They should do this for special needs children who get arrested at school by police! Getting cards or stickers is indeed the best option

My parents should’ve gotten a card for me saying that I’m autistic and show it to the police before I got arrested both times. I used to have a HUGE fear of cops and when I got arrested in school and at home, they were yelling at me and pushing me down really hard to the ground when they were putting me handcuffs on. This is why every cop has to be trained better in dealing with people with autism

What did you do to get arrested and if it was a illegal arrest your parents should’ve filed lawsuits and you don’t say a word to the police they are NOT your friends and we should be teaching autistic people their rights

I have a disability I have ADHD and traits of autism like I don't pay attention very well I'll become unfocus but still intelligent at the same time so for Some cops out there I'm glad that they're showing care and being a human being having connection with special needs that are mentally unstable is the best way to help a situation instead of some cops arresting them that have no heart

Every autistic person is different and may not have issues with certain things like loud sirens and bright lights, although I do think this is necessary training to have.

A bill should be written into law for the entirety of America that requires that as part of the training for those who become firefighters, police officers, paramedics, hospital staff, search-&-rescue workers, and soldiers, they should be taught how to pick up on the signs of & how to handle people who have autism, Down Syndrome, bipolarism(AKA bipolar disorder), schizophrenia, dementia, and Alzheimer's.

Cities of Buckeye, Mesa, Livonia, Phoenix, and any other cities in trouble for things involving those with Autism in the US. I hope you're taking notes on this. Gilbert, AZ, KEEP UP!!

That’s a great idea with the license thing. Make it optional and it’ll work.

So, we have to wait for officers to have family members who have disabilities to have compassion for others?

The bad thing about the card is that people can make fake and get away with stuff

Not really. its pretty obvious when someone has autism. So if someone lies about it and gets caught - and they will get caught eventually - they'll have commited several felonies.

@@etherraichu Not really. Most autistic people you wouldn't notice they're autistic at first glance

@@etherraichu I'm not trying to give any crap or anything but it's thinking like that that isn't helping us move Forward in society because it's like a stigma Again not trying to get on your case Ace but I am M on the spectrum as Burger syndrome I've known about it since I was a toddler whenever I was going to my childhood psychiatristBut I wasn't formally diagnosed due to things I'm not going to speak about but I need a diagnosis as an adult but most people do not know that I am on the spectrum until I tell them The only people that can tell are ones that know what signs to look for Because they either have family members or are on spectrum themselves But we have the ability to mask and it takes a lot of mental energy through the day and masking is our attempt to camouflage camouflage end with the rest of society But please do remember if you've met one autistic person no matter where on the spectrum they fall that's only 1 person with autism we are all individually different with our own unique quarks and obsessions and all the things that make us us I do hope that maybe my comment can be a little more enlightening for you and your life experiences for any time you come across somebody that is on the spectrum

I work at a home with disabled children and a lot of the children have a tendency to wander off with the permission of the parent or legal guardian we buy trackers on Amazon they're cheap but we saw them into the kids clothes and we can track them on a nap whatever they Wonder all and that's not only a good idea for people with disabilities that have a tendency to wonder all is also good for older people who might have dementia it's good for children in general who haven't sentencing to one or off or just in general

    • @Widdekuu91
      @Widdekuu91 2 роки тому

You're saying it's good for children in general, but I'd argue that putting trackers in your kid's clothes is not a good idea.
Severely autistic nonverbal kids that walk off often, and then get lost, théy should wear a tracker, perhaps.
Children however, are not like chipped dogs. Don't treat them as such.

Neat in theory, but unfortunately society doesn't have a great track record of allowing disabled people to make their own decisions 😬

HE IS ONLY DOING THIS BECAUSE OF THIS PERSONAL CONNECTION. HIS KIDS. HE WOULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT THAT PERSONAL CONNECTION. SO I DON'T APPRECIATE HIS EFFORTS BECAUSE HIS EFFORTS ARE SOLELY FOR HIS OWN NEEDS!!!
