Removing Tint With a Heat Gun! Quick and Easy!!!

I got pulled over for dark tint on my front windows and had to remove it. It was easier than I thought and only took about 30 minutes in total.
I used a heat gun, my hands, and a razor blade to lift the corner to get it started.

Thanks for this I have an old 2000 Accord with the tint looking horrible everywhere I got they're talking about charging like 200+ to remove the tint now thanks to you I'm going to use the heat gun I got at harbor freight for 20 bucks to do this myself

@@efrainrojas4539 yeah it worked just had to be patient have to really take time to heat the entire window. My mistakes I was focusing on one part of the window at a time then turning the heat gun off to work on that part nope just keep the gun on keep heating the rest of the window. And was doing it from the inside on one if the windows kind of burned a bit of the inside of the door panel nothing big but it's noticeable if you look at it hard enough. Then on a different window once again I focus too much on one part of the window and the molding around the window started melting.

Thanks Joe great video! My car didn't pass inspection because of the dark tint on the windows so i'm going to remove the tint myself.tint shops where i'm from are charging $40. a window for removel...by the way you have a great helper there with you!!

Hey thanks for doing this. Here in Chile they passed a law against uncertified after market tint so you have to remove it or you can't pass the yearly inspection. I appreciate this!

For the thats left glue just use Awsome degreaser, for 3 bucks
