Linda, how thrilled I was to see your old Christmas ornaments. I'm 73 now and about 60+ years ago my three brothers and I were home sick from school. To entertain us, our Mother pulled out the Styrofoam balls, beads, pins, and tassels and we made ornaments just like the ones you shared. I still have them and they mean so much to me. I can still see us sitting at the table in our pajamas showing off our artistic abilities. 😊 😊 Love the pheasant prints!
That’s such a lovely memory, I’m so glad you still have your ornaments and the memory of making them with your family! I did not appreciate them when I was young like I do now!
I loved seeing your beaded ornaments, I have 8 beaded ornaments my SIL made and sent me in the early 70's when she and my husband brother were stationed in the military in Germany. I took great care to store them, I love them. I love your beautiful dress and shoes you are planning to wear to your son's wedding. Exciting times ahead for your family. Happy Sunday afternoon, enjoy your day. 🌻🍂🌼🍁🤎
Hi Linda, I am 74yrs old and have been unwillingly " transplanted " from the north east to the west coast. Children and grandchildren all moved here and I could not stay a whole country away from them by myself. I know that my spirit is a New Englander and that is one of the reasons I enjoy your channel so much! I still can see the seasons change and I enjoy the lifestyle that I so long for. Thank you for sharing your views, ideas and trips with us, I very much anticipate each Sunday with you! Linda fr Summerlin, Las Vegas ❤
I love the old ornaments that have real memories attached to them. But I found I wasn't using mine on my Christmas Tree so I attached them all to a plain green wreath instead. Now I hang the wreath where ever I want and I get to enjoy the old ornaments again.
Linda, thank you for this channel, my absolute favorite. It’s timeless, thoughtful, nostalgic, heart warming. “Kindred spirits” is the perfect name for all of us who enjoy and appreciate you sharing your beautiful life with us.
Your soon to be daughter-in-law is gorgeous! I can only imagine how stunning she will be on the wedding day. Good luck to both your son and new daughter.
Ahh! Couldn’t wait to press that button to watch you this morning. Such a chock full video Linda. You always have so much to offer. I love your format and every segment is so worth it to us viewers. You made my Sunday! Enjoy yours! Relax🤗
I love the pheasant pictures and plate. What great finds! I mentioned I've been looking for pheasant figurines. I found a sparkly gold pair recently that weren't quite what I wanted, but I bought them and removed the glitter with a soft brush and then applied some Rub and Buff on them to make them look older and not so shiny. I am happy with the way they look now. Watching your videos has helped me think outside the box.🙂 I love all your videos especially the ones when you are shopping at local stores and antique shops.
Wow, another amazing video. :) The pheasant prints were my favorite. You're right about the colors working anywhere in your home. I feel very privileged to be able to see your home and parts of your "life"! Thank you so much Linda. I can't wait for next Sunday. Have a wonderful week. HUGS
At Thanksgiving, I always have fall decor in the dining/living room, but Christmas decor everywhere else. I love fall decor, and I really don’t like to rush Christmas, but I do this so the grandkids can see my Christmas village at least twice. Because it takes a lot of time to put up all the houses, trees, figures, etc.
How I love Sundays! Sitting down to watch your relaxing and inspirational videos is my favorite thing. I was delightedly distracted by the birds in the feeder while you were looking at your vintage ornaments!
Oh Linda!! Thank you so much for sharing-we truly ARE Kindred Spirits in countless ways! I just wanted to express my heartfelt appreciation and admiration for all that you do and share! You are a greatly anticipated part of my week. ❤❤❤
I so look forward to my visit with your post each week. I lived in western NY for a few years and loved the area. It’s been many years ago, but I would like to recapture the slower pace my mind was in. Taking time to be creative and drink in the ambience. Working towards that peace and you have inspired me to chip away at it!
Thank you so much for the kind words, and I hope you can find some time to reconnect with your creative / slower paced side! I have to work at it myself many times.
