I've played DW daggers and 2H mace for 7k hours (since the day the game released). Someone encouraged me to use a bow while I was in the lower vet levels, I hated it. Really not into dummy humping but it's great to see players dropping the bow and getting up close again. This type of build keeps you on your toes, I highly recommend it (especially to bow and shock heavy attack players). Cheers.
my first toon was a StamBlade so many people knock it but I've been hitting 115k consistently and i don't get why people trash it so much cause they cant get the rotation down

I've ditched Templar being my main class after all the mess that was Update 35 & 36 (in my opinion anyways), so now I'm playing as a Stamina Nightblade instead. Yeah I know what you mean. People get too hung up on 'this or that class' sometimes. Finding and following the meta is obviously crucial for the top tier, but for 99.9% of players it rarely matters what class we play, so long as we do it well. Keep on Blading! 🗡

Great video! Is Khajiit viable instead of orc? Would love one of these for the necro or any class really I made one dd of every class and am a beginner. Loving the content
All races are viable - the differences between them are small. Dunmer is marginally the strongest for Stamina DPS. Altmer for Magicka. Khajiit is close behind, even better in some situations. It’s just that the Khajiit’s extra 10% critical damage can take you over the 125% cap and be effectively wasted. But that’s only gonna happen in organised trials where you’re being supplied with all the necessary buffs and debuffs. Hope that makes sense. Short version: yes Khajiit is viable!

Briarheart is a nice set if you want/need the healing, but a lot of people don't realise it's mathematically identical to Hunding's Rage in terms of damage. Hunding's Rage is craftable, so anyone could make it for you. If you already have Briarheart, then sure, but if not then I'd save yourself some gold and time and use Hundings. Purple quality will be fine. If by 'HRC Heavy set' you mean Berserking Warrior (aka Advancing Yokeda) then YES it's an awesome set. Just keep up the Light Attacks when using it and it should work great. You can also check out www.ninja-pulls.com/dps/nightblade#gear for some more ideas (though many of them are trial sets - sorry!). Hope that helps!

Yes, Orc should only be 2% behind or something like that. Just be aware that a couple of things have changed in the new patch, so it won't work quite the same. New rotation is in the works!

It I was ever to guide, it would be this one. I took some inspiration and made a hybrid stamblade dw/bow build, it's probably suboptimal at best, but it's fun
Really nice video.. i swapped from stamblade to magblade a while ago, when i was told concealed weapon gives 10% dmg boost over surprise attack, which i used as spammable before. I also tried out silver shards but going with concealed weapon and the magblade felt mor natural. But I will definitly try out this build.. maybe i'll go back to stam because I like it way better for Trash Fights. But I have one question, since you are the first nightblade I've seen who actually does his bow prog after the '4 and..'. I've been told from some other Nightblade mains that it doesn't really make a difference and I'm just fine going with 5 spammables in between (and thats what everyone would be doing), but I'm curious: How much dps can you actually squeeze out of that?
It doesn't make a huge difference if you hold the bow proc until after the 5th ability. But obviously it does affect the length of the rotation, so it's tough to give you an exact figure in isolation. In theory I'd say it's less than 5k DPS difference. Hope that helps.

Both will work. I'd use 2H by default, but if you could use extra survivability (or have another source of Major Berserk) then go with DW, which lets you use Blade Cloak. Feel free to join our Discord and get some more tips!
There is no "hidden kink" to it. It is just a matter of practise. Kaan's weaving is from a different planet and is really hard to keep up with 😊. Then for the last bit of damage there is always critluck included as soon as you had all your practis you might get 2k more then Kaan and the next time you get 2k less because the crits where bad.
There are many things it could be - some of them easily missed like food, potions, Mundus, traits, CPs and so on. Even with all that, the build itself is no guarantee. You still need a rotation which is as close to perfect as you can get it, with fast weaving, minimal downtime on DOTs and optimising burst phases and execute. Without seeing a CMX report I couldn’t say exactly what you’re missing, but it’s most likely one of the above. And as sinofmen said, practice. Hope that helps. 👍
Why „see“? You can easy play it, skills you use are always Same, instead of twohanded dots use instable Walls and degeneration, There you have it but its dps loss always

