I don't know if it's fact, but I could never properly get into ESO. Ended up finding it incredibly boring because of the combat. To me, the combat for the whole time played is just spam 1 or 2 specific attacks, and these skills will be your skills for the rest of the game. Had to use other skills JUST to make combat feel varied, even though it made me weaker. Sooooooooo boring. Everything else is great tho

I dont like playing with pets because they are always near me it looks strange in cities and I like to feel like a powerful mage and not hide behind summons. And also they take 4 slots in which I can place dots, heals, buffs, etc.

Thanks a lot for the information, especially a vibe check and color/theme for how the classes feel! That's going to be a primary draw for when/if I ever get around to installing this game. I think I'm drawn to the Templar or Warden from the sounds of things, with maybe Sorcerer as a distant third in case I stumble upon any ancestry combination restrictions.

Something that's always bothered me is that the meta is not only defined by what armor you wear but also your very playstyle and rotation. That's something I've always despised of ESO. Thankfully I don't do endgame content so it won't ever really end up being a huge problem for me.

I live and breath rogue/assassin classes in every game 😂 in ESO I just wish nightblades would be even more of a shadowy assassin likes 🤷🏻‍♂️ in practice I mean e.g. if teleport strike would be BiS for pve etc that would be cool! 🤩

Sounds like a promising premise, but you know what else sounded like a promising premise? Pretty much all of ESO... Strong premise with weak execution seems to be their motto, not "play how you want." Sorry for coming off as a downer, recently got exposed to another shitty aspect of ESO I wasn't aware of. (for a game with tons of microtransactions, lootboxes and so much monetization it's weird that you still need PS+ to play it. Usually free-to-plays don't require it. ZOS should've gone free-to-play ages ago, surely the game has earned enough to cover it's costs by now?)

Oh my you ment too light attack just before skill not after, maybe that will help me break 70k. 100k+ 1 day. But i think being aussie and on 300ping + constantly wont help, or does high ping not matter too much i just need to get better rotation?

I'm pretty sure you can fill an empty soul gem by killing a humanoid, it doesn't need to be a black soul gem. There aren't even any usable black soul gems in ESO, none that I am aware of.

So, they adress how their old schedule prevented them from adressing feedback in a timely manner, because they plan out chapters 1-2 years before they release. And They say they want to shift away from 1 big update, that can be hit or miss towards several content drops that gives them the abilitiy to adress feedback more frequently. They introduce new world events, making old zone important again They adress performance issues and bugs and invest large amounts of work (and therefor money) into fixing it they implement QoL features and rework old zones for new players They give us new sets and dungeons And people got "maintenance" mode out of that? I swear people just want to hate.

umm, you say it skews toward single-target damage? I am having MAJOR issues with single target damage. I can take on 50 trash mobs at once solo no problem, but when it comes to a single boss, I am screwed. I need to reconfigure something.

Everything researched says Bond with nature does NOT trigger Maturation. You have to actually cast a heal of some sort.

I love to use the whip on a Stam DK, but I really struggle to keep mag sustain up talons and cinder storm. Is there another skill you would recommend I swap talons out for?

The problem with the ESO classes is that they all basically seem the same, as in every Warden has the same pet for example. This is a huge missed opportunity. I remember when WOW was new and I had to go into the wilds to get a pet, and choosing what animal to get felt like an important choice. Now because it's WOW there's usually always a right answer (In my opinion) so that negates the wonder a bit, but for a game where the stats and choices don't really matter like ESO it would be such an amazing addition to have you be able to pick exactly what animal you would like to have as a Warden companion. Same with Sorcerer, give us a series of Daedra and have us choose one or two to summon, so we could experiment and have fun with that. There's not enough variety within the classes.

not to correct you but because of the Warp in the West, Mannimarco both did and didn't become the Revenant, the Necromancer's Moon basically the Champion of Daggerfall regardless of what choice they made, the Totum of Tiber Septim would be devided up among the crown of highrock, the Orcs of Orcinium and the empire and the Dragonbreak was sealed by the Jills who repaired the Dragonbreak. despite after this happened Mannimarco came out as a mortal there is another Mannimarco who is a god since gods like aedra and daedra cannot be fully erased from existence so in a way he will always persist

Looking at your setup on your website for Stamden, you don't have gear recommendations for people without trial sets. What could I use instead of Relequen if I don't have that set? Order's Wrath? Would really like to see recommendations for people without trials gear.

Warden is definitely the PvP meta no other class comes close every death recap is northern storm, shalks, chilling contingency, and whirling blades. Ice ice baby.

Always appreciate your guides, especially this one as a MagDen main. I've been running Clench morph with Master's Lightning following the Piercing Cold passive rework, increasing our Chill proc dmg, giving us Turbo Shalks (when paired with MA 2H) and additional splash on our spammable. This overall gives us more cleave on what is otherwise a 130k ST setup. With ZoS would revert the heal inconsistency on Arctic Blash though...
