To capture all the layers and nuance's of this song on an acoustic is incredible.
You make us Deftones fans proud.😄You're about to take a magical journey brother. Deftones can be hypnotically addicting. 😄
Also, enjoyed you sharing your insight into your process. Maybe consider doing for 1 or 2 of your most viewed songs in addition to new arrangements. It's a new world with AI-generated 'everything'. Refreshing to have a glimpse into the process of real human artists. A genuine inspiration. Thank you.
-Frank ☮🙇
You're a guitar god man...and the covers and songs you make are godlike
I really love the analysis and playthrough. I think you can just choose any song you want to do analysis and playthrough, because we'll all love it.
I think I speak for most people when I say this is really cool Ernesto. You're insanely talented and it's awesome to hear you talk about your playing. It also proves you're actually a human lmao. Great work
I love how happy you seem as you are working through this song! At about 9 mins in, I noticed that your face is full on joy! So contagious, I find my mood being lifted just watching this. Totally distracted me from work for 28mins, but well worth it! Also, super interesting to see and understand your process, more of these videos would be welcomed. Thanks Ernesto!
Awesome!!! you never cease to amaze!
Good stuff Ernesto! Great idea and hopefully you'll keep doing it.
Bravo Ernesto !!! This is incredible and very inspiring
That was incredible. Amazing to see your creative process.
This is awesome. Thank you for sharing this behind the scenes. I really enjoy this kind of content.
I like watching the process. That was fun. Amazing as always
This was a really fun and interesting watch!
Thank you for a peek behind the veil!
I don't know how you manage to capture such detail from each instrument on the original song and transform it into an awesome acoustic version, but you are extremely talented. I've been playing acoustic guitar myself for 21 years and can't even come close to replicating songs like you can! Keep it up friend!
Great work. Like the new listen and learn format. Plus great that you making new arrangements. Thank you for your hard work
Really enjoy being able to witness your process!
Amazing work! Favourite Deftones song!
Thank you so much for the insight to your creative process 🙏
Awesome job man! I fall into the same category as you as far as my being a fan of the Deftones goes. Also discovered this song semi recently and really dig it.... Really cool to see the methodology you use to compose your acoustic masterpieces! You've got a truly gifted ear for the melody, procession and vocals.
Wow! Really amazing to witness the process. Thank you!! Been following you for a very long time, since you started on youtube actually, and I'm really on board with this new type of content! Saludos desde Argentina!
This was great. I've occasionally dabbled in making acoustic arrangements of songs I like. Seeing you work through it gave me ideas. Thanks.
I LOVE the idea of going over the process. Very authentic and show you truly understand the passion we music lovers have! Thanks brotha!
Super awesome idea! Love it!
Absolutely phenomenonal, love this different type of format of video. Keep them coming! More deftones and Tool would be great but honestly these videos could work with any song.
Awesome, Ernesto. I really liked this video
love it! Love this style of video too! Keep it up
Very much enjoyed a view into how and why you do things…. Awesome as always!!
Fantastic content. Followed you for years since the tool and SOAD covers and this is great man, keep at it - definitely a good way to share engaging content and building your following. Congrats
Huge fan of yours ,keep it up❤️
This is a huge, thick, fat and juicy layer on top of the cover in the end. Awesome work! It's really interesting to look at (i mean the breakdown process) and it adds some extra depth. I don't promise that these explanations will be needed for everyone 'cause most likely i won't watch something like this for songs that i don't know BUT for those that i like - such sections are PRICELESS!
Mr. Schnack, I am only 58 seconds into this video and have stopped everything else around me to try to gain an insight into your methodology for handling Tool level writing (Deftones has always been a close 2nd to my ear and heart).
I've been working through Lateralus, Fear Inoculum, and several earlier Tool songs on acoustic for the past 13 months. Only two weeks ago did I find your channel...I was literally in tears while taking in your Pneuma rendition.
I cannot thank you enough for your hard work and the inspiration you've instilled in me! Apparently masters such as yourself find the nuances (and power) of the little box of strings called acoustic guitar as enticing and deeply satisfying as I do.
Side Note: Even with the neverending encouragement of my girlfriend to practice all through the night, too many times did I wonder (without fretting) about why one would wander around a fret board. Seems at times a bit crazy.
Now, with my headphones in, and some solitude, I will learn as much as I can from this video.
Once again, thank you!
Really nice work !
This is just next fucking level. The intensity is absolutely incredible.
Love your style and I love this particular documentation of the process behind the acoustic covers
😰😰😰 bro I never win anything EVER, so this is obviously not Ernesto Schnack but a bot impersonating him for phishing @ernesto_schneck they're trying to phish people with your name bro!
Just finished watching the video, u're a legend man 🤘
I whould Love it If you do more of These Videos. It realy gives a nice View on how you approach these arrangements and how one could may do it by themselves.
Also, I love how relaxed you are. Just listening to you talk is somehow calming on its own.
Keep up the good work 🙂
We always appreciate more minutes Ernesto! That's a cool idea according to me.
Always apperciate to see how you break it down from your own perspective 😎👍
Love this behind the scenes style video. That's a beautiful guitar! I really need to get mine back and get back to learning....just hard to make my hands do the hand yoga required for some chords 🤣
Thanks for all the enjoyable music!