Loved your thrifting trip, hope you do that again and film some things we can order from them. Love everything you do decorating your home it is beautiful and gives us so many ideas. Thank You.
I love all the projects u have going on. I find they are therapeutic and renders a sense of accomplishment. Linda, I love how u mix a little play time in . Enjoy this beautiful time of the year!
Ing. I am. 82. And I remember making that type of ornament. So amazing I hope you can repair them. They are so precious and part of your history. Yes they were kits. So true. Made them sadly did not save them. As you have
Hi Linda - I was born in Portland, Maine and raised in New Castle, NH. We raised our kids in Portsmouth and Stratford. I know that’s quite a bit more east of you. We moved to Florida about 15 years ago (uggh). My husband has been pushing to move back, but our kids and grandkids are here. I found you about 2 months ago and after watching your videos, we decided it’s definitely time to come home. We’re anxious to start looking after the holidays. Thank you for sharing and for reminding me where we should be. I love your videos and you are such an inspiration. Many blessings dear heart. Know that you are loved and appreciated. ❤️
so fortunate to have shops like that in New England, here in North Wales they are few and far between. I would have been in heaven following your footsteps to all of the shops. Lovely film and thank you for sharing
Such lovely shops, I saw a few things I would love to have. You are so right about the pheasant pics, they fit right into your home. Enjoyed the video, hope you have a wonderful week!
I have been following you for years and think it is the first time a write a comment. I am a twice Cancer survivor and dealing with it again and have been practicing slow living for years. I do love how you live slow living and how you enjoy the little things like cutting fresh flowers and journaling. Your love for nature is contagious. It is a treat to find someone so real that enjoys God’s gifts. You look stunning on those photos by the way. I will admit that in our Colonial home we have copy many of your ideas. We are a transplant from Florida and now we live in North Carolina. I lived in Chestnut Hill , Boston, MA for years when I was in College and know that New England is the most beautiful place in the world. Would love to see a series on “How to decorate a Colonial Home and honor history”. Those ornaments are gorgeous❤️. Wishing you lots of sucess in your new store. Lisa Sagardia
You just have the "magical New England touch" in your heart and soul. Thank you so much for bringing all its unique "warmth" and "coldness" back to me again. 30 years in Germany, and now 20 in CA, but i miss it and love it still. God bless you!
As a faithful subscriber, I can never get enough of your channel. You put so much into your weekly videos and that means so much to us who are amazed at your gifted ideas and decorating. You love what you do and it shows.❤️👏🏻😊🍁🌾
Thank you Linda that’s wonderful. I really enjoyed that. Your videos always make my day considering all the things that are going around the world. It’s good to just get away for the moment I love antique shops I haven’t been to any for a long time, but I still love to go I haven’t really gone out of state or a country so it’s nice to travel with you and see what the other world looks like. Peace quiet thank you again for sharing. I always look forward to your videos on Sundays, I love your ideas. I’m a lot like you in a lot of different ways. God bless take care.
If anyone likes the "vintage" looking pilgrim and turkey candles, the Vermont Country Store usually has them. Reproduction Christmas candles, too. Thanks, Linda, and the wedding will be lovely!
Oh my goodness, Linda, once again, your wonderful content is exactly what I needed. I love to journal, but I haven’t written in quite a few months. Specifically, I misplaced my journal probably with my lost car keys lol. And I do beat myself up from time to time when I fail to meet my own expectations. But when you said you had not journaled since July, I had to smile. I really need to ease up on myself a bit. But I do plan on writing in my journal some more. I’ll keep it by my chair that I always sit in as I enjoy my morning coffee. Because this time of year is so inspiring with the holidays coming up, the beautiful fall weather, the gifting and decorating ideas are just flowing through my mind. And I also want to write down the wonderful things that I have experience with friends and family.
Speaking of phone pranks, I grew up in Queens and in the late 60's we would look in the phone book which was huge, and call a person with the last name of "Whitehead", and ask for so and so Blackhead, and they would get so mad and we'd say "sorry, I have the wrong PIMPLE! We'd be laughing so hard we could hardly get the words out! Lol On a serious note, you live in such a beautiful area! Thanks for taking us along!
