@Wolfpack345 there’s a new sub sim game called Crush Depth. A first person sub sim where you can manually start the engine and manually do other things as well looks like Wolfpack sub sim but wayyyyyy more in depth and immersion
The three hits after that came so soon, it's unlikely the cruiser could have avoided the bruising even if the first one had exploded. Could have been an extra kill :P
Can't be any worse than American torpedoes during this time: all duds except for the one that the guidance mechanism fails and hits your submarine . . .
@@joshuasill1141 right... The Americans would have been seen as early victors in the Pacific if something like 80% of the mk14 torpedos didn't fail. Most people with experience agreed the WW1 era mk10 was better. But there were multiple attacks on key ships at the perfect time that completely failed. On sub commander landed 12 mk14 hits in an attack with 0 results. Kinda crazy that the Americans had already figured out how to strategically win the war early, but had terrible technology to do it with.
I could imagine a U-Boat skipper reporting his first mission: "Today was a calm day. I delivered groceries to another skipper, surveyed the sea nearby Ireland, destroyed a cruiser within a convoy of 40 ships, and went home."
When I was a kid my Granny used to always tell me i was 'Cruisin for a bruisin' lol I hadn't heard it in 30 years or so. Thank-you Wolfpack, keep up the great work.
I remember my first time driving on a dual carriageway and this motorcyclist blew past me as if I was standing still (I was doing 70mph, so he must have been doing a ton) and my Dad prophetically said, "Aye, he's headin for a spreadin" and, sure enough a few miles further on we came across the accident.
I love the extra you do in between the cuts. Like the still shots of those ships or that waterfilled room. Love it, I get so invested.....Now I need more and longer episodes. Great work, That Iron cross first class is just waiting for you, when you get back to port.
The Symbol on the conning tower in ~ 0:17 is the same as in the key in the city coat of arms from my hometown bremen (northern germany). And we also have two very large U-Boat bunkers here.
Because of you i started to play the tdc mod, my first "experience" was an aircraft carrier group and i got rekt - but after a while it felt so much better to hit torps with the tdc instead of waiting for my crew to do the job. Thank you
I went out on patrol yesterday and I had two friendly torpedo’s hit my boat. It caused severe damage however i was able to repair enough to limp it back to port which for me is Lorient.
Ok Wolf I realized you and I have a very different playstyle when attacking convoys. My first instinct when seeing sth like this convoy is to get in the middle of the convoy and to start shooting left right and center. But I realise your way is probably healthier for the crew. XD
I still miss playing the other U boat types from SH3, sure the type VII is good, but it was nice to change things up by starting a crareer in a type IID to try sneaking into UK harbours and blowing crap up, or Epic transatlantic patrols in a Type IX. I always really liked the IX, although in the end I usually ended up getting taken out by aircraft due to the long crash dive time on the bigger boats.
Someone actually whispers "torpedoversager" @15:59 which means torpedo failure. And as a German I can confirm it's totally common to get shoked out by your father when you make trouble in the back of the car ;) . Awesome video!!
Love a new UBOAT campaign. Wolfgang pt. IV does NOT mess around when it comes to discipline. When I read the title of this vid, I just KNEW someone was getting choked out.
It's great fun watching you skipper the U-Boat. Shows without a doubt how hopeless I would be at this. Soo...I get to play it vicariously through Wolfpack345. I'll count that as a win!
Nice to see Uboat back on :) And just for reference sake, us brits say "Die-dough" instead of "ditt-oh". (not being rude, just trying to help ofc). :) Love watching these, not sure if Uboat or Tank Crew vids are my favourite... awesome stuff either way! Huzzah!! :)
I need to give this game another shot. There have been several updates since I was playing it last, when it wouldn't save but you're making it look fun...like you always do, my friend! Well done!
"Knock that guy out, not having that going on, on my boat...no sireee" Captain Wolfpack 🐺 he ain't taking no crap! 😂 i love the humour, just cracks me up 👍 🤣
Having submariners as friends, their solution to when guys freak out is to stick them in the torpedo tubes. Something about the coolness, darkness, and the tightness of the space that calms them down.
About TDC Dispersion: you can press the little button right beside dispersion on the Torpedo Launch menu, that way it’ll copy the dispersion angle from the calculated TDC solution
