Hi! Most of the pedals on this list are very reliable when it comes to the footstrike. You can find some information about which ones are not so reliable in the full review article (link in the description). As you rightly point out, though, this is very personal and the best way to be sure would be to try them out yourself!
Thanks. Excellent review. My 2 cents on the Air Turn Pedpro. It is hard to get used to the pressure it takes to turn a page. I never got used to it. It also totally crashed on me after about 6 months of use.On to the next one.
Just returning a PEDpro… looks great, doesn’t slip….doesn’t work!!! Switch pressure is impossible to judge, jumping up and down on the switch isn’t a cool look. Get something else!
The Dragon fly has a great feature for the additional foot switches. Having said that the Dragonfly, Butterfly, and Firefly are problematic in that when your concentrating on your tablet, it's WAY TOO easy to hit the wrong pedal as IMO they are too close together. During several sets, I have accidentally hit the wrong pedal, (left instead of right) turning the page backwards instead of advancing forward. This has a potential for disaster and actually has at times, BEEN a disaster. There's nothing like NOT remembering the music and depending on the next page to keep you on track. Imagen the horror of NOT having that information for the next line/verse or chorus and realizing that you NOW need to flip forward two instead of one page and NOW you're already lost. NOT GOOD! LOL! I now use the Donner. Not perfect but since I switched, I don't accidently hit the wrong pedal as they are adequately separated. My only complaint with the Donner is that after a set and starting a new set, the bluetooth seems to disconnect and it's gone into pair mode. I'm hoping that this is "setting" fix.
I don't understand what the makers were thinking when they made the switches that loud. I mean their primary market is musicians, and they use the loudest switches imaginable...
The iRig Blue Turn page turner manufactured by IK Multimedia is pitched as a quality unit sold at a premium price. It is therefore extremely disappointing that my unit failed at the outset. Straight out the box, the unit's blue status led failed to light and other than an initial flicker from the foot switches, the device was completely inoperative. Following a number of unsuccessful exchanges with the manufacturer's representative Ariel C, the matter remains unresolved and I am out of pocket. I would advise that potential buyers choose a device from a supplier who has a reputation for reliable products and good customer care.
I have the Air Turn BT200 and I use it with Ultimate Guitar. I have programmed the left to pause/start and the right to page down. It works fine about 75% of the time but occasionally it exits the song back to my full list of songs. Any ideas out there?
I'm using the Donner Page Turner. It's doing a pretty good job with Mobile Sheets Pro. I used tu run it on my Asus device with Android 7. I changed for a Lenovo device with Android 12. And the problem is the App Mobile Sheets Pro won't open in full screen. Only in a tiny window, so that I can't read the pages. When I use Mobile Sheets without the Donner Pedal, it runs just OK. Anybody had the same trouble?
I have converted my slides into teleprompter software using PPT Mirror tool, so I need a better bluetooth page turner (which doesn't break the bank) to switch the slides.
excelent vid! would any of these page Turners also be midi capable for Android app, Soundbrenner? (metronome : specifically next song, tap tempo, play/stop
Is there any wired ones? We have so many things that are wireless, I am afraid it just won't work. How about wired???

