I’ve been told when directors create a film they’re truly into, that they put a piece of them selves into it. And the fact that Warner Brothers got Wheaton and butchered Snyder’s vision so badly and released it in that laughable state must have tore Snyder apart..especially with him dealing with his daughters death. I’m glad his vision was able to be released and he got the recognition he deserved!
I honestly don’t think the movie is longer than it needs to be. It needed to tell a story and connect to an audience that had largely written this off as a cash grab from a studio. These (DCEU) films are going to be compared to MCU films, that’s just how it is, and they are at a time disadvantage. While Marvel had years to fleshing out characters and back stories, they did not. After this 4 hour run time, I am more invested in these characters than ever before. I’d say that this movie did what it was originally tasked with, connect with the audience. I loved this movie. I’ve watched it twice.
The movie could have been cut to 3:30 or maybe 3:15 hours to be released into cinemas. Audiences in theaters would have lost their shit with Barry time reverse and darkseid saying let's do it the old ways. This movie really deserved to be seen on a big screen with Audience cheering beside.
@@HELLO_KORO well you gotta remember that Snyder's Batman is modeled after Frank Miller's Bat's in The Dark Knight Returns. Hence the darker tone of the Snyderverse.
That's an awfully heavy accusation that you have absolutely no proof for. Whedon fucked up the movie because he fucked up. Whedon didn't have to do anything to sabotage WB and the DCEU, they were doing just fine sabotaging themselves.
Hey film comic. If I can help explain some things. The black suit has been in comics before. It's a regen suit. It's meant to collect way more solar power and radiation then the normal suit. He is back but he is now whole. As for superman attacking the leauge cyborgs auto systems attacked first. If the system didn't activate he wouldn't have attacked. He was confused and attacked on instinct. Lois just woke him up.
playing Devil's Advocate, I'd argue that if Joss Whedon had been given A-creative control from the beginning rather than having to fill some very influential shoes and B-was allowed to make a 4-hour movie; if not for those 2 major factors I think Joss could've produced a great Justice Leauge. Having to slice the Zack Snyder version in half to be released in theaters could've been its undoing; I know I had to take a break from all the bleakness halfway through. There are no peaks and valleys of emotion, just depressing sadness and dark depressing colors, which is why I like Joss's version, there's a break from the bleakness w/ humor.
5:14 : I've only seen it once, so maybe I've missed something. In the flashback scene, it seemed like Darkseid had revealed that 'Mandala' when he struck the ground with his own axe. Yet, later, Steppenwolf discovers the same thing, and relays the information to Darkseid as if he hadn't known. So, who saw it first: Darkseid or Steppenwolf? Also, I'm just so used to Darkseid being 'Mega Godlike Entity', that seeing him hurt by the 'simple' axe of Ares (who is also a God, but not on the comic book level of Darkseid), that that scene just surprised me.
I could not agree more with Nyat. The Snyder Cut was definitely a massive imporvement from the Whedon cut. Despite the time length, the film does a great job in terms of story, character development and tone of the film as well as each scene.
O we're gonna see the future films alright. Just you wait. We're gonna see it wrap up in nice little bow if it's the last thing us fans do in our lives.😎
Great video, except Snyder didn't "remove any moments". Zack hasn't seen Joss's film. This is the film he shot back in 2016. Also it's never once been mentioned that "Darkseid War" was an influence. Final Crisis and Injustice for sure.
i actually liked the Lasso of Truth bit with Aquaman i mean yes it really didnt fit but i still liked it but that was probaly more to do with Jason Momoa been epic even when he is making a fool of himself.
The Snyder Cut was really good. I really liked all of the added scenes with Cyborg. Ray Fisher did a fantastic job portraying Victor Stone. All of the extra scenes combined with Ray Fisher’s ability to emote his feelings of depression, despair, and the uncertainty of his transformation from man to machine really pushed Cyborg’s arch forward. I also feel that Aquaman was portrayed better in the Snyder Cut. In the Joss Whedon version, Aquaman comes off as kind of a simple minded surfer dude which I didn’t like at all. Actually all of the extra screen time the heroes got made all of there personal story arch’s flow a lot better. But I think Superman received the best treatment from the Snyder Cut. He looked so Badass in the Black Costume and I’m glade we had the opportunity to see him in it. Overall I was extremely pleased with Snyder’s final version. It’s a total shame things didn’t work out during the production of Justice League. It just sucks that after we finally got to see Zack Snyder’s vision come to fruition, WB/DC have zero plans of continuing where Zack Snyder left off.

