If any of you are planning to study in any European country, please keep in mind that you NEED to learn the local language to increase the number of job opportunities that you have. English is not sufficient anymore. Not everyone can get into a FAANG or an international company. Make language your priority and get to B1/B2 level. Your chances to land a job will improve 10 fold. Good luck!
Spoken indian/asian accent is worst in the world. But they don't agree and do cocky and arrogant they are, they don't learn softer accent. Not only that as usual with indian, they counter argue " O Chinese, arab etc have bad accent to.
Disagree. If you are in CS you dont need language for job. I did my masters from Spain. Got 4-5 job offers across EU . Did 2 jobs in CZ. Dont even speak more than 10 words of Czech. Language is important and highly recommended to learn to enjoy life and get integrated quickly. Not so much for your career.
@@amitsrivastava0191 Doesn't matter if you are in CS or not. Unless you are in an international company where only English is used as an official language, you need the language. I live and work in a Nordic country where English works perfectly. But, you can look at the number of people in higher positions who are non Europeans and find that there are very few. Even Indians here have advised me to learn the language to further my career. There is a language barrier which will cause a glass ceiling. This fact has been highlighted by my ex-managers and colleagues who have worked here for years. If you want to remain in similar positions for a long time in your careers without climbing the corporate ladder, yes it works. If you want to grow, you have to adapt and learn the language. If a recruiter has to choose between a person who speaks the language and the person who doesn't, with the same level of skills, the choice will almost always be the language speaker. This rule is only broken for very niche skills. This is increasingly visible in a tough market and I have seen many of my friends struggle. You might be lucky but it doesn't apply to all the people who get the false hopes that they can get by for long without learning the language of the country where they live and work. Also, I have many friends in Germany and France who have indicated to me, time and again, that German and French are used extensively at their workplaces even if the working language is English. Bigger IT companies might hire you but the local ones will hesitate. Even there, you will find the glass ceiling I described before. I have experienced it and my friends have experienced it as well. In Europe, they hold language very dear and not everyone speaks English. They would prefer someone who speaks their language. The other option is go to UK, US, Canada, Australia or Ireland where English is the primary language. CS or not, learn the language of the country you work in, if you plan to stay long term and grow. If you just want to work for a few years and go back to India or go to an English speaking country, then sure, in that case language is not important.
@@amitsrivastava0191 This is the impression I had when I came to Europe. I work in the Nordics where English is widely spoken and very fluently. The reality is very different. You might be lucky with your experience but it is not the case for a lot of candidates. This is a fact that my ex-managers, current managers and colleagues have repeated many times to me. This is despite the fact that I work for a global company. An Indian Head of Engineering in my company told me how important it is to speak the local language and how he had spent a couple of years of effort reaching near native level proficiency. International IT companies have a working language as English but if you are on the floor working with them, you will realize how important learning the language is. In Germany and France, language is used on a daily basis even for work documentation inspite of the working language of the company being English. Local IT companies and smaller/mid-size companies will rarely give you an opportunity if you don't speak the language. Niche tech startups might give you a shot though. If you are planning to stay in the country, grow in your IT career over the long term in Europe, language is absolutely important. If you want to stay in the same position for years and are comfortable in that without much growth, sure, the language is not important. Also, if you are planning to work for a few years and go back to India or go to an English speaking country, you don't need to put much effort in language learning as well. Even otherwise, the market for juniors is already messed up. Learning the language will give you a leg up. There is no shortage of IT juniors in Europe at the moment, contrary to popular opinion. When they actually mention shortage in IT sector, they are talking about senior candidates, not juniors. The market is so bad that 3/5 candidates studying at one of the best universities in my country does not have a job 6 months after graduation. They still have 6 more months on the job search visa. I know this because so many Masters students have reached out to me. Even people with experience are struggling. Great video. Liked the honesty but a few points from my own perspective. I’m a highly skilled professional with 3 degrees and a master’s from Germany. I can speak German to an extent and my English is very good too. However, I chose to leave Germany soon after my German boss told me that no matter how good I am and no matter how well I do, I can never expect promotions and a career graph like the locals. I will never be a partner in my firm or an MD. I may get my German citizenship too but I will always be an outsider. If you’re ambitious and want to make it really big financially and otherwise, returning to India is a better bet or going to cities like London / Singapore / Hong Kong / New York / Dubai where they don’t care who you are but only about the quality of your work. Europe is not a viable option for students currently if you want to go abroad opt for countries like USA, Germany, Canada, Australia, Norway, Sweden and Japan!! With US being the top choice you might face some struggle initially but it’s still better than earning 30-40k in India!! Stick around and once economy recovers you’ll be fine

Abe Singh feko mat, I am in USA , I have employer insurance still I need to pay $300 for dr office visit, and I paid $6000 for one night emergency hospital charge which was my max out of pocket…the moral of the story is health insurance is another scam in USA 🤪🤪if you have insurance or not you will be sucked in USA…the only benefit of insurance is you will not financially broke immediately…..( my 1 month insurance price $500 with $6000 max out of pocket).
Your insurance has high deductible. For example if it is 1k a year for me that means I won't be spending more than 1k on healthcare expenditure. It's my max out of pocket. The salaries in the US are 2-3x lmao and taxes are 20%+ lower. It makes up for it.
If your deductible is 6k so now everything beyond will be convered by the insurance. It's better than broken free healthcare in Europe where you need to wait months just to get an x-ray done 😂
