    UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE
If you watched the video, you noticed I had some concern with the weak signal between the camera and the monitor. That has been resolved.
I installed the Wireless Extension Antenna for the Haloview Camera and now I'm getting a constant four or five bars of signal strength. We just did a 350 mile travel day and we never lost a signal and did not have any freeze-ups. I would highly suggest the extension antenna for longer RV's if you notice a weak signal. The antenna can be purchased direct from Haloview at:

Haloview reached out to us asking if we would like to give the Byte Tango 7 (BT 7) wireless vision system a try and do a review on it for our subscribers. Well, that's what we did. In this video we go over the unboxing, the installation, and most importantly, the road test. At the end of the video we go over our findings, both the good and the bad.
If you prefer, you can purchase the BT7 from Amazon

Regarding the signal loss on your screen. I, like you, don’t like a lot of clutter on my. Have you tried moving the monitor around on your dash? I ask because I noticed you have the monitor in this video well under the metal roof of your truck whereas I opted to use the rear view mirror mount/straps. This monitor location allows my antennas to be next to the glass at the leading edge of the metal roof. Not only is the monitor in a position that I would normally use to view anything behind me but I’ve never experienced any signal loss or latency.

@haldyer3145 I haven't moved the monitor from the first location I had it, I just like it where it is. However, I have not gotten a signal loss ever since I got the extended antenna. I did see Haloview offers a mount to place the monitor over the rearview mirror, I might have to give that a try.

@26:35 this seems to be the issue with all of them. Either too narrow or too wide. Here, you say you're about 8' away but looks like you're right on the bumper. This is actually BETTER than having a wide angle of view. My camera shows more BUT when a car is 60 feet away, it appears to be 300 feet away. I'm sure you can understand why this is an issue.

@robmugs thanks for watching and leaving a comment. The more I use the BT7, the more I like it. The only drawback for me is I wish I could see my ramp when it's down. I'm guessing the camera only able to see about 12 feet behind my RV and if backing into a tight spot, that could be an issue.
FYI, we're working on a new review of Haloviews new BT6 Touch with touch screen.

Excellent video. Looking forward to more. I have seen some videos where they placed the external antenna a good 20 feet forward of the camera with excellent results.

@Sadie04074 Thanks for the comment. The external antenna that came in the box has about a 2 foot cable, I'm going to move it around some and experiment. Overall, I love the monitor. Thanks for watching & have a great week!

Thanks for your review. I found it informative with the pros and cons. I purchased this earlier today on Amazon along with a 3 year warranty because these tech items rarely work correctly forever. I've been searching to replace my current Voyager system that came factory installed from Airstream. We have a 2021 GMC 2500HD truck that employs Pulse Width Modulation electrical system, which means it speaks a different language than the Voyager. I'll be installing this camera separate from connecting to a back up light or running light for power. Instead I'll connect it to a "constant" 12v source of the trailer rather than the "pulse" of the truck, then have a manual on/off switch while towing or storing. Fingers crossed.

@ehoss1 thank you for watching our video and glad you found it informative. We still love our Haloview, the picture is so much better than our old backup camera. Good luck hooking it up, and please let us know how you like it after using it for a while.

I think with the antenna extension you can move it forward closer to your vehicle. I think that should help with the signal.

@GregBozeen, thanks for watching and leaving a comment. You are correct, the antenna extension fixed our issue. I updated the description of the video a while ago to explain what we found. We attached our antenna to the front of the RV on the end cap and everything has been working great ever since.

I wonder if you can add a second screen, one permanent mounted for the drivers seat and one for back in the RV for when your off engine and running battery for night monitoring. Would be nice to not have to mount and dismount the screen keeping the main driver screen connected via ignition signal. I would then run the second screen on a switch running from 12v DC solar battery bank. Wonder if both screens would always keep the paring with cameras, so once you turn on the monitor, they are connected already. I wouldn't need both screens working at the same time, just one or the other...

@MNHemiGuy thank you for watching our video and leaving a comment. My first thought is you can only pair one device at a time, but, I'm not sure. I sent an email to Haloview to ask them your question. I'll post their response once I hear back from them. Sorry I couldn't help more.

@MNHemiGuy I got an email response from Haloview. They said you cannot pair a camera to multiple monitors at the same time. You had a nice idea, but looks like it won't work.

I have owned two Haloview RD7 systems. Both failed within two years. While going down the road, the camera wouldn't connect to the monitor and I couldn't get them to work again. These are too expensive to keep replacing so I gave up.

@robh063 Thanks for watching & for the insight. The BT7 we have is brand new so hopefully it lasts. We'll just have to wait and see. Have a great weekend!