Love your outfit for wedding dress shopping. You have such good taste. I was surprised to see your beaded fruits! I bought some of the same at a Goodwill store years ago to use as Christmas decorations. Have a great Sunday!
Hi Linda, your future DIL is so pretty. I loved seeing the photo of you from the photo shoot, back when, you looked stunning, still do by the way! You always manage to give us so much in one video, making your videos so entertaining. I enjoyed this video very much! TFS! ❤
I have never seen silver dollars growing in the wild. Thank you for that. It would have taken 7 hours for me to get home too, stopping at all those shops! What fun! Winter is on the way.
Hello Ben & Linda, loved all the stories you took us to. Thank you for asking if they ship. I am gathering my information for a trip in your area. Conway NH is on my list. Have a good week. A hug for Willow hope she is doing well. 0:05
Your daughter in law is so beautiful! Can't wait to see the dress!! We also did those prank phone calls when we were kids, we'd ask: "Is your refrigerator running?? Then catch it before it goes away" So silly but we would laugh hysterically. I love your pictures as a model! I wish I had those lovely consignment shops in my area...Nothing around here. Beautiful video as always Linda. Thank you so much!
The thrifting and antiquing was so much fun! Those pictures will be perfect in your home. I also loved the old ornaments. I have a few my Mom made and I treasure them! Your Sunday morning videos are such a peaceful way to start my day. Thank you for them!!!!
Thank you Linda for a wonderful video. Loved the stunning scenery and antique shopping.my favorite from your shopping was the plate. It was so pretty. Take care.❤
When I was still in my small house, I had a huge oak tree behind the garage. In the fall the squirrels would 'harvest' the acorns and some of the acorns would fall on the roof of the garage. Kind of nice memory of 'home' since I moved to a condo.
Ahhh you went to my favorite bakery! We have been going there for years- every time I camp up in that area it is a must do! There’s always room for their cupcakes!
My mom puts out a huge bowl of the beaded and sequined ornaments at Christmas every year. Some belonged to my grandmother and many belonged to my great aunt. I loved seeing yours!!
Linda, thank you for another great video. You put so much time and creative effort each week into creating these masterpieces for you audience. I love everything that you do from your country store shopping, to recipes, decorating, gardening, and tours through your quaint New England towns that I will never get to see. What a 36:32 minute retreat from life in New York City. Looking forward to your Thanksgiving and Christmas videos. These videos are testimony to your gifted and thoughtful personality. I would love to know, on the average, how much time do you dedicate each week in creating your video craft? God bless your "kindred spirit". Robert.
You always find the things I love. Question I have is how do you clean burned foods stuck to the Dutch oven. I just bought one and not sure how to keep it looking nice on the inside.
Loved everything about this video! Congratulations! Your future daughter-in-law is beautiful! Great finds! I love vintage pheasant items! The soup looks delicious! Thanks for sharing so many things and memories. Your Autumn videos are exactly what I needed…🧡🍁☕️🍲🙏🍂
Hi Linda !! Your drive home was fun, I would have enjoyed all the shops too! Your soup looks delish, love this soup season ! I have ornaments that I needlepoint 35 years ago and never finished putting them together ..maybe a retirement project yay! I had to giggle how you store your ornaments, surprise coming from our put together Linda, actually glad to see your not perfect allll the time. Blessings for a great week , hugs friend ~~ Paula
I also collect the black eyed Susans centers after the petals fall off the brown fuzzy centers are perfect to go with the silver dollars. Love your beautiful finds! Happy Shopping!
I loved that pheasant plate! Also, congrats to your son and his lovely bride. Thanks for another wonderful video. I always look forward to Sunday loaning coffee while watching your videos!
