This channel just popped up in my feed. I'm happy to see that you have a pretty big backlog for me to watch. I enjoy projects and seeing people working to realize their dreams 🙂
Hey Chip! Thanks for dropping by. We definitely have a good sized backlog here and also more up-to-date posts on our website (if you like to read ☺️) Feel free to ask any Q's! Glad you're here.
I did not know that about steering on a Cheoy Lee.......gears and no chain. Awesome. I also watch Sailing Sitka with their Cheoy Lee so I saw you two last year when you were with Jay & Kenna momentarily. Yours has aluminum masts. Was that something you did after the purchase ? Your adventure over to mainland should be great. Thank you for the work and for sharing. Stay safe !
We love Jay and Kenna 💖 Sitka is a decade older than Avocet, but Avocet’s mast was replaced in 2004 by the previous owner. We love mainland! We are a year behind with video updates, but not blog updates, check out www.svavocet.com
Thank you so much for your opening comments about Cabo. My wife and I have been wondering about whether to go there or not. Your comments have now decided the issue. We won't be going to Cabo at any time soon. Our favorite place on the west coast of Mexico is Mazatlan. We'll be returning there next week. I think you might be heading there next. Enjoy!
Happy to pass it on! I don't think you will be missing anything by skipping this busy, expensive port. There is a lot more to see right around the corner :) Yes! We will see you in Mazatlan!
Cabo San Lucas is a popular tourist destination with many activities for visitors to enjoy, including swimming, sunbathing, surfing, fishing and hiking.
The Pacific Baja California Sur is a sea off the west coast of the Baja California peninsula. These waters are home to many species of wildlife, including whales, dolphins and seals.
@@demetriosbaris3570 we have stayed there a few times, one time we left the boat for a few months. Because of that Maybe we got a special rate. But we are never going to stay in Cabo again. Just not our type of place. If you are looking for places to anchor you just need to keep sailing for another half a day. Los Frailes Beach (Baja California Sur): Location: About 40 miles from San José del Cabo, you’ll find Playa Los Frailes. This popular beach attracts both campers and yachtsmen. Description: Bahía Los Frailes offers gentle waters, making it one of the finest anchorages on the coast. You can swim or row to the beach, and the swimming conditions are excellent. Snorkeling and fishing opportunities abound in this secluded paradise. The cove is framed by dramatic rock formations, creating a picturesque setting for beachgoers. Whether you’re camping, swimming, or simply enjoying the natural beauty, Los Frailes provides a serene escape.
Cool! Right behind you (2 years) 😊
Cheers Paul! Glad to have you here with us
That was a great supermarket
it really was! Glad to visit more of them in mainland :)

Yep, definitely a popular tourist destination.
In Cabo I saw the biggest sea lion take the biggest 💩 I’ve ever seen in my life. Fire hose! That was the best part of our time there.🎉
Ha! I believe it!!
Excellent, thanks for sharing 😃
thanks for watching and commenting!

Thanks friends!
Use a Baja filter when fueling up!

I always skip Cabo and go right to San Jose Del Cabo. They have a wonderful marina.
Expensive marina…. Wish there was an anchorage there….

We have heard great things!
@@danknox9986 I’ve heard the area around marina is really nice
The squeak reallllly sounds like your locking screw on the wheel is too tight. It should only be tightened down when not underway.
It wasn't that, we fixed the issue and it has been squeak free for a year and a half now! Woohoo!
