Hi, from my understanding the W6 is supposed to be used on the wheels and paintwork. But I heard others also use it on windscreen and windows. It is necessary to use it on them aswell?
Would these products be suitable for uncoated or protected cars? I heard a lot of great things with these products. Great piece of info as well coming from a chemist who knows how chemical works.
Are both of these safe on the new Land Rover Defender’s wheels? Not sure if the brake discs are ceramic as discussed. I do have the Gtechniq ceramic coating on the wheels and barrels.
If you have carbon ceramic brakes then we only advise using the W5 Citrus All Purpose Cleaner. If they are standard brakes then you can use the W6 Iron Fallout Remover.
@@GtechniqUK Cool. I am a beginner and currently, the process of DIY car washing is as follows, 1: Wet the tires and wheels with a water gun, then clean the tires with W5 and the wheels with W6; 2: Wet the vehicle body with a water gun, spray the vehicle with a foam monitor+W4 citrus car wash solution, and then rinse it with water; 3: After washing the car for the second time using two buckets of water and W1 car wash solution, rinse thoroughly; 4: Spray mixed ceramic spray to protect the vehicle and wipe the vehicle clean 5: End Is there a problem with my process? Are there any other better product recommendations?
I love these detailed videos, where you involve your Formulation Chemist 👍
We're glad to hear you love these as much as we do!
Recently used both products on a used transit custom with 63,000 miles on the clock ..
The van turned out amazing .
Well done gtechniq.
GTECHNIQ products are amazing. By far the best Ceramic Coatings on the market.

This product can also be applied to glass and windows if they are contaminated, which is entirely possible.

Yes, both of these products work on coated and uncoated paintwork.
@@GtechniqUKthank you.
When should I use the W6 after the pre wash and two bucket wash or before pre wash when vehicle is dry?
We normally advise snow foaming first, then using the W6 followed by the two bucket wash,

Can you apply the W6 iron/fallout remover on a car that is wet? Or does it have to go onto a dry car?
You can do either, but we normally apply this to a dry surface -- unless we are snow foaming then it is applied to a wet surface.
Can you use the iron fallout on matt paint work?
Yes, you can use Iron & Fallout Remover on matt paint.
So, can I use W5 to clean the tires and W6 to clean the wheels?
Yes, that is the correct process.

@@turbo1-z5j The only change we would advise is not wetting the vehicle before foaming. Other than that, the above seems like a solid process.
@@GtechniqUK Understood, I should use the W4+ foam cannon directly without wetting the car body in advance. thank you guys
Is dilution of W5 no longer a thing?
Hey Andrew, use W5 neat for the hardest to shift grime and up to 10:1 (10 parts water, to 1 part product) for less soiled areas. I hope this helps!