You can just stick with this rotation from last patch: bit.ly/3lX4viP. You'll only miss about 2% damage, especially if you slot Debilitate instead of Caltrops for single target fights (sustain is trickier and the rotation slightly more dynamic, but it hits a little harder). I'm guessing you're on NA, but if you're on the EU server, come join the guild and we'll farm it with you! 😆
Whats the reasoning having concealed weapon slotted? i heard u say u can use it in a pinch to bar swap when necessary. Besides minor expedition and passives is there a reason or would another dot be more useful?
Concealed Weapon interacts with Twisting Path to give us 10% more Damage Done. Check the tooltip in-game for the specifics - probably make more sense than me trying to explain! 😆 Hope that helps.
the way you had the skills scrolling across the screen, is that editing, or an addon? I struggle with LA weaving, Im not sure why, I have tried a couple add-ons but I can't seem to get the rotation down. I love the Night Blade too, but I feel I do it injustice. Any help would be appreciated!!

Glad you enjoyed it! Try the trash setup from the mini-guide in the description. It's pretty dependent on tight stacks, debuffs, other DDs having good damage etc. But it's worked brilliantly for me - should be a Kyne's Aegis video coming soon which shows it in action.
Yeah Magicka Dragonknight has been on top for over a year (except for one patch where stamsorc took over, then got the nerf hammer). They’re actually not THAT far ahead, but when people see the top groups stacking Dragonknights they obviously wanna copy them. Any sensible raid lead will still let you bring whatever you want, within reason!
I tend to skip Riptide in my guides because I get way too many complaints that it doesn't work for people. Relequen is kinda foolproof! But Riptide IS very strong, and I do use it in content sometimes. If I have time to test I will get back to you - I expect the DPS will be quite similar. If you try it, let me know!
Pretty sure that's the Ascendant Lord Greatsword (quest reward from High Isle story) and the red glow is just Relentless Focus. Nothing special - I agree it looks cool though!
Not sure what you're asking. Nightblade wouldn't be my first choice to run any of these sets. DDs sometimes use War Machine/Master Architect or even RoJo if the group decides to run with only 2-3 supports.

Nightblade in general is looked down on in ps5 na because we are seen as squishy and a risk to have in a group. But in my opinion we are the strongest in pvp if we are built correctly
Yeah many players don't realise how good it is. They get preoccupied with the idea that ONE class is meta and everything else is trash weak. But that's never true - ZOS are smarter than that. Here's hoping you get the chance to play it a bit more before the Arcanist arrives!
Hey there! Not 100% sure which part of the video you’re referring to, but I guess it’s when I mention DW passives during the dummy hump. I’m pointing out that 2H is ONLY worth using because of Wrecking Blow. Without it, we’d definitely want DW for the passives. Watch it again if it’s still unclear. Hope that helps!
@@NinjaPulls I think I'm beginning to understand what you meant. Does the phrase, "while duel wielding" when you list some of the dw passives around the 6min 30 sec mark, mean just having them equipped for your back bar mean you benefit from the passives?
@@kylebuff6860 I'm just stressing the importance of keeping up Major Berserk (i.e. using Wrecking Blow every few seconds) because we lose a lot of damage swapping the traditional DW front bar for a 2H front bar. 2H passives just aren't very strong - it's ONLY the Major Berserk that makes the switch worthwhile. That's why I show the DW passives that we're MISSING to really drive home the point. Hope that clarifies things.
Range is very rarely needed. You can equip bow/inferno if you want, but outside of Asylum +2 I cannot think of any fight where ranged damage is required. But it's easy to adapt the rotation - I already gave someone else a bow/bow version that hits 122k.

