I have an additional question: If the Camera does not require PoE 12 Volt and the NVR supplies 40 volts in its ports, is there any risk of failure in the camera when using the splitter?
Excellent video and I take this opportunity to ask the following: I have a PoE NVR and 2 IP cameras, one of them with PoE support, for which I use connection #3. The other camera does not support PoE. Is it possible to use connection #5 to activate it? Thank you.
Can we power any IP camera using a PoE switch? (the ones that are having ethernet port for data transfer) I want to avoid having 2 cables for each camera. I want the data transfer and power to run on the ethernet cable.
direct connection to the PoE switch - as long as it's powerful enough for the number of cameras. The switches usually supply about 12 watts per connections with an average max of about 70 watts for all connections (for example, the ZyXel GS1900-8hp) if you go above the max watt rating for the switch the cameras will pop off and on.
PoE is not needed for Ethernet cable distance under 60 meters. Additional power provided by a transformer is only used if the cameras are more than 60 meters from both a NVR or DVR recorders, e.g. large properties, farm house, dairies sheds, where expensive material, pumps, compressors, solar panels, stainless pipes and fittings can be stolen, horse stables, factories, etc.
Excellent! Thank you. I have been reading through many stupid comments trying to find an answer to what you just explained. I don't have a power source at any point where I want to mount the cameras, but none of them will be over 60 meters away from the DVR. After reading your comment, it sounds like I shouldn't have a problem. Thanks again.
ethernet cable you mean? depends if the camera does audio or not. some of mine do and some don't. then you need a cam that can take an external microphone if not
very useful video. may I connect 2 ip cams coming from a poe switch port to nvr lan network interface and more 2 ip cams in NVR Network Interfaces with PoE Function?
Hii,very nice video. How extende Ip camera with NVR POE more than 100 meters and three screems connected as HDMI 2.0 which at 100 meters to NVR HDMI port?
The only answer I could think of for the following question I have, is to give the camera an IP address, But otherwise, WHY do you need a switch or router? Can't you just connect ONE camera to the Ethernet port of a PC you want to use as a NVR/DVR, by changing the addresses in internet options/ LAN properties ? And if so. HOW? Or is it absolutely necessary to have a switch ?
@IT IZME He wasn't doing any of that to show you or me how to do anything, It was just to get his required time for payment from UA-cam. If he cared about what he was doing he would have explained everything he was doing.
Most switches are 24v POE and some cameras are 12v POE ... Would you damage the camera ? In my case I want to use a Synology as a NVR ...hence I just want a switch for powering the cameras ..
This information is erroneous. PoE power is between 37 and 57 volts DC with the VAST MAJORITY supplying 48vdc at about 12 watts per connections. Old Analog cameras run at 12 or 24 volts. A few specialty devices such as Ubiquiti M5 Nanostations use 24vdc which is supplied by their own power supplies (if you connect them to a normal PoE switch they won't power up)
@@michaelmayfield4304 is it mandatory to attach DC 12V/3A Power adapter to ptz ip 4MP cameras or no need...? As in my network NVR is connected to poe switches and poe switches connected to cameras so I'm lil buffeled whether to set preset/tour PTZ without DC adapter
@@mrabbasi9403 - this really depends on the camera specifications. It's manual should state if an external power supply is needed. Most PTZ cameras have a power "brick" that supplies the additional power needed. They have to 'P'an / 'T'ilt / 'Z'oom and that usually takes more that the 48vdc @ 12 watts (it can go higher) that are usually supplied. Maximum current is usually 350 to 600mA .

@@michaelmayfield4304 Yes but what kind of switch, there are a multitude of variations of switches on the market. Start with POE or non POE that will give you something to think about.

#2 wrongly connected. Active Poe out to cctv that suport poe in, or use active poe splitter for unsupported cam/device. If passive poe injector, use passive splitter too. Active means auto voltage and amp (standard at/af). Passive is an hack, make sure the voltage and amp is match.

Excelente video gracias por la información. Saludos 👍🇵🇪
We can use internet of that ?
song name pls
Im clueless but whats the purpose of all the other ones when you can do #3?
If it's PoE then why do you need a power supply? I would think that that meant the DVR supplied the power to the cameras through the Ethernet cords.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing.
What?
Can connect it directly with WiFi router via poe splitter

Hi. My nvr has one Lan port. How do I connect it to the poe switch and seven cameras to the poe switch? My poe is netgear unmanaged 8 ports.
amit amit connect the cameras to the network switch on PoE ports and connect the nvr to the network switch as well.
How to connect multiple cameras with method 4? If i have 2 switches, with 4 cameras each. Do i connect it to a 8ch nvr or 4ch nvr is enough?
If you are going to connect 8 cameras then you should have 8Ch NVR.
You would use a minimum of 8 channel NVR or a computer running nvr software like Milestone, iSpy, or Avigilon that allows multiple cameras.
Nice

2, Poe Injector Output 12V-2 A ????
If you have to hook power supply AND ethernet then its not poe, poe is power over ethernet
You connected the PoE injector backwards. It should be IN to the switch and OUT to the camera.
also I don't understand why at option 5 he is using the POE splitter at the camera and not using the cable directly to the camera?
Get rid of the crap music trap . . . . and add a voice over!
I dont really understand about the no.5 how benefit to use poe spliter compare to poe switch no4.... can you help explain? To me i ,ve the no4 ....
You also have to account for voltage drop
Run 2 cameras with one line if it has enough power?
He has all the schemes wrong, since he does not have a cable coming from an ethernet provider for 100 mega bits in the scheme!!!!!!!!!!!!