Those sequin/beaded ornaments brought back memories. I remember making ornaments like that with my Aunt and my mom in the 60’s. My Aunt was into crafting and found the materials. We made them on styrofoam balls. An odd memory- we used smaller pins to attach the sequins to the styrofoam . They looked like the normal pins used in sewing, but were much smaller. I haven’t thought about that in decades. Thanks for stirring up those fun memories Linda!
Love when you take us shopping. I’d rather not see any of the places if they are quick shots though, literally makes me nauseous🤢🕊️ Thank you for all of the incredible content and creativity you share🍂🌞🍁
Another enjoyable video. How fun to stop at the shops on your route. I need to take time to do this more often. 😊 It was special for your future daughter in law to include you in the dress shopping. ♥️ I'm sure you're looking so forward to the wedding. Love all your beautiful finds and I'm looking forward to your holiday decorating, crafting, etc. 😊
I'm also a transferware lover! Last fall after suffering the effects of Hurricane Idalia, I stumbled upon a treasure trove of Masons Vista pink! I was so happy I could hardly contain myself! It was a fantastic price, someone just wanted a quick sale I guess. I felt it was a gift from God after the hurricane stress! I've wanted red transferware for years to use at Christmas!!
Thank you again and again, for these calming ,interesting , Sunday morning videos . The antique store where you bought your pheasant pictures,I saw a big weathered sign w/ Cow and I think it just said Milk. Immediately,I thought of your little red barn/ shed that you just repainted, Thought how cute it would look on the side.I have often wondered, why you don’t use pheasant feathers in your Fall decor. I have a New England Saltbox home, and I’m never without them on display. I have two fully stuffed( Taxidermy) Pheasants, plus dozens of feathers also. I use them for Fall decorating w/ my many Foxes, and also for Christmas decorating..I have to admit,I was shop owner, and acquired many through wholesale. Coming from the country, with 5 Brothers growing up,we were never w/0 a few Pheasants on the table. I remember as a little girl, sneaking the tail feathers,in my hands,so they didn’t get thrown away. I think there is where my love for Pheasants began.I think you might have me,planning a trip, back out East through NH .🥰🍁🍁🪶🪶🪶 Have wonderful weekend!
That would look cute in the sugar shack! Oh I do have pheasant feathers in several places in our home! I love them. I use them in urns, wreaths, swags, etc. So fun to collect. I have faux ones too. Your items sound beautiful !
Linda, how thrilled I was to see your old Christmas ornaments. I'm 73 now and about 60+ years ago my three brothers and I were home sick from school. In the 1970s as a young married woman I made these for gifts and for our tree, many or which I still use. Yours are truly exceptional!
@@maryalicehornsby7713 I used to do that too and still have them to this day

Wow! I have bought sequined fruit quite a while ago. Probably paid around 4-5 dollars a piece.
You were in my neck of the woods. So many great shops in the Conway/Ossipee area.
Linda, your future DIL is so beautiful and you looked absolutely STUNNING in those photos. Can't wait to see the Thanksgiving tree lit and decorated!
I loved that pheasant plate! Also, congrats to your son and his lovely bride. Thanks for another wonderful video. I always look forward to Sunday loaning coffee while watching your videos!
Love New England this time of year😊
I recently heard that an over abundance of acorns means a very harsh winter. So stock up & be ready. ❤ Thank you for a wonderful video.😊🎄⛄️
I’d rather not see any of the places if they are quick shots though, literally makes me nauseous🤢🕊️
Thank you for all of the incredible content and creativity you share🍂🌞🍁
Love your videos! So relaxing & beautiful! Thanks for sharing🤩
I found your channel a few months ago, I love, love, love it!
I'm so glad you found me!
This channel is a vibe 🙌🏽
Amazing video…I loved every minute of it…thank you Linda!!
My grandma made this type of ornament as well and had little kits for the young grandkids to make their own ornaments. Nice memories.
My mother was in a sewing club and she made ornaments like yours. Treasures for my tree each year. Beautiful video.
Thank you for taking us along on your antique shopping. Loved it. The pheasants are gorgeous.
Enjoyed your video, ty for sharing everything.