I’m running your exact set move set up here. hitting like maybe 50k dps on a trial dummy. I’m on console. I’m pretty sure it has to do with mismanaging dots, but damn I can’t get anywhere near 100k dps. is it really just a practice makes perfect thing? appreciate the content man

Most likely it's the food. Use Max Stamina food (any top-level Vegetable recipe) like it says near the start. Also, Perfected Relequen adds a line of Stamina. Hope that helps.
Yeah it still works, but you now need to actually cast Concealed Weapon every 10s to get the buff (nobody likes this change). But in a few days we'll have another patch and there are definitely some changes I'm making, so keep an eye on the Community posts on this channel.
Just regular Weapon Damage Glyphs. They hybridised those enchantments this patch to grant both Weapon AND Spell Damage, with a very small bonus to Stamina/Magicka Recovery, depending on which one you choose. I went with Weapon Damage since Magicka sustain is never an issue. 👍
Alright @@KillRealKill your question intrigued me, so I tested it out and got almost 122k with a pretty simple rotation, similar to the one in the video. Use Master's Bow on the back, Pillar of Nirn on the front and use the same 20s rotation, but with Lethal Arrow instead of Wrecking Blow. I recast Path and Endless Hail dynamically from the back bar, and moved Trap to the front bar. Worked really well. I can post a screenshot of the CMX here if you like, otherwise feel free to join the guild Discord (linked in description) and we can chat about it there. Happy Nightblading!

Fair enough, but ESO is well worth learning to play. One of the most interesting combat systems in any game I’ve played, though it most certainly has it flaws. I definitely recommend giving it a go. It’s actually very easy.

I play the weapon dmg enchant on the 2 hand weapon and poison and fire on the daggers. But same trades. Does that make a big diffrence or not?
Good question. No, it makes no difference. The Nirnhoned trait likes to be in the Main Hand, but enchantments don't care 😎.

Thanks! Pretty sure that's the Ascendant Greatsword or the Ascendant LORD Greatsword. One is a motif and the other is a collectible from the High Isle quest. BTW I have 2 newer Nightblade videos in the channel if you're interested.

You can just stick with this rotation from last patch: bit.ly/3lX4viP. You'll only miss about 2% damage, especially if you slot Debilitate instead of Caltrops for single target fights (sustain is trickier and the rotation slightly more dynamic, but it hits a little harder).

Whats the reasoning having concealed weapon slotted? i heard u say u can use it in a pinch to bar swap when necessary. Besides minor expedition and passives is there a reason or would another dot be more useful?
Concealed Weapon interacts with Twisting Path to give us 10% more Damage Done. Check the tooltip in-game for the specifics - probably make more sense than me trying to explain! 😆 Hope that helps.

the way you had the skills scrolling across the screen, is that editing, or an addon? I struggle with LA weaving, Im not sure why, I have tried a couple add-ons but I can't seem to get the rotation down. I love the Night Blade too, but I feel I do it injustice. Any help would be appreciated!!

Glad you enjoyed it! Try the trash setup from the mini-guide in the description. It's pretty dependent on tight stacks, debuffs, other DDs having good damage etc. But it's worked brilliantly for me - should be a Kyne's Aegis video coming soon which shows it in action.

Yeah Magicka Dragonknight has been on top for over a year (except for one patch where stamsorc took over, then got the nerf hammer). They’re actually not THAT far ahead, but when people see the top groups stacking Dragonknights they obviously wanna copy them. Any sensible raid lead will still let you bring whatever you want, within reason!
Oh yeah, and welcome back to ESO! My stamblade is Dunmer. The Khajiit I show at the beginning is technically my magblade.
Have you tested this build with perfected coral riptide on the body and perfected relequen on the jewelry and weapons?
I tend to skip Riptide in my guides because I get way too many complaints that it doesn't work for people. Relequen is kinda foolproof! But Riptide IS very strong, and I do use it in content sometimes. If I have time to test I will get back to you - I expect the DPS will be quite similar. If you try it, let me know!
What is the second great sword your character is using? The one with the red glow.
Pretty sure that's the Ascendant Lord Greatsword (quest reward from High Isle story) and the red glow is just Relentless Focus. Nothing special - I agree it looks cool though!

