Beautiful! Do happen to know which are the most cold tolerant? I live in Alaska and there are some maple trees locally, but I don't know their names. I'll need to leave them outside all winter. Anyone have any suggestions?

Wow...Fantastic ！ I have tried to grow Maple many times. But always died within a year after buying from the market. Some got much white powder like stuff on the leaves, some leaves are just dying while starting to grow. I just don't know why. It is almost. heartbreaking.

What do you use as fertilizer?

Perhaps it was because the trunk was more exposed than the other trees, but the Seigen kept catching my eye.

What are you using for your soil?

You have a fantastic collection of maple bonsais! I’m very envious. Where do you live and how much sun exposure do you give your maples? I’m in growing zone 8b and feel like I’m always having to move my bonsai.