Finally a sound mind who I can respect. Absolute great work man, love this exploration. 👊🏽
"steppenwolf looked constipated"
didn't have to roast the guy like that
This..This.. IS WHAT I WAS WAITING FOR ALL THIS TIME
I’ve been told when directors create a film they’re truly into, that they put a piece of them selves into it. And the fact that Warner Brothers got Wheaton and butchered Snyder’s vision so badly and released it in that laughable state must have tore Snyder apart..especially with him dealing with his daughters death. I’m glad his vision was able to be released and he got the recognition he deserved!
that intro was perfect
I honestly don’t think the movie is longer than it needs to be. It needed to tell a story and connect to an audience that had largely written this off as a cash grab from a studio. These (DCEU) films are going to be compared to MCU films, that’s just how it is, and they are at a time disadvantage. While Marvel had years to fleshing out characters and back stories, they did not. After this 4 hour run time, I am more invested in these characters than ever before. I’d say that this movie did what it was originally tasked with, connect with the audience. I loved this movie. I’ve watched it twice.
Yooo you mad funny with the beginning ...lol
I love this💜. Great video
Nicely put Mate. Cheers, appreciate it.
I Love your Videos so much. You are the Zack Snyder of UA-cam :)
Hmmm.. what's that beautiful atmospheric music you used in the background? I want it
Brilliant as always
Good hearing ur voice again mate 🍻 cheers
Loved the intro
After Marvel finished their masterpiece then we got this, ahahaha the next decade wont be boring im sure of it!!
Last decade was for marvel, now this new decade will be for dc! If warner doesn't ruins it
@@ferzwither IF ONLY there is more movies directed by snyder
@@thesimpledude186 careful. He doesn't have the best track record for theatrical movies.
@@ferzwither nah they said syder verse ist Canon on top of that there track record been shot tom and jerry and wonder woman.
@@ferzwither lmao awfully optimistic there.
The movie could have been cut to 3:30 or maybe 3:15 hours to be released into cinemas. Audiences in theaters would have lost their shit with Barry time reverse and darkseid saying let's do it the old ways. This movie really deserved to be seen on a big screen with Audience cheering beside.
2:10 did you say "streets ahead"? Damn you Pierce Hawthorne you did it, you coined the damn phrase
I want more 4 hour movies that was a hella fun time
The Snyder verse must be restored
Agreed.
@@damianstarks3338 I think they should keep doing single movies but let zack finish could all lead to a multiverse event
Just hope Batman stops killing and He retcons Dick Grayson death to be Jasons
@@johnlawful2272 I like were your head is at in this comment.
@@HELLO_KORO well you gotta remember that Snyder's Batman is modeled after Frank Miller's Bat's in The Dark Knight Returns. Hence the darker tone of the Snyderverse.
"Streets ahead" Pearce would be proud
Love that edit in the beginning
I freaking hated the whedon cut, he was sabotaging Justice League for Disney
Its apparent.
What's the name of music playing behind this video?
Liked the intro where Zack Snyder's fighting 2017 blu ray justice League
Behind the perilous journey of DC's finest heroes, what makes the DCEU more anticipating is we never know the odds of it future come to fruition.
Thanks!, finally a Snyder JL film critic that I loved, I'm tired of critics mentioning and mentioning the MCU
he did mention the MCU
This video was awesome. Well done, man. If only I can see the Snyder Cut. Please make a video about the Deus Ex Franchise.🙌🏼🔥
2:11 nice touch, hoping for a community reference, pierce would love it (if you don't get it your streets behind)
0:03 even those lip movements are more beliveable than 2017's Superman.
Been waiting for this day for some time now
Can you do a video about how the paperclips at my work always get stuck together even though I swear I separated them the day before?
I could not agree more with Nyat. The Snyder Cut was definitely a massive imporvement from the Whedon cut. Despite the time length, the film does a great job in terms of story, character development and tone of the film as well as each scene.
@7:12 "JOSS-tice League"
Nice!
It’s weird Batman never helped Martha Kent with her home, after all Superman did ask him to save her.
She says she never told anyone about it. Lois was the first to find out. As soon as it was known by others, Bruce bought the bank
@@turtleguyfan silly me.
Have you reviewed the mimic movies?
O we're gonna see the future films alright. Just you wait. We're gonna see it wrap up in nice little bow if it's the last thing us fans do in our lives.😎
the snyder cut was really great, I didn't expect to like it as much as I did, and this video is great too.
Great video, except Snyder didn't "remove any moments". Zack hasn't seen Joss's film. This is the film he shot back in 2016.
Also it's never once been mentioned that "Darkseid War" was an influence. Final Crisis and Injustice for sure.
am i right thinking the background music you chose was from risk of rain??
What’s name of the songs of the background
i actually liked the Lasso of Truth bit with Aquaman i mean yes it really didnt fit but i still liked it but that was probaly more to do with Jason Momoa been epic even when he is making a fool of himself.
Perfectly articulated!
The part where Aquaman was sitting on Wonder Woman’s Lasso was the only part of JL that I liked.
I loved this. This is what happens when you let an artist do what they want and tell the story they want
Nobody took that right from Snyder. His daughter killed herself and he stepped down.
