In this episode, we complete our 1000 mile passage from Southern California to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and begin to settle into cruising life south of the border!
Peter and Tom are gay sailors who learned to sail relatively recently in the San Francisco Bay, before casting off the lines to cruise Mexico and sail around the world!

We finally made it to Cabo San Lucas! A huge achievement for Tom and I, as we have been dreaming about this moment for years!! So so happy! Margaritas time!
Sailing Bohemia , once more a great video. What is the diameter of your pole? If it is 75mm or more and doesn’t flex more than 30-40mm if Peter puts all his weight on the middle of it with the pole topper on the out board end it should be fine to sail flat angles up to at least 10 knots apparent. The further you bring back the less compression load will be on it.

Hey guys, I'm just a few videos into your channel and am enjoying what I see. I'm a 61 y.o. sailor in Juneau, Alaska, but have sailed in several different places. I've actually done the Baja Haha race twice from San Diego to Cabo. Last time was last year after I retired when I turned 60, so watching this video brought back some awesome memories. @@SailingBohemia Yes, my sail down was awesome in November but we just did skirt the tropical storm in November. Would be cool if you guys came up the Inside Passage here in Alaska. World class beauty and wildlife for sure. Just this year I've seen over 20 humpback whales, sometimes VERY close to my boat. I have friends in the La Paz area, on a 38' Prout catamaran with brown hulls. HIs name is Joe and she's Kristen. Not sure exactly their whereabouts though!
I would love to see a video where you give us a proper tour of your boat, talk a little more about your back story, and give us a picture of your daily life living on a boat.

When you guys anchored in Cabo, there was something hung from the boom in the water over the starboard side of the boat. What was that? Keep up the great episodes--I love sailing and am learning so much about passage making from your high-quality series. Keep up the great work!

TBH we are going so slowly now and exploring everything that you may be right!! we may see you in the South Pacific by then! lol ( we want to see all of sea of cortez, México Mainland and the central American counties before we would cross, so will take some time! glad you like our vids.

You guys made a fast sail down to Cabo, It took me the last time we sailed down (2014) three weeks to get to San Jose del Cabo. We made lots of stops and spent at least 2 days at each of them. It looks like the sail down for you was almost perfect. Do you guys enjoy night sailing more now that you done several of them? I have always enjoyed night sails, it is usually peaceful and it gives you lots of time to think about things. I'm looking forward to catching up on all your videos. Enjoy!

so good to hear Mike, thanks so much. So the plan is that we want to fully explore the sea of cortez this year and next year all of the Mexican mainland... after that most likely central America and Tom really really wants to cross the Pacific to Tahiti.... big plans.
