Be careful around the plastic trimmings. You don’t want those to get too hot inadvertently.
Also, some cheap tints become very brittle and don’t peel off as easily as in this video.
Be careful not to scratch your windows when using the box cutter knife

I used a heat gun on the back window with defroster, and it did well. The defroster lines were unscathed.

I have the same HF heat gun. Do you recommend low or high? And is it more about heating the glass or the glue or a combination?

You must be careful not to melt the film. Otherwise, use the as hot as possible setting.
