The BMW 8 Series (chassis code E31) is a great sports car built by the German manufacturer BMW between 1989 and 1999.
A two-door coupe that was produced with eight- and twelve-cylinder petrol engines, called 840Ci and 850Ci respectively. There was also a version called 850CSi. The maximum speed of these models was 250 km / h (electronically limited). However, eliminating the electronic speed limiter, this could reach up to 299 km / h.
Series 8 was conceived as a new GT proposal and 30,621 units were produced from the first series until May 12, 1999.
The 840 with its 286cv were more than just a fast coupé, they were extremely balanced vehicles that made them the ideal tool to travel long distances without accusing fatigue.