Dido Class - Dye-dough. Named after the first Queen of Carthage in Classical Greek/Roman histories & mythology. Nice ships too. Lot of Ancient Greece in RN ship names: Penelope, Achilles, Ajax, Scylla, Charybdis (the ‘Cherry-B’ her sailors nicknamed her), Menelaus, Agamemnon etc etc. Some are still around, or will be again. A ship’s name never truly dies :D
Just to the east of where you came to the assistance of the other U-Boat . Is where a lot of U-Boats were sunk by gun fire after the war . And to the SE is a island , called Tory Island. Where the IRA were broadcasting , intermittently weather information to them . MI6 tried to catch them , but never had any success .
Got so stressed out when Wolfpack stayed at extreme depth for longer then needed while the crew was breaking. Is there really any scence in keeping the boat as deep as possible even though it's affecting the crew in such a way, wouldn't it be better to return to "green zone" as fast as the danger is out? Also, can someone pls explain the lighting system - how does red and blue lights affect the crew and why are they needed.
It wouldn't have mattered about the depth as I don't think he has the disable alarm mod installed. Discipline would've dropped slightly slower but still bottomed out while the escorts were in range. Blue light setting slows oxygen consumption.
Hello me and my freinds recently bought this game thanks to you, But we for the life of us cannot figure out how to calculate torpeado’s with the default system + the TDC It would be awsome if you made a tutorial!
I was just on the game yesterday trying to use the TDC effectively, but kept missing because I was desperately trying to close the distance from running Merchant ships.
Is there any DLC/Mods that allow you to command a submarine of the IJN or the Allied nations? Edit: If you like damage control you would've loved one of my missions. I sunk 3 transports and a destroyer in Gibraltar before a corvette depth charged me and sent me to the bottom. I somehow managed to get flooding under control but all of my bulkheads got wrecked trying to keep the water at bay (except for the ones to the CIC thank god) along with some other vital bits and pieces, I was down to about 38% battery and there was a total of about 130+ cubic meters of flooding to deal with. Long story short I managed to get engines and hydrophones operational, accidently discovered that "adjusting ballast" will shoot you up to the surface uncontrollably and made an escape on the surface at flank speed sinking 2 of the 3 corvettes blocking my way with cannon fire. Gods that was wild
Hey! Great video! I have 2 quick questions; What happened to the series of Uboat right before the end of war? & Where are these in your playlists, because I love watching these in a row?
Great vid! Does anyone know what happened with version B129? The devs had said it would be released around mid-May but there are no news at all yet, which is very frustrating.
I play with this some but it's was hard for me and then my labtop went out lol I'm more into space than water so I'm playing X4 foundations star wars mod. You make it look easy keep up the good work and I subscribe again I don't know what happen to it I didn't unsubscribe to you.
This game is fun to watch you play, but I don't think I would like it. But I appreciate how complex it is, and how realistic they tried to make it. Having to gather visual info before firing on a target is fantastic.
heads up, you can modify the 'realism' values and also have officers calculate the targeting for you, if you want that is. have it as complex as you like! have it as simple as you like! i'm not very good myself, but i've been watching a lot of videos for tactics, strategies, functions of machinery, etc. it can be very complicated but it's very fun to learn all these things. putting them into practice and not panicking... yeah, that's... a different issue ;)
Hello, realy nice video But i don't see the list off mod you use especially the stopwatsh one, i realy need to have a chronograph in the game like a compass to. Every sailor have one in theyre pocket but not in this game lol

I hadn't heard it in 30 years or so. Thank-you Wolfpack, keep up the great work.
My Dad used to say that to me wheb I was pissing him off. 😅
I always liked the "your a$$ is grass" but everyone left out the second part which is "and I'm the lawn mower"

I just finished watching Das Boot and I gotta say thank you Wolfpack! Your series got me really interested in U-Boats!!!!! Thank you!
Good to see you back on UBOAT! It's going to be interesting once B129 drops end of this month-ish

Really appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos, thanks

that was INTENSE ! what fun...nicely done
The blue glow at 16:45 is probably the Cherenkov effect from a leaking nuclear reactor.
I think its only a bug since, back then nuclear reactors werent a thing

Glad to see a return to UBE(lite) glad to see some successful patrols without a flurry of bugs. Hopefully can improve on it more following 129
