Such a breath of fresh air compared to a few other channels. A genuinely shit situation handled well by everyone without all the BS dramatics, well done team 👌🏼
agree, genuine drama without the BS. great to watch
You know they did it deliberately yeah? They knew that a weather front was coming in, and were told by numerous people that they shouldn’t go. It’s tossers like them that have tracks close
Had the same thought. The whole time I was imagining how subtly Shauno and Graham's team would have run with that incident. 😆
Real drama! not the scripted stuff you get on other channels
@@donaldo1974 careful now, you will end up with a brown nose if you simp any harder.
this is probably the best 4WD video I have ever watched. well done camera men for keeping your heads and filming instead of going full blown panic/rescue mode
Imagine being that rich you could do things like that…
Cameramen, are usually very level headed and cool individuals.
Looked like the movie dumb and dumber, good on the wrecking the tracks for everyone else though.
So used to everyone dramatising everything...... Meanwhile Ronny is the "This is Fine" meme haha
It's been years (!!!) since I've been this excited for a series about anything on YT. This is fecking brilliant.
These trips are where your channel shines Ronny, great footage and so genuine. Hats off to you and the team. Well done
Best content Ronnie has done, so entertaining. Reminded me of that family who got their truck stuck in a storm and set of their epirb and it was on all the news for a week about a year ago. Hopefully this doesn’t encourage people to try cross the Simpson wet “for fun” and waste emergency services time
And he shamed they for not being prepared... yet did exactly that. He knew the weather before leaving...
this is peak 4x4 content here...probably the best I've come across this whole year! Can't wait for the next episodes.
petersons off road adventures.
I don’t normally comment but Torbs driving across that lake at about 19:00 was epic. Greatly filmed and Shows how good torbs can drive. Looks scary but fun at the same time.
How was that good driving?
@@oggyoggy1299 he blew 2 tires off the rim and managed not to roll the car, sounds like good driving to me
@@GoodingInc more luck than skill I reckon. Speed kills
@@oggyoggy1299 Yeah, Ronnie did it smoothly with a trailer, this guy was all over the shop, lost control, blew 2 tires and dropped it in the only big hole. It almost looks set-up, the way he side-planted it in the only big hole for miles... What makes me think it was real is the hints that not shown in the episode was the guy getting upset and pissed lol
@@bigglyguy8429 Torbens cruiser is just way too heavy. Thats why it was all over the place.
Lesson to be learn. Do not pick up your radio while driving a scetchy road, and don't bother your mate while he is driving. He almost rolled the cruiser. I think he would have made it if it wasn't for Ronnie's radio call.
I thought exactly that
YEP!! thought the same thing haha
Yeah he wasn’t going too bad till then but Torbs does like the right foot and you could see on the previous section that Ronny got through ok and was mentioning 2wd when Torbs crossed that he was all over the shop and that was just to much speed. No one got out and actually walked any of it either, now I know it’s a decent size crossing but even one of the camera guys could have walked back and got a better idea on lines and then jumped in with Torbs to help guide across.
Good recovery and some sense going the long way round with the trailer but didn’t need to get stuck to begin with
I think its up to the driver to determine if they take a radio call or not. It is easy enough not to pick up the two way when you are in a sticky situation.
Yupp. Absolutely.
That was epic! I am sure there will be plenty of key board warriors pointing out everything they think you did wrong but regardless what an adventure and thanks for the content. Awesome the watch! Glad Torbs didn't have a roll over!!
Thanks for going out there when you knew it was gonna be wet, Ronnie.
Nothing like a role model to trash our 4WD tracks.
But you are not alone. There are plenty bogans here in the east that have been destroying our tracks in the wet weather.
Bit harsh as I think that particular storm caught everyone by surprise and no one knew it was coming. That said it does dry out quick so often waiting 24hrs makes a big difference
@@rayzor3463 not harsh at all. It has been wet out there all year. Everybody knows that. I had plans to head out but cancelled months ago because of the wet weather.
Ronnie should know better. Those tracks will now take years to recover and could well be closed because of the damage. No excuse. No sympathy.
