@@cris_viga_loca hey man no problem. So I drew the body on a very large cardboard. With all the exact measurements. Like a real construction paper or blue print for a guitar. So the body was painted black and then I stuck the stencil on the body, so they could paint it in gold metallic. @@Dignityofficial_ Holy cow really??? I have an alexi laiho 200 that I was going to disasemble and use to make a copy of the white and black one. Exactly like the one you have in the video haha, are the dimensions on the neck the same as his? I'm struggling on how I am going to re-create the neck. Any tips and tricks you have would be greatly appreciated.
@@CaptainPantys I did too one time for an old friend of mine, painted his alexi 200 new in gold and black (like my first build) and upgraded every part. no, the neck is quite different. same scale lenght 25,5" but the neck profile is a little bit thicker. If you want to change the neck profile on that 200 (I actually cant remember if the 200 has the same profile as the ESP), then you might wanna sand it down a little bit in a shape you would like. But remember, if you want to paint the neck or body, sand it down completely, that there are no stains left from the old paint. Its very important. The paint on guitar, especially the cheaper ones, has a polyester paint, that will probably react with the new finish. it might not stick on the paint, change the color of the new paint, cracks the new paint or maybe the new paint will never dry. but you will probably not be able to make it a set net, because the joint is too small, that there is a chance it might not work when the string tension is applied and it will bend easily.
@@Dignityofficial_ Oh damn, ok thanks for the tips man! I haven't even researched the paint yet, since I will be making an entirely new body for this build. But I still did need to know that information because I was planning on painting white stripes on my black 200 once it's re-assembled and has an emg alx installed. Also since you seem to know a lot about the paints, for a future build, how would I make blacky? It's like the base paint is matte, but then the other black paint is super shiny, how would you even pull that off?
@@JeremyBarbell yeah that probably will take a while. But don't worry, you eventually get there if you stick to it. Never give up, let the motivation always be greater than the frustration
Yes and no. I love all albums. But a thing that shaped me as a guitar player were definitely times from HCR forward. I was watching hours and hours and practicing with those because there were things like Rockhouse Method and Young Guitar around which had all those songs as lessons with tabs. These were the things I played alot because they were available for me at the time and I wasn't good enough yet to figure out some other stuff. I didn't have a PC at the time so searching for tabs and going on UA-cam to watch covers and stuff was nothing I could do on a regular basis. But to be honest, my favorite album is still relentless reckless forever, which is mildly infuriating for some people. I also wouldn't say older or newer albums are better than others since that is something that is highly influenced by personal taste. Anyway, thank you for your comment, i appreciate it 💜
@@Dignityofficial_ you gotta do warhearts. That album is probably one of the best guitar albums ever. The follow the reaper album is fantastic too, containing kissing the shadows which is probably the most iconic guitar/keyboard duet solo ever. Man those guitars are almost as beautiful as the playing, who made them? I can't make out what it says on the headstock.
Thank you very much for your lovely comment!
It says Dignity guitars on the headstocks. I built them many many years ago by myself.
Damn dude, how long have you been playing?
About 15 years now I guess
@@Dignityofficial_ Damn, I just started a month ago. Looks like I have a while to go to get that good lol
@@JeremyBarbell yeah that probably will take a while. But don't worry, you eventually get there if you stick to it.
Never give up, let the motivation always be greater than the frustration
Rest in Bodom
Your picking hand is exactly like Alexi's. Pretty scary.
Damn right!
Yes I winner
Im the 666th viewer!
Eh you are a newer fan. The older stuff is far superior
A best of solos video without a Towards dead end, Bed of razors, follow the reaper, kissing the shadows and maybe even a few others just doesn't ring the same. Your guitar playing does rock and they are good pieces, make no mistake; but yeah, it ain't the same without those albums incorporated.
@@LowerDerek I did a solos tribute, also including kissing the shadows, Bodom beach terror, Bodom after midnight and many more!
But i can't change it, but i just grew more into those that i repeated and learned, but yes, Tokyo warhearts and the old stuff from something wild and follow the reaper are classics and awesome.
I don't know if superior, but different.
Amazing playing dude
Thanks a lot!
