Steve Kay had to listen to the tape multiple times. He had to play it in the Bittaker trial. He had to play the tape for Lynette's mother because she had to identify the screams and voice of her daughter. He also had to show her the crime scene and autopsy photos of her lacerated and battered body to confirm it was her daughter. This man has seen and been through so many traumatizing cases. Give him a damn break y'all.

@@ttx3for Steve, it wasn't about the money. It was about having sympathy for the girls and putting California's most sadistic serial killers behind bars. The Ledford Tape is not released to the public because of how awful it is. And having to listen to it multiple times takes a toll on the human psyche. The lead detective Paul Bynum took his own life because of the brutality of this case and also because of the contents of the tape. It's just awful.

4 min 20 sec into this video, just listening to the prosecutor describe how he remembers the details of the case, brings me to tears because I've read through this case thoroughly and I've even read the transcript of what was on the audio tapes that those despicable men recorded. That is the question and they are questions we never seem to as ourselves.
