Part of what is happening with Linkin Park is that the other members are still trying to find if they still want to go on the stage to perform again. The one that is having the hardest time is Rob because he is really shy and a very private person.
Yeah for sure. It's not the easiest thing to do when you lose not only a member of your band, but with as long as they had been together, a family member, a brother. And having that void missing is devastating.
The lyrics to Given Up was written by Chester just after getting out of rehab in 2005. Chester wrote the lyrics to Given Up to tell the fans what his feelings were during and after his divorce from his first wife. No body could ever sing that song with the emotions needed to do that song the justice it deserves. Linkin Park didn't have Given Up or Breaking the Habit sang during the tribute concert because of the problems Chester had with his mental health and his past substance abuse problems. During the tribute concert they did show some of the best/funniest clips of Chester just being his self.
I actually interpret a positive message from this song. I think its about the fear of staying in a situation that you know is bad, and having the strength to move past it and start again. Lots of times people stay in situations that are bad because its familiar or comfortable, unable or unwilling to end it due to fear of the unknown, or being alone. Maybe its a bad relationship. Maybe its a bad job. Maybe its cutting a negative influence from your life. Either way, change is scary, but this makes me feel hope.
@@angeldiaz7607 It's great when Chester shows his versatility as a musician in a song, going from singing to yelling and to screaming all in a 3 minute period
Mike's least favorite music video is the One Step Closer music video because it was directed by an adult movie director and his hair. Mike's least favorite hair color/style is the bright red hair color in the One Step Closer music video.
Yeah I do remember hearing about that video and I can see that for sure. Red was an odd choice, but it kind of fit the vibe of the video, although I'm not sure if Mike had the red hair before or for the video itself
@@AceofBadeReacts he had it red for about 4 or 5 months then he dyed it blue for the Crawling music video. My favorite Mike hair style/color is the hair from Papercut. Black hair with dark blue at the ends and 3 small red stripes in the front. No one in Linkin Park changed their hair as much as Chester did. Chester got bored with his hair very quickly and changed it just about every month.
Great reaction this album was great but also weird at the same time. If you listened to this from the beginning to end you almost don't notice the track changes. Also Mike has said he would not do a hologram and I also remember him saying later about the tribute concert that most of the singer's sucked or were not that great.
Yeah the album moves seemlessly throughout each song. I can see both sides to doing a hologram. I know Mike was not 100% at the tribute concert. He vented on his Post Traumatic album about it.
@@AceofBadeReacts I would say all of them 😁 They have a live concert video from last year so you can pick songs from that concert. But for me personally are New divide, With you, Lost Given up, Breaking the Habit, From the inside and Papercut

That makes sense too. I didn't even think about the fact they weren't played at the concert

Great reaction, thanks, i love all their songs, but 'from the inside' has a special place in my heart 😊❤
You know I don't know if I've ever seen the video for it
@@AceofBadeReacts it is great, or the live version on rock am ring 2004 is even better🤗
Rock AM Ring 2004 is on the list already. I'm sure I will get to it this year
From The Inside is tied for my favorite song with QWERTY, the way Chester switches from screaming to singing in both songs is AMAZING 🔥

Chester's ballads hold so much power.

A solid song. I forgot it was on the 3rd Transformers movie