@@garrygraham7901 while they’ve had rain earlier in the year that particular storm was not expected and not flagged as an issue, without that storm happening they’d have been fine to get through. The track will harden up as the water drys and has probably done so already and will leave some ruts but a bit of a reach to say it’ll cause the track to get closed
@@rayzor3463 its already happened in a number of south eastern NSW forests because of the bogans who just have to go and whoop it up in the wet.
@@garrygraham7901 you’re comparing forestry tracks that are probably needed to be in good condition for fire fighting with tracks across a salt plain/mud flat, not the same thing.
VERY ENTERTAINING -- real life drama -- good mates helping each other -- that mud is SO underrated -- it's nasty stuff -- well done
Camera work was fantastic on this one, especially given the conditions. Excellent work.
never actually seen you nervous before!
edit: this was the most nail-biting episode EVER. you guys are my heroes
Mad respect to Torbs. I'm sorry about the damage to your vehicle, but glad you got out safe
wow... what an episode... this is going to be an amazing series
Find a good high spot, and set up camp. The water "should" dry up in a few days. As long as you have enough supplies to last, waiting it out has got to be a better option than getting stuck in a bad spot.
Straight boss recovery, well organized, communication was key, great examples of team work.
How stupid I hope they send them a bill for the track repairs as the rain was predicted they should have not even attempted to cross
I think was a huge mistake of Torbs trying to answer his radio while in such situation. Nice recovery.
I agree somewhat, but if you assuming the editing is correct (and not a cut for effect) his line into that hole would have been the same regardless.
@@electrosaurus yes I agree but in situations like this better to focus 100% on driving first and communicating second. But after this probably he need it to change his underwear.
@@diegoalejandro64 If he hit that hole at speed his car would be cooked but I also think that he moved over a couple ruts when he went flying so no one will really know the other outcome.
I thought the same. Might have been the editing for drama but it did give the impression that it was slightly self inflicted.
Great video. Thanks! I'm no pro but I'm in the dirt a lot due to a small family ranch/farm. You know what I learned? Vehicles break and weather is unpredictable. Having a truck and plan ready for everthing isn't possible. Even in the military, shit got stuck... When you worried the driver is going to drown, that's stuck. You guys no your shit. Keep having fun...
I'm sure there was a discussion at the start of that large salt lake, do we all drive the boring longer safer way around the lake (um yes), or get some great camera footage and risk all getting bogged ... and with a lot of luck and cool headed planning it eventually paid off ... enjoyed the episode
Fuel wouldve been a limiting factor in going the long way around the lake. Higher fuel consumption going through the mud too.
Ronny talks to people on the uhf.....nekk minute bogged.
This was the best episode I have ever watched. Honest, exciting, serious and not hyped up! Keep it up Ronny. You are doing great! This is the stuff I’d love to see! I would have loved to be there
I think now you learned that when it rains in the desert country, you stay put and sit it out. That includes the floodout country leading in to the desert.
Torbs lost the concentration when he received the call from Ronny at 19:00. The worst recovery I've seen is in GrizzlynBear overland where their Defender 130 got sunk to the chassis on a frozen river in Mongolia at night. Imagine recovering a vehicle in icy river. If left overnight, water will freeze trapping the frame to ice making recovery impossible until ice melts: No big truck can reach his location.
Yeah, I'm thinking Ronny owes Torbs a beer or two for that one, definitely a situation where you just have to sit and watch and wait until the car making the crossing contacts you, not the other way around.
@@KarlEller Well, he could make a decision himself and not answer the radio.
Torbs definitely was panic driving 😂
That was epic, reminder to not worry about the radio when it’s mad like that sweet video!
This is legit. Hewly dewly. Coolest and least fake action i've seen from a prominent channel since Jase and Simon rolled their cruisers in the kimberley.
Awesome Ronny.
Such a sick ep. Could listen to those 2 79’s sing all day long! 🤘
The best ever Australian overlanding video. Ronny is the Australian Boss.