Not sure what you're asking. Nightblade wouldn't be my first choice to run any of these sets. DDs sometimes use War Machine/Master Architect or even RoJo if the group decides to run with only 2-3 supports.

Nightblade in general is looked down on in ps5 na because we are seen as squishy and a risk to have in a group. But in my opinion we are the strongest in pvp if we are built correctly
Yeah many players don't realise how good it is. They get preoccupied with the idea that ONE class is meta and everything else is trash weak. But that's never true - ZOS are smarter than that. Here's hoping you get the chance to play it a bit more before the Arcanist arrives!

Hey there! Not 100% sure which part of the video you’re referring to, but I guess it’s when I mention DW passives during the dummy hump. I’m pointing out that 2H is ONLY worth using because of Wrecking Blow. Without it, we’d definitely want DW for the passives. Watch it again if it’s still unclear. Hope that helps!
@@NinjaPulls I think I'm beginning to understand what you meant. Does the phrase, "while duel wielding" when you list some of the dw passives around the 6min 30 sec mark, mean just having them equipped for your back bar mean you benefit from the passives?
@@kylebuff6860 I'm just stressing the importance of keeping up Major Berserk (i.e. using Wrecking Blow every few seconds) because we lose a lot of damage swapping the traditional DW front bar for a 2H front bar. 2H passives just aren't very strong - it's ONLY the Major Berserk that makes the switch worthwhile. That's why I show the DW passives that we're MISSING to really drive home the point. Hope that clarifies things.

what about ranges targets? aoe keeping you from fighting up close?
Range is very rarely needed. You can equip bow/inferno if you want, but outside of Asylum +2 I cannot think of any fight where ranged damage is required. But it's easy to adapt the rotation - I already gave someone else a bow/bow version that hits 122k.

I’m running your exact set move set up here. hitting like maybe 50k dps on a trial dummy. I’m on console. I’m pretty sure it has to do with mismanaging dots, but damn I can’t get anywhere near 100k dps. is it really just a practice makes perfect thing? appreciate the content man

Most likely it's the food. Use Max Stamina food (any top-level Vegetable recipe) like it says near the start. Also, Perfected Relequen adds a line of Stamina. Hope that helps.
This set up still working pretty well?
Yeah it still works, but you now need to actually cast Concealed Weapon every 10s to get the buff (nobody likes this change). But in a few days we'll have another patch and there are definitely some changes I'm making, so keep an eye on the Community posts on this channel.
What is the multi effect jewelry?
Just regular Weapon Damage Glyphs. They hybridised those enchantments this patch to grant both Weapon AND Spell Damage, with a very small bonus to Stamina/Magicka Recovery, depending on which one you choose. I went with Weapon Damage since Magicka sustain is never an issue. 👍

Alright @@KillRealKill your question intrigued me, so I tested it out and got almost 122k with a pretty simple rotation, similar to the one in the video. Use Master's Bow on the back, Pillar of Nirn on the front and use the same 20s rotation, but with Lethal Arrow instead of Wrecking Blow. I recast Path and Endless Hail dynamically from the back bar, and moved Trap to the front bar. Worked really well. I can post a screenshot of the CMX here if you like, otherwise feel free to join the guild Discord (linked in description) and we can chat about it there. Happy Nightblading!

Fair enough, but ESO is well worth learning to play. One of the most interesting combat systems in any game I’ve played, though it most certainly has it flaws. I definitely recommend giving it a go. It’s actually very easy.
