These are two people that you can rely on to bring us the best of the English countryside. I can't think of a more relaxing way to enjoy a winter's evening.
Beautifully said! K&J transport us from any worries to a blissful escape. How lovely was the town and little store! I love how you romanticise locations but also share the history. It was a delightful distraction to a charming village whilst recovering from surgery. Thank you xx
I think the reason people comment on you as a couple is because you treat each other with respect and loving kindness. It is so rare these days. Blessings!🎄❤️🎄
It’s true-respect and loving kindness shine through so clearly and create such a warm and inspiring connection. It’s a beautiful thing to witness, especially in a world where it feels increasingly rare. 🎄
Wow!!! You looked at the very landscape the Bronte sisters saw and walked, amazing! The village was quaint, frozen in time. Thanks for braving the elements for us!
It’s as if the two of you are out of a storybook brought to life as characters in a fairytale of the beautiful lands and architecture that surrounds you. I could definitely see a children’s book with the both of you as main characters. Such a lovely couple that brings joy to those of us all around the world with your gentle souls. 🎄✨
This was wonderful. I live in West Yorkshire and have been to Haworth many times. The wildness and rough terrain of the moors would have provided inspiration to the Brontë sisters when writing their novels. Wind and rain add to the atmosphere and history surrounding the village. But I have been there when it’s warm and sunny and bursting with pretty flowers everywhere. I’m so pleased that you like this part of Yorkshire and you braved the weather in God’s own county. And what about Haworth’s lovely station and the steam train. Doesn’t get better than that! Thank you both for sharing ❤❤
Haworth truly is a gem, and it’s easy to see how the wild beauty of the moors inspired the Brontë sisters. The weather, whether dramatic or sunny, adds its own charm to the village. The station and steam train are such a nostalgic treat, capturing the timeless essence of this special part of Yorkshire. It really doesn’t get better than God’s own county!
@@b.m.t.h.3961 The Tenant of Wildfell Hall is a favorite of mine - the book & movie with Tara Fitzgerald & Maggie Smith’s son, Toby Stephens. My favorite is Jane Eyre - the book along with all the many film versions.

This was so beautifully magical. I really needed it. Things in the US are chaotic to me so jumping right into the holiday season in England seems imminently appropriate. Everything was simply enchanting.
It's so beautiful and cozy, but as you said, we romanticize things. Life wasn't so beautiful and cozy back then at all ! Thank you for the tour ! Enjoyed it so much.
Love how these English villages are so well maintained, restored, beautified with just a touch of modernisation ensuring they retain their unique character. Enjoyable excursion into a bygone era! ❤❤
The short life is 24 years. But I like that this place has not been lost for centuries. Once they just started to populate it and build houses, and choosing this place people were happy. Then there were dark times, difficult times, now again a place to visit. This is life!
Oh my, Kirsten, you could open a travel agency! You and Joerg have visited so many wonderful places and have researched the information on the places. Just fabulous!❤
Gosh this was great!!! Rain = Bronte, sunshine = Austen, more rain = Dickens! Got it! 😅 Thank you for the lovely tour! Kirstin you forgot to get a mushroom! Can’t wait for your decorating video.

So so glad you like it - the shop was one of my favourites ever, it's so special and beautiful. Haworth is definitely a very special place and the church at dawn with its gorgeous windows was wonderful.

I’m so glad that you shared the information about the sanitation at the time. It was believed that it played a big part as n the deaths on Emily and Anne. I’m so happy that you shared this journey with us! Thank you so much!!
We are so happy you like it! The Brontë did have clean water at the parsonage (there were only two houses in Haworth with clean spring water and the parsonage was one of them). Tragically the famous Brontë sisters died of tuberculosis and sadly penicillin wasn't discovered then.