Erm anyone else notice there were better routes on that muddy plain either side..drama for effect me thinks🤦♂️
You guys make the other channels 4x4 trips look like amateurs. Full on and absolutely exciting to watch.
Couldn't wait a few days, gotta do the landbruiser thing eh.
That last clip of the spare tyres falling off the back was hilarious. Awesome episode men!
Insane episode, always great content from you Ronny, shout out to everyone involved (grouse camera work). This one really had me at the edge of my seat!
Gosh!!!! Thats hectic!!!
I would have totally freaked out!!
What a way to keep cool calm and collected and asses the situation!
An unforgettable experience! And that's just for viewers! Huge admiration to all involved in this careful and methodical recovery achieved in exceptionally challenging circumstances - while also recording the event to share with us in this 'edge of my seat the seat gripping', 'gee I'm glad its not me and my 'pride and joy' stuck there in the mud', real-life drama video! The tension increased like a Boa Constrictor's grip, and then some relief at the end - but its not over yet!!... Awesome!
Very well done guys. Keeping your cool and showing people how to manage themselves first, and the recovery second, with cool heads. Hell of an adventure.
As much as i like the action, i dont see why you wouldnt wait a couple of days so it is easier on yourselves and the cars. I hate to see tracks dug up for no good reason.
Incredible scenery 👏 👌 with that wonderful background music 🎶 🎵 ❤️
One of your best Ronny, Torbs. Amazing storytelling, amazing camera work.
I have not been watching any 4wd channels of late. This was a great way to get back Into it. Well done guys.
The corners in Australia where three states meet is amazing to see. We have a similar point here in the American Southwest where four states meet. Beautiful desert scenes. Thank you so much for the FANTASTIC Adventures.
Very lucky Little Bear didn’t roll
Might have been better to have sat tight for a day or 2 to let it dry🤔
EXCELLENT filmmaking and storytelling, Ronnie. So well done, so enjoyable, thanks for having me along for the whole muckup.
Never return by Carvings. One of my favorite metal songs, Great vid, keep 'em coming.
that looked like fun 🤠 but I wld've camped another night n hope it dried out a bit ...that's a tough winch u got on the back
Crazy stuff - glad everyone kept calm and you were able to recover Torbs and the camera car!
love it mate putting everything you try teach people to good use no dramatic bullshit just down to earth good content
well,, he could of said,,theres a way around this,,but,,well show you what happens when you dont look for a better track.. 24/7 allways drive the worst tracks for the camera, when theres a road 12 ft away.. watch black bear pass..people die on there..regular..
Great to see the camera car doing a full send. Good to see how they clean up after to the trip
Great vid with no over the top drama, this is why I watch your channel
Best four wheel drive show going I think
Unbelievable footage Ronnie it's amazing what experience does so cool under pressure pleasure to watch thankyou
This is the best!! Thanks guys for making a touring video!! Loving this so much!!
This should be an add for why you should have mud terrain tyres, even in terrain you wouldn’t think needed
Yep, I'm wondering how I'd manage that situation on KO2's
Seriously I can’t ever imagine considering AT tires over MT on any rig I own
Love the video guys. So much action, suspense and drama.
Holy crap! 😱 Awesome effort from the crew capturing it and glad it didn’t go any worse then it did! 👍
Holy smokes guys!!!!! We just did 30 days in Utah and Arizona where we had several monsoons that affected the tracks just like what you got. Fortunately we were able to wait for dry out or avoid the bad tracks. Looking forward to seeing the rest of what you go through.
Crazy season this year! We were also hit hard in CA on the Mojave preserve.
WOW, every time i watch this crossing with Torbs giving that 79 series hell, its pretty crazy, i just love it. This section of the video should be on some Australian Tourist site. You know welcome to oz, where the bloody hell are you. This is what you can expect if you want to really enjoy the real outback.
What an epic!
This is Epic Ronny. The camera men have done an amazing job capturing all the drama through very difficult filming conditions.
Marty & Sally from Perth
Ever heard of checking the weather forcast?
