GSM Covert Listening Device in British Electric Socket

- In this video we present a GSM-based covert listening device, designed to be concealed as a (fully operational) British electric socket (officially known as Type G socket). A similar device was discovered in 2013 inside the Ecuador's Embassy in London, UK.
According to the then Ecuadorian Foreign Minister, Ricardo Patiño, the covert listening device was installed by Surveillance Group Ltd. on behalf of the British and US spy agencies in order to spy on WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, who was staying there at the time.

Forgot to mention that the small hole on the bottom of the socket's frame has a microphone too. You can see it in the video.
I think the first one you showed is the one used for voice activation and the second one does the actual recording. The first one is just acting as a "wake up"signal generator since it is directly connected, probably, to a power management chip.
SIM card/Network should give some information.
