Hi, I didn't have any problems with Music app on macOS Sonoma but after upgrading my Mac Pro to macOS Sequoia,Music app is just crash,do you have any suggestions?
I learnt a long time ago to never ever let iTunes (now Apple Music) manage and "organise" my music collection. If you want to remove anything from the library, Apple's default setting is to also delete it from your hard drive. Manage the music yourself.
I filled my iTunes account on my iPhone 5 with torrented music in 2012. Can't remember how I did it but it worked and it worked great. 14 years & an iPhone 7 later which I'm still using my son laughed when I didn't couldn't get my head around Apple music. The iPhone 5 free earphones still work!
Not really. Even if you could you'd then be switching back and forth instead of having all of your music in one place. If you are afraid of making a bad move and losing your ripped files, just back those up so you can easily get them back if you decide to leave Apple Music and start over.
"The Donnas"! I am impressed! I am still struggling with my old videos in my iTunes Library. I believe that they are no longer necessary there, but many of them date back to the old video iPod days. Is it safe to simply delete them from "Music". Thanks!

Gary: Apparently, the location of the Music Media folder can be on an external drive. What about your Music Library? To save storage space in your Mac (and be in sync with your Music Media folder ), shouldn't your Music Library be stored on an external drive as well? What do you recommend?
The Library part is small. The media is what uses a lot of space. But you can put it on an external drive if you wish, yes. I prefer to keep it all on the internal.
I still use mine like the old iTunes. If I remember correctly, the first version of iTunes didn't have any way to attach art. Music is, hands down; my most used app.
