"We should always try to visualize and anticipate success, but I had a moment of weakness." I came here for a food video. I received a food video, and free motivational therapy. Thank you, Chef John.
Chef John, I've always wanted to state this, that after years of watching and learning from your videos I've come to the conclusion that you must start teaching how to make a UA-cam video. Your videos are near perfection. They are entertaining, informative, and most importantly, to the point. So many video on UA-cam, though they may contain information that you really want, are filled with BS and the egotistical ramblings of their makers. Most are twice or even three times longer than necessary. Yours are short, sweet, and ultimately satisfying, just like your recipes. This is a technique you need to transmit to the world at large. You need to start a movement of better videos. If there was an Golden Globe or an Oscar for videos you'd get my vote. You are the Hitchcock of my video block. Keep up the good work and may the world take notice.
Whos watching this Thanksgiving 2022?? Last year I successfully deboned a whole turkey, stuffed and rolled it, then into the smoker. Thanks to you, Chef John! Smaller crowd this year, so I'll give this hasselback stuffed turkey breast a shot! It looks soo good....mmmm. Chef, I just adore your candor, humor, mistakes and political incorrectness! Hope this is moist moist moist!!
Just wanted to say this is the third year in a row I'm making this recipe and I'm so excited! It always comes out amazing and I've recommended it to loads of friends this year who are now having smaller Thanksgiving than usual. Guarantee they will all love it as much as I do!
I'm thankful for Chef John and this incredible recipe. I made it as shown, and it was crispy, delicious, and moistmoistmoist! It was infinitely better hydrated than any whole Thanksgiving turkey I've ever had. I bought a double breast and while separating, I actually filleted them by accident. However, I'm happy to report that it all held together when I didn't cut all the way through. Thanks for the inspiration and the laughs!
That is the best stuffing recipe , my wife's family has had it for at least 3 generation , that I know. we use this stuffing recipe every year in a hole turkey , I most try in a breast only , looks great . Thank John , great video .
Ok so I tried this yesterday!! I used two boneless breasts. Here’s how it went,One of them I was happy about. It was holding together decently but I still had to use twine to hold it together. The other breast I bought was completely falling apart so it was difficult to do what I wanted there. Skewers and twine was my go-to. Taste- amazing. I made sure to keep my stuffing extra moist as well as add some butter in each pocket. Then drizzled melted butter over it all before putting in the oven. It was a hit. Everyone loved it. It was definitely a piece of cake slicing this, and I feel like you can serve more with a boneless breast, but maybe just be aware this it’s going to be tricky to keep this together. Thanks for the amazing recipe. Can’t wait to do this every year
Thanks for the moment to talk about visualizing success. I've had a hard time here lately, and the last place I expected to help remind me of how to move forward was Food Wishes. Keep it up, bud.
Wow. Great idea Chef John. With circle peas and mashed potatoes with gravy, that looks like the best TV Dinner EVER! And being raised in the 60's, that equates to "Just like Mom used to make..." #1 option this Thanksgiving for me and my Ol' Lady.
I think they may have meant the standard shelled garden peas you see in many TV dinners and cafeteria menus, like the ones Chef had on his plate at the end of the video.
I made this using my mom’s potato/bread stuffing and the boned breast (boneless all that was available). It is delicious and easy to carve without the bone! Thanks for a great idea😘
Well after taking a turkey to a giant thanksgiving day party only to have my turkey eaten and devoured by guests my family and I were left craving thanksgiving dinner still and was actually thinking of roasting a turkey Breast only this recipe is a great idea and something I was considering. Thank you chef John
Hey John! I love this recipe, my only question, why did you only cook to 150 degrees? I would imagine that carry over cooking would account for maybe 5 extra degrees, but not the 15 needed to get it to a "safe" temperature. Have I been wrong all this time!?
I haven't been on this channel for years and I can't stand the fact that Chef John is talking so differently and .... punctuated. Still love this channel!!
I used to use a Hasselback camera when I was shooting landscape but switched to a Nikon when I stared shooting wildlife. I also remember watching Hasselback on Baywatch too..it was cool.
Duuuuuuuude! I don't care about your carving fail! That is the turkey breast I'm going for next week! Much love to you and yours and Happy Thanksgiving where ever you are!
Check out the recipe: www.allrecipes.com/Recipe/260996/Stuffed-Hasselback-Turkey-Breast/
Food Wishes where do you take the internal temperature? Thickest part of the sliced turkey or elsewhere?
This video made me adequately hydrated
😏😏

TRIGGERED
Adequately hydrated ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
You made me moist, moist and moist 😋😏
Who else says “En-Joy” at the end with Chef John?
How can you not love this guy??
I love this Turkey recipe, looks really delicious... Thank you

You’re welcome.

Scishow?

Put that on a t-shirt
PLEASE DON'T! Your offending my tender white ears.😋
Sure, at first, chef John made a mess of the turkey breast, but at least he made the moist of the situation.

Chef John smacking down the hard truth as always #MoistMoistMoist
Bramha's Astra, I have no idea. I've yet to meet one that didn't like the word though.
Damn straight
I think they assume it has sexual connotations and so don't like it used in a non-sexual format, insane isn't it?
Bramha's Astra they (millennials) think word "gullible" is obsolete xddd
I don't get it myself but here are the facts www.cosmopolitan.com/lifestyle/news/a41706/why-people-hate-word-moist/
That is the best stuffing recipe , my wife's family has had it for at least 3 generation , that I know. we use this stuffing recipe every year in a hole turkey , I most try in a breast only , looks great . Thank John , great video .

Chef John, your recipes are wonderful, and it's a pleasure listening to your witty comments. These videos always put a smile on my face.
That's why being a pessimist is great,
Either you're right
Or
You'll be pleasantly surprised
Finally, someone else who gets it
Preach
If being "right" about something bad makes you feel good, you might need to see a therapist. just sayin
Chef John, you never fail to impress!

My new favorite quote "moist moist moist" - Chef John 2017
Hey, Chef John! Could you do an updated version of your duck confit recipe? I've been thinking of doing it for this holiday season. Thanks!
Moist is good; moist is our friend! Never be afraid of offending anybody. That is how progress is made.
I literally LOLed at “I ain’t no hasselback girl.” Brilliant! 😂 😂 😂
Love your honesty👍🏼💕
Not a single Hasselhoff joke? What a let down.
Robert Anthony Pitera,
Chef John IS the David Hasselhoff who can pull this turkey recipe off.
He didnt want to break the surprise he was making it for the dinner for mr hasselhoff.
Made this for Thanksgiving. Used cornbread stuffing and made a roasting pan sauce with turkey bone broth. Mummmmm.
