and for alll we know it is the falling down minus quick cause they never mentioned that it is not or is and they said it perfectly looked like the kageyama and hinata quick if not even better and faster i know haikyu front back and upside down but my friend im sorry to say your wrong@@famishedmonster
The jump float serves looks like it's really aimed at Noya and whenever Noya can't pick it up, it adds pressure to the whole team and morale of Noya. Not a good thing when that happens.
