I have 2 suggestions when mounting the vista or 03's with VHB use two piece of VHB and leave a space or channel for air circulation under the vista .
Second, if anyone is objectionable to not using the two standoffs in the rear, you could drill a single hole in the center of the frame in the upper and lower plate, and use one standoff in the rear, which would give a decent amount of structural rigidity back to the rear box of the frame.

One of those lock nuts is a different blue, triggering my OCD. Really tempted to try out the FETtec.

@@Vizr you still can't just solder or plug your vtx to the fettec fc or do you? Do you still need the osd and pdb? I simply dont have enough room for that in my reverb.. would love to try ot out though
@@100100freak Before I switched to digital, I ran telemetry warnings instead of OSD. However, I do have a FETTEC osd board I was going to run in an analog set up but it’s no longer needed because I’m switching to shark byte. I’ll be posting the parts in FPV groups on FB soon.
And yes VTX plugs onto FETtec FC. Very easy.

@@notsure1502 Nonono, I am ripping that Fettec Stuff with the smaller and lighter 35A Version on my 6S Apex Rig for at least 1 Year now (and I mean Ripping as you can see on my channel) and never had issues with Fettec. It´s ultra-reliable and the ESC holds up well even when I lose patience while turtling it out of heavy Tree branches ;)

Lol I soldered my bat leads backwards on my first build too! It’s like a right of passage.
You don’t need to go back and forth between KISS GUI and FETtec configurator to check motors. You can do all ESC setup (except ESC orientation) on the FETtec configurator. Motor test is under telemetry page.
Super Clean build, loved it. Also Kiss software seems quite nice.
The pids and rates don't appear in the description.....
I will advise you to invest with manager kingston and earn huge like I do and he's currently handling my portfolio earning 200% profit with his strategies and guidance's you will achieve alot

Yeah uses a crazy heavy frame and heavy motors and kwad skids and somehow he still comes out at 630g au.
This frame Rocks i'm on my second build with it

Mine is 661g RTF with gopro session, Jb f7 flight stack, tbs unify pro hv, newbee drone flow 2306.5 2450kv motors, foxeer trex micro, tbs rx, talon faf series 1300mah 125c 5s lipo 175g, rotor riot skids session and sma mount
I used 25mm stand offs and dropped top deck down 5mm
UAv tech pre sets with some minor changes
so i have around $375 into the quad its a bad mofo on 2450kv motors 5s cut to 90% in beta flight

Nice build with a twist
Even though I don’t have the money to build this quad I’m glad I watched this because I got one amazing tip from it. I ordered some of those fc isolation rubber screws and they work amazing! That one thing alone cut my prop wash in half at least! Thanks!

It´s not recommended to put the capacitor on the end of the battery wire. It should be as close to the ESC as possible!
90% of build have the cap connected to the XT. No issues.
This is technically true but unless your black boxing to log voltage spikes none of us are going to know the difference
@@Vizr my XT60 caps got quite hot after normal flights, added a small extra cap directly onto the ESC, no more issues. If your XT60 wire is short (like in this build video) you might be fine, with longer wire I don't recommend it.
@@NickBusscher I’ve always ran 14 gauge XT60s on power pads with 330uf caps and have never had a heating issue. I run the FETTEC 35a esc exclusively.

Looks like a clean build. I've ordered the same FC and ESC for my Armattan Badger. I do have one question though. I've noticed that FETtec recommend using a Spike Absorber for that ESC. They didn't have any in stock anywhere so I haven't bothered buying one yet and I noticed they aren't used on this build. Are they important or worth getting or not?

Curious about suggested battery mAh, weight of the build, and all up weight.
Question? I am just getting into my 1st build, I noticed you put Esc with motor solder terminals forward & reverse facing as opposed to left & right. Is their a specific reason for this or just protecting the wires in case of crash or impact?
Where are the PIDS? They aren't on the website...
Had three screws on my new build day before yesterday... I spent 4 horus last night repairing one of my motors because of that. It flew great till it hit the ground low and fast. Motor came loose twisted and broke all three leads so I had to take it apart find new motor wire inorder to extend the motor wires right from the stator. They don't make those motors any more and a new one was crazy priced. So ya.. imma stick with 4 screws bro lol

barely getting into this hobby, is this a good beginner setup considering its price?
(Go betaflight. At least at first. I would saw analog is good for beginners and pros alike. Much cheaper and easier. If u want a 5” I would get the Iflight nazgul 5!!) I would not recommend this as a first build

well, I would assume it uses quite a few, but im assuming vanover replaces them all with double sided tape in order to save that extra little bit of weight. (jk)

As a florida boy hailing from melbourne I would love to fly with you guys and learn more about FPV. Im fairly new..only been flying about 3 weeks with my tinyhawk freestyle. All your videos are great and informative. You all rock.
I just ordered Fettec FC+ESC , i wanted to give it a try since quite a while ;D and you helped me to take the decision. Is it possible to see your pids/settings ?
@@adamjosey1543 i mounted the drone, but the FC seems to be dead...ffs at that price that's a pain in the ass. it is very weird, i cant connect to it, while i did activated and updated it, i think it might have burned cause of the air unit i'm not sure

How many grams does it weight including battery and GoPro?
I'm going to put CRICKET motors on as they're exactly the same as Vanovers (except color) but cheaper according to RR.
How do I find Vanover’s tune.
One mistake. There are no replacement pads for the connector that you used for Vista. I ripped it out, damaged traces, and now i cant use that serial port... You have the other two serials on the top, but in my case, they are occupied by crossfire and gps...
So, no replacement for that connector rx and tx, unfortunately... :(

Fc comes with nothing. Esc comes with a cap and wire harness to connect to the fc that’s it

You are better off with "acetate cloth tape", that is the black stuff and it does not come loose over time like electrical tape tends to do!

Tempting me to try Fettec, but that 45a ESC costs almost twice much as my favorite FC+ESC combo. All their stuff is premium with price to match I guess
my friend that esc is the best esc in the industry right now. Flies like a dream
@@pedronhfd6969 Some think cause its 45amp it isnt as capable but that is WRONG. Id rather use this ESC than a zeus 60amp or T-motor 55amp pro or like wise. Would you also agree?
followed his instruction, but I can't seem to map the motors through the KISS GUI, don't know what to do.

@@cafub2650 I figured it out, it was very noob of me lol. I had my esc mounted CCW and Vanover had his ESC mounted CW , and in my head I followed it correctly. Thought I did something wrong lol!