Absolutely awesome
This is Ronny’s best work yet. This is like Russell Crowe’s acting career pinnacle where Gladiator has just been released in the cinemas. 4wd Action have tried to manufacture this result beforehand some years ago & this is exactly what they would’ve dreamed for.
Great to see you in person at sydney 4x4 expo, I didn't know you experienced all these in the disert. Very good to see you all safe there.
Y’all are some straight up bad ass dudes. This is 4 wheeling at its finest!
Oh this promises to be the best series ever. What a nightmare! But lovely to watch all hands on deck.
Part 3? I'm so invested!!!
LOL 😆 you went the long way around... while you made camera car and little bear 70 go the hard way for footage... you didn't need to rip the pan up at all. Complete 🔨🔧s
What a great episode Ronnie and the team. And as the below comment says, a breath of fresh air compared to most of the other channels these day. Keep up the good work Ronnie!
Well done fellas, i went through east - west a few days before you, the clouds were coming in at Mt dale. I was solo and blew out my l/h free wheeling hub and the anxiety was through the roof so can emphasis with what you were going through
That was a great episode, what a mission!
A fantastic job on this adventure video. You guys are really stepping it up. Love it.
Best off-road UA-cam channel ever made!
Best not using the radio half way through and losing concentration, that's when the hole got you.
Oh what a bloody cliffhanger, love it brilliant video guys.
Awesome content and hats off to you Ronny for holding it altogether.
pretty much exactly what not to do, if it rains in the Desert find yourself a good camp site on sand and wait till it dries out. Driving in this conditions is just stupid and stuffed the tracks for everyone else. Going out there when you know it's going to be wet is even less sensible.
THIS IS AWESOME! I am already fanging for the next episode!
Far out this is epic!! And well handled and good to see some calm under pressure, safety first approaches here. Big lesson shown getting the Prado out first
This was an absolute killer episode Ronny. Thanks for the content!
What an epic recovery!
Epic video. Definitely some of your best work Ronny and team!
This was absolutely captivating. Screw reality TV, that is total garbage. THIS. This the best reality content on earth. Hanging for Part 3 now.
This was a set up mate no need to do that there was an easy plan b on the salt lake Ronny did it this is a very subtle reality TV, the bit out to poppels corner. . There is a dry track there and back 1 km to the west behind the drunes easy track
So much fun...
I remember how crappy the ground got out West when I worked in Seismic oil search. We'd get the Landcruisers bogged down to the tray in some of those wet bulldust holes. Rain would stop us from working because the seismic lines were cut straight through the scrub with a dozer and grader, and when it rained heavily, the lines would turn to soup in places.
Awesome episode! One of the best I’ve seen in a long while!
Epic stuff, gentlemen. Well planned and executed recoveries. Job well done.
This was a great vid of a rescue well done. Friends had a very similar rescue from a bog in Poeppels lake and similarly lost both tyres off the rims on one side - took a chain of 6 snatch straps (many donors!) and a pull from firm ground to get them out.
Superb, looking forward to the next episode.
you made the right call recovering the camera car first. I was hoping you would do that as a casual watcher. Gotta maintain that backup recovery at all times especially when it gets hectic
OMG!!!!
That's bloody intense just watching.
You all held your cool so well
yay been waiting since ep 1 for this 😍 awesome!!! so good
This is hands down your best episode!
If Ronnie hadn't kept trying to talk to you, you probably would have made it Torbs!
Well done Ronny, great recovery and excellent filming, you got us right in on the action.
Great vid Ronny. Cool and calm in a bad situation, is the only way to go. Nice job mate.
What an incredible video! Talk about an adventure
I'm curious why you didn't take the other way around from the start?
Fantastic video clip 👌 looking in from Ireland 🇮🇪
Camera angles and dedication won me! Subscribed from Gold Coast!!❤
Wow! This is so much better than that other “24/7” manufactured drama. Edge of your seat content. 5 stars boys.
two Good Pups.Rather 24/7 than 3 drongos trying to drive through the middle of a wet salt pan when they could have gone around it
And all done without the annoying repetitive high pitch narrative, phrases and sales pitches over and over and over and over again
