I've never seen a more beautiful collection of Japanese Maple bonsai trees! So healthy, with vibrant colors and handsome shapes. Well done, with God's help, who makes things grow.
These are all beautiful and well cared for. Can you please type out your top 10 list. I tried making a list but not sure on the spelling. Where are you located? Thank you for your content. I will be waiting for more.
Beautiful trees you have there! Nice countdown. I noticed the mountain maple which I've only come to know this week. We found one on our property just a few days ago. I'm excited to try some cuttings.
Super coloured collection! Are you working in a nursery for all the knowledge or is a simple passion to have all those bonsai maples? What you’ve done is out of the imagination, super work!
Well done to you sir these are in my opinion the best selection of bonsai trees I’ve seen. Question for you is in all your trees on top of soil I see these little grey balls I’m guessing it feeds your trees? Thanks again for showing your collection I’ve now subscribed to you and now to watch more of your videos.
Such awe inspiring bonsai!! Love these colors and collection!! Been trying to find Seigen and Beni Chidoris for sale in the states. Any ideas? Thanks for doing what you do!
Beautiful! Do happen to know which are the most cold tolerant? I live in Alaska and there are some maple trees locally, but I don't know their names. I'll need to leave them outside all winter. Anyone have any suggestions?
Kiyohime, Muresaki Kiyohime, and Kashima have amazingly beautiful spring growth; the light fresh green leaves are neatly edged in red (purple red in Muresaki Kiyohime) and petioles and stems are also red (purple red in Muresaki Kiyohime). Kiyohime also roots relatively easily from cuttings, so it can be propagated without the graft scar seen in the Kashima here; this worsens with time as the understock expands faster than the scion stock. Kashima, Muresaki Kiyohime, and Kiyohime have a very neat horizontally tiered branching habit that makes them natural upright bonsai; they usually max out at 2.5 to 3.5 feet (1 meter) in height after +20 years of growth, forming a flat tablelike top. All you need to do is thin out their dense branching, no wiring or leaf size reduction is required or recommended. Their tiny foliage stays well within proportion uless they are badly overfertilized. The dense, horizontal branches tend to trap fallen leaves from taller trees and shrubs in autumn, and these must be carefully removed from the brittle branches. The disadvantages of most of these dwarf Yatsubusa types of Acer palmatum are that they usually have uninteresting autumn color (yellow or yellow flushed orange), older branches become very brittle as the plants gain age (especially with Kiyohime), and their bark is slow to develop the desired aged look. Unless you wish to work with bright solid red spring flush palmatums such as Deshojo, Shindeshojo, or Shishio (none of which have ideal natural bonsai growth patterns, and nearly all of which turn dull green during the summer), cutting grown plants of Kiyohime are really the best bonsai subjects for both beginner and advanced palmatum bonsai specialists.
Hello there, firstly awesome collection. I'm jealous. Keep it up. Now I have one Katsura and one Antropurpureum. Both of them have leaves starting to get green (Katsura is totally green) why would that be? Lack of sun? Thanks
The intense sun 🌞 makes the tree to get green fast 💨. Lack of sun will keep the spring colour longer.. I believe 😬😬😬. I not the best guy to you to get advice from 😂🥹😅.
Wow!! Great Collection !! Nice video! Pls Tell me what is the exactly name from the maple by 9:55 min .. you said dissectum .. ok but which one exactly ? Thnx
Depending, winter ever 4 days, spring everyday 1 time only, spring towards summer 2 times a day, summer between 3 to for times. Only water the pot, do not spray water on the leaf 🍁 on the spring. 😉
Disagree, those aren't really good for indoor bonsai. They're really good upright outdoor growing trees but Bloodgood grows too fast and has spread out foliage. Also, I love Sango Kakus but they wouldn't really stand out as bonsai since the bark excels when it's big and stands out, but I've grown lots of Coral bark maples and they aren't the best small. I pretty much agree with this guy's choices for acer palmatum bonsai.
@@bonsaicollector1958 yes, you need more trees with year round interest for a better show, im aiming to have at least 25 varieties, all your trees are on my list but definayely consider more variety as opposed to having 3 of the same interest of trees
are you certain that is a bloodgood? I have one too and every time I see them at a nursery it looks like the one I have. the leaves are a much deeper red and the bark is smooth and dark red.

Perhaps it was because the trunk was more exposed than the other trees, but the Seigen kept catching my eye.

bloodgood deserves to be in top 5, if you had orange dream, bi hoo, sango kaky and purple ghost your list would be rattled