Thank you for the review! I am actually using the Irig blue turn, but find a very serious item. It is the fact that some times, depending on the pressure you give, it can turn two pages, and in concert, this can be quite a drama!!! Does anybody know about a pedal which can be reliable in this sense? Other things are not important to me. Thank you for your help!!!
I had the same problem with pedpro . Very unreliable . Found pageflip firefly the best, there is also the more expensive dragonfly with more options for programming . It is a peddle and not a sensor. I highly recommend it .
Is there a pedal that will let you SCROLL down the page rather than a page turn. Particularly when iPad turned sideways so notes are bigger. Thank you!!!!!
iRig page turners do NOT work with Windows! Not recognised at all by Windows operating systems. Very disappointing. Luckily I tried my brother's iRig BlueTurn before wasting my money on one. Your review implies that people only use Apple products. Which is pretty silly.
which ones go to sleep when you are playing and which ones don't? I got one that goes to sleep and it is annoying, sometimes you click and it doesn't go right away because you need to wake it and then go.
Any good page turners that work well with windows? I have a Microsoft surface pro 4 - not much luck with page turners so far, although they work well with my Android smart phone.
Sería bueno que cada pedal que muestras en el video, lo pongas en la mesa para que podamos verlo como es, porque entre tus manos más los subtítulos realmente no se alcanza a apreciar los distintos modelos.
I want to rest my foot on it and the push to turn . I hate lifting my whole leg. I can't with donner because it's too sensitive and ac cc identity turns page
Are the blue lights on the iRig Blueturn very bright? I sometimes play in an completely dark Candlelit environment, would this be a disturbance? (Im keeping the pedal behind the Upright Piano I play on so its not directly visible by most of audience)
When they are connected to MacOS - any issues with Disconnect option in Bluetooth menu bar? Did anyone experience an immediate auto reconnection with these devices on Macs?
Mine Lekato Page Turn is not jumping from page to side as in your video, it slides from top to bottom very fast and out of point sometimes in the middle of the page. I haven't found an app for the Samsung android that works properly. Could you recommend one on the Play store?
I have researched this a lot, and the bottom line from what I can tell is: despite iPads being much more expensive than Android or 2-in-1 flip laptop alternatives, everything in the entire industry is bent toward iPads. You can fight it but it is always going to be a losing or at least frustrating battle. Apple ended up with the same dominance here that they have in other creative fields like visual and video design
That really depends on each device. I'm not sure regarding mouse scroll, but most AirTurn products integrate a custom event manager in which you can indeed emulate different key presses. Though I haven't checked, I believe the advanced PageFlip products do too. I suggest you confirm this from the specs available at both these companies websites. Hello, i cannot use my internal keyboard if i connect the donner..but if i disconnect it then my internal keyboard will show up. I believe the donner works as a keyboard, that is why if you are connected, your internal keyboard is not showing..have you experience that?thank you
Hi, your guess is right: iOS recognizes some pedals as external keyboards, thus not showing the virtual keyboard. With the iRig BlueTurn you can solve this by pressing for a few seconds on the left pedal. Not sure how this works with the Donner but surely there's a trick such as this one. If you find a way, can you post an answer here please? Would be useful for other people!
@@NewzikApp for donner you have to press both left and right pedal..then the keyboard will appear, good thing is you have to do that only once. I want to share this solution..
press both pedals at the same time. this gives you access of the internal keyboard again. Check out the reviews on Amazon (uk) and someone explains this in a little more detail. Hope that helps
I have used Butterfly pedal for quite years for my iPad/Tablet in prompter, to switch my slides which are converted and mirrored-flipped with ppt-mirror.com app, it worthy helps me to record my sales / educational videos without anyone around.
Hey guys, I have one Android tablet with several Word files with chords for lessons.. if I click on the Airturn BT200S-2 button within Word file, is it goes to the next page? or just work in power point presentations for example? amazing review btw!
That would depend on Word to let you do this, but basically most of these pedals act like the arrows on your keyboard. If pressing the right arrow lets you go to the next page, you can expect things to work the same with your pedal.
The Airturn Duo(BT 200) is a piece of shit, the charger adapter will break anytime before a gig. Is there a pedal built like a BOSS pedal? i'm a professionnal musician i need something reliable...Thanks.
Sounds like you should check out the Stomp by Coda Music Technology! 9V DC powered that fits into your pedalboard (you can use a standard pedal adapter or daisy-chain it to a BOSS pedal for instance), USB port available as well, sturdy footswitches although a bit noisy (you can deal with this by adding foam into the spring-loaded footswitch), all of this built into a road-ready metal casing.
Good Catch for all pedals! Thanks for including approximate prices.
You're welcome ! 😉
Brilliant, but I would have liked more info on the confidence and reliability of a foot strike - personal I know but would have been useful.

so helptful, thank you!
Looking for one that will scroll the lyrics, as well as turn the page.

Great video mate thank you
The reason the sound is so crappy is because the mic is 3m away, on the camera. And that room is not quiet enough.
A link for each pedal to buy would have been great