We stayed at that B and B in 2017. At that time it was called Wilson's. They were just about to sell it to the Weavers. Great to know it's still in operation! We had the room that over sees the church and parsonage. It was great to see the moon over both places during the night. The village looks wonderful! Thank you for the visit!
Kirsten and Jörg, your video was such a joy to watch! Haworth has changed so much for the better, than when I last visited it on a school trip, back in the late 70s, when it was just a little hardly known village :-) The Bronte house museum was amazing, as it had been like stepping back in time to another world, as was our wander around the adjoining graveyard, which you both felt as well. During our week long school history trip, we also visited the ruins of Wycollar Hall, which is believed to be Charlotte Bronte‘s basis for Ferndean Manor in her book, as she had no doubt seen it on the way to her stay at Gawthorpe Manor, which was 12 miles from the village of Howarth. Sadly, on Charlotte‘s last visit to Gawthorpe Manor, in January 1855, after roaming the surrounding countryside, she was believed to have caught a chill, which she never recovered from, and passed at the end of March in this same year. As students of the Industrial Revolution in England, we visited many of these forgotten areas and buildings, including a still working cotton mill, where workers still used sign language, because of the noise from the machines, which were all covered in white cotton particles, which now Health and Safety would ban! This particular area, was the heart of the Industrial Revolution, which had gone onto shape the current modern world, as we now know it 🙂 Again, thanking you both for posting this beautiful video of Howarth! Sending you both all the best, from an ex-Pat now living in Germany :-)
@@SumerRoze Thank you for reading my long post! During this week long school trip, stepping back into history, and following the trail of the origin of the Industrial Revolution, which first took place in England, we as a group trudged for miles throughout the wild Northern English countryside, just to visit an abandoned mill, in the middle of nowhere, took a trip down a still working coal mine at the time, with the current miners working there, which we spoke to, or to observe an abandoned 30 ft chimney, just sitting in a farmer‘s field, which my history teacher, had proudly bought! Even at the time, we had thought our history teacher was eccentric, (as he kept an original historic 19th Century, light Calvary officer’s sword in his classroom cupboard, which he would brandish around the classroom at us, to make sure that we would be paying attention in his class, probably unknown to the Headmaster at the time, as it was a weapon!). In the end, we all passed our A level history exam with flying colours! Thinking back, we all need passionate teachers like this, in our education system 🙂
Well, that did it! I had been dragging my feet a bit getting on with Christmas decorating. Now, after this wonderfully uplifting Christmas tour, I'm ready and motivated ❤. Thank you both so very much, you really take away my blues and bring in the sunshine 🌞
You both are such a delight to watch. Thank you so much for starting my early morning out in Panama 🇵🇦. Miss winter scenes now that I live in the hot tropics 😅
I took my family there back in June 2015! I loved walking down that hill! We stayed just outside of that street and I was too lazy to walk up that hill so we got a taxi to the top of that hill and walked all the way down shopping!!!! I am British and regret not seeing more of my Motherland! I now live in the states and would happily go back in time to that place again! We rode on the steam train too. Loved to see where the Bronte's lived. All so beautiful! If you get the chance if you haven't already done so, you need to go check out Beatrix Potter's home!!! Such a lovely home and a joy to walk around! I am a fan of hers and her stories!!!!!
What is so touching? Is the stones that the people walk on have many stories to tell of people who have gone by? The memories, the lives, the children growing laughing just every special moment of life. Now new generations.😊
Such an interesting Village and lovely to see the Church in which my 6th Great Grandparents were married in, really brings things to life, they were lucky lived to their mid 70's.

As students of the Industrial Revolution in England, we visited many of these forgotten areas and buildings, including a still working cotton mill, where workers still used sign language, because of the noise from the machines, which were all covered in white cotton particles, which now Health and Safety would ban!
This particular area, was the heart of the Industrial Revolution, which had gone onto shape the current modern world, as we now know it 🙂
Again, thanking you both for posting this beautiful video of Howarth!
Sending you both all the best, from an ex-Pat now living in Germany :-)
I am ready to read your history book of tales!
@@SumerRoze :-). I did send you a long email, but it has been sadly lost :-(.
Sending you all the best from Germany :-)

You both are such a delight to watch. Thank you so much for starting my early morning out in Panama 🇵🇦. Miss winter scenes now that I live in the hot tropics 😅
Thank you so much!
Absolutely Gorgeous !! Thank you for the trip !!
You are most welcome!
Love your videos so much, I would never have guessed you were German as your English is so amazing, no accent at all. 🙂
For such a quiet little village, I was surprised at how noisy the restaurant was. The village was beautiful! Thank you for sharing it!🍂🍁
Yes, it was very busy! The villagers told us that Haworth has really blossomed after Covid and lockdown which is great for the pubs and local shops.
They have visited Beatrice Potter and you
Will find it somewhere in their vlogs. Magical of course!
What is so touching? Is the stones that the people walk on have many stories to tell of people who have gone by?
The memories, the lives, the children growing laughing just every special moment of life. Now new generations.😊
Спасибо Вам большое за экскурсию. Очень красиво . Я наверное в прошлой жизни жила в Англии.
Such an interesting Village and lovely to see the Church in which my 6th Great Grandparents were married in, really brings things to life, they were lucky lived to their mid 70's.

Haworth is definitely on my bucket list, not just because of it's quintessential English charm but because of the Brontes. Thank you for bringing it to us, especially at Christmas time.❤