Really great to see your creative process! Definitely not an easy band to arrange for guitar, you managed to recreate that barrage of distortion with your picking attack. Really nice.
This was an entertaining video. And made me want to look for recent Deftones. 👍
Your guitar is sounding good!
Insane... thats all I can say... I wish I had even 1/100th of the skill and talent you have!
And love the format of explaining your process!
awesome bro, i love it
This is a brilliant idea! You somehow pick my favorite songs and convert them into acoustic which is something I tend to fantasize when listening to music.
i'm speechless, becauce you're awesome
Love it
This is definitely cool I’ve always wounded how you get the song down to where you can kinda here the lyrics. This is definitely a badass video
Thanks!
This is a great video. Gonna leave a comment to help the algorithm.
Thanks for doing this song. Love Rosemary and the whole of Koi No Yokan. Only discovered the -entry- album last year.
Incredible gift to be able to just listen and play, period... but this, this takes it to all other levels.
that's sounds very nice for one instrument!
That was very interesting. I would like to see more breakdowns
So GOOD!! 🤤 Like a brain massage!
Just one word : WOW !
Nice🤘🤘💥🔥
Please make more videos like this❤️
I'm not a fan of Deftones, but I enjoyed your play🤘🤘❤️❤️
Good job dude, love Koi No Yokan.
Uggg, man you make it seem so effortless. Plus your alien fingers got that reach.. haha
I have a few Electro-Industrial songs that I want to play acoustically, but the long synth holds mess me up. Tried playing the notes of the chord in time, but it comes out not sounding right.
I'll try applying a bass line (that isn't there). Some parts are keyboard notes that I could play chords to, they are the chorus so it makes sense.
They're great songs and the lyrics are awesome, just electronic.
Rosemary is one of those songs I listened to but didn't really listen to it. Now it's probably the most played song until the next one hooks me. The chorus is great, that 8 string chugging with Chino singing somewhat softly is a great imbalance. The ending heavy riff sounds brutal then right I to the spacious echo, delay, reverb.
Awesome playing as usual.
This is a great idea. I would definitely watch more of your videos if they were like this. I had to watch it on 2x tho lol
Rosemary? heck yeah that's my favorite too. love long outros
This is great. It's an in depth journey into your thought process in arranging these songs. Most artists wouldn't go this deep into "how it's made." Lol I work in leather and trying to get people to tell you how they did that is like pulling teeth.
@@Ernesto_Schnack so far, nicegram is lookin like a rip off buddy. 😢
i like this type of videos
That's amazing! Can't wait to see more Deftones played by this legend
yo this style of video is great, and you killed it.
you ever play any radiohead stuff? i think you might have a fun time playing something like jigsaw falling into place off in rainbows, o just off the bends
You always look like you feel the music - no matter if you play it or hear it
🐐
Interesting idea. cause your arrangements are very unique in UA-cam, so it was interesting to me how your creative process is usually going .
I, myself will never create something like B.Y.O.B cover, its a real another way to play fingerstyle
Waiting for opportunity to buy Like a Stone tabs
Woow, haven't finished watching yet but, goshh, I have goosebumps right from the beginning of the video. Would love to see more videos like this, I'm into it! Greetings from Ukraine!
upd: also would really like to see you playing something from that: The HU feat. Papa Roach - Wolf Totem (truly outstanding instrumental and vocals) \ Parkway Drive - The River (adore that melodic intro and chorus) \ Deftones - Entombed \ Nothing But Thieves - Amsterdam.
So cool , but you gotta love their second album around the fur , the best album
This is an amazing idea. Please do "Change" by Deftones next. Sorry lol
Lol allergies or did you smoke the devils lettuce? The eyes give it away! Awesome Video brother!
I'd really like to hear Minerva or maybe Changes cause those two are two of my favorite songs of theirs.
Deftones j aime
l got a lot of pleasure with this video. it's the great format!
And when I listen to Deftones my face looks the same 😅
Give Ohms a listen, it's my absolute favorite Deftones album.
Дивлюся, слухаю
Дякую
I luv you
Really like to watch your videos at 4:00 am mate
You nailed his so hard. Whats the Cm tuning? CGCGCEb?
Can you make videos like this for the Tool stuff??
Dig/ that deep aCoustic sound/ /rW purples Nd blues...And mid, song Grn //
Try/ /"Right where it belongs"//just a request.. not a must....Love your work/ what ever you pick...
frfr
maybe the outro can be done with harmonics?
You say your usual c minor tuning, is that CGCGCEb?
Hey, I have a rookie question... How do you recognize which tone a song has? Just you get it by ear or you're trying something else?
What if you switch your video around, play the completed song at the start. Then show how you made it. That way the actual playing hooks the viewer and makes them want to see how you pulled it off?
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind for the next one. Maybe I can put a teaser at the very beginning
Super cool!!! Check Loathe, very cool deftones'y band
Loathe are great, currently one of my fave bands
@@ErnestoSchnack I hope someday you will cover one of their songs
Gracias y saludos
I’d love to hear adrenaline and around the fur songs on acoustic
