Personally, I have no problem with the taste of fuel in a cigar when lighting it with a Zippo. Maybe because I am a beginner in smoking, and my experience is about 10 cigars in a year. But the only problem with using the traditional version of the lighter is its extreme instability in the slightest wind. But it gives much more aesthetic pleasure than turbo lighters, as for me. Thanks for the video
I am 52 years old I had my first zippo when i was 17 and i used to smoke cigarettes, purchased my 2nd zippo in 2003 and at that point i used to smoke cigars in 2011 purchased my 3rd zippo and at that point i was smoking tobacco on briar pipe, today still using my zippo to light my pipe so the answer is that if you can't light something with a zippo then get a torch or a flamethrower.
Just picked up the zippo torch insert and been using that for a week now. Was using the standard zippo and never had an issue and never tasted fluid. The torch is much easier to use for touch ups tho
I personally wouldn’t use the lighter fluid inserts on a cigar. I use a butane soft yellow flame and butane single torch inserts. Zippo all day everyday!

Yes agree that torch is the best for touch ups.
I have been using a traditional zippo for the past 2 weeks and I pull it in and don’t taste anything.
I use a regular zippo and a torch. I can’t tell the difference
Only problem I've seen with the new options for zippo is limited 2 year warranty and flame is not adjustable on soft flame inserts
Yeah I was disappointed that u could not adjust the soft flame

Just one misinformation.
Bics actually use butane gas, not the lighter fluid that the original Zippos use.
Even with my old palate I can taste lighter fluid when using my Zippo.
Thanks for commenting man. I am curious to what others taste. Do u let the flame burn a bit before touching the cigar? Or light it immediately
