Good lord this just explained a very influential person in my life and how living with their fixed mindset made me afraid of mistakes. Again, thank you!
She's right! I recognize these people almost immediately upon watching this video. Lots of musicians that I have auditioned are arrogant. They constantly talk about how great they are. I noticed that the arrogant ones are the ones who quit improving their skills and cannot take any kind of constructive criticism. This video was really eye opening for me!
Half of what you said about a fixed mindset applies to me! I thought this was normal and everyone was like that! You widened my field of view, so thank you
Damn you just blew my mind😂. Someone's fixed mentality definitely stuck to me and ive been insecure about myself and being seen as fixed when im not but kinda am, just thinking that way🤔 self realization. Thank you!
Thank you, Hazel, for adding this article to your UA-cam station. I have Dr. Carol Dweck's book and learning about a growth mindset changed my life for good.
Now i understood that problem is not me but the people in the school who are around me with fixed mindset . Whereas in tuition i m very good with people who have growth mindset.
I found myself some of those persons, people usually tend to drop me them private issues pretty soon after meeting me and I realized is for two fundamental things. Listening + Non Judging, when they talk about problem, mental issues, tendency to suicide, people don't want to listen the same thing : "Love your life, you good, I love you" or at least I wouldn't like, instead I just listen and do some jokes like: "So I am glad you failed that time because that Way I meet you" and you can feel the change
What you're talking about sounds eerily familiar to "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle. However, you could add more material and insight in a followup video by reading that book.
So, is it for being among the people with the fixed mindset or those with the growing one? I don't think it is going to work if you are surrounded with the fixed minded ones.
He basically just described amorality. You're not aware of what's good or bad, you're just there. That is highly attractive and highly configurable. Especially around lower hanging fruit groups of people. I like the advice, it's good. But that's what it is
It Seems Most People I Know Come To Me With Their Problems ! And Seek An Opinion From Me I don't Know Why Maybe Because I Take The Time To Listen ! But In My Head I Say Do You Really Want My Opinion!
I can't make people laugh. what's the opposite of being funny? ...not funny? anywho I'm an easy target to be the butt of others jokes. I'm fine with it. gives me some kind of attention. I know most people would say get away from a toxic person that does that to you. but I need attention. I'm hurting on the inside cause I'm so lonely
the only attention you really need is the attention of your true self your persona if you can keep yourself good companies give him treat when you both succed and forgive yourself when you f**k up then you wouldn't feel the necessity to seek attention.
It's easy to distinguish the traits in people we don't want to know, but much harder to recognise those same traits in ourselves.
Alasdair McC well said.

You put words to my thougts. What's frightening to learn is that the crabs in a bucket mentality exists across family ties and friendships.
Yes! This is why independence is a wonderful thing.
You can’t make a mistake. Words to live by.
Don't make a single mistake. Make lots of them.

Fear of failure!!! Maybe that need a lot of courage and knowledge and to be among the right people. ,,,💕
