You have such a beautiful, loving community! I can't tell you how emotionally touched I was to see everyone pull together! And your family, helping others and the boy's cleaning up the yards. And you and Nick helping out your friends and neighbors! You my friend, and your family are beautiful, loving souls. And I'm so glad that your are all safe!
I am so grateful to the father for keeping you safe! His mighty hand is in everything we do! There are customers on my rural mail route who were in Florida they lost their home and will be returning to Illinois for the time being.
@@tinawindham6958 I saw her in the post office yesterday. She said they had 4 foot of water in their house and at the bottom it was feet of mud. They weren't able to get a hitch so they could pull a trailer home either. She said they left half their clothes and most of their belongings. She isn't sure if they will ever go back
I lived in Naples for 5 years and I am heartbroken for my friends and church family down there. All were safe, but some have lost their livelihoods. Some ones I know in Ft. Myers had total losses as far as property. We were living in Naples when Irma hit in 2017. So glad you guys were safe. I thought maybe you were going to be, as we have another friends in Bradenton area and they had no damage besides vegetation. We were thinking and praying for you guys. Hurricanes are no joke. Someone is always going to suffer. 💜🙏🙌✝️😘
You truly are all so blessed to be a part of such an amazing church community, who were there to support each other through this intense storm. How comforting for you that there was this safe haven to go to, to help keep your families safe. And the rallying of everyone post storm with cleanup and providing assistance to aide those in need is inspiring. 😢Thank you for sharing your experience. God bless 😊❤️
I am so impressed by your community helping each other. I live in Virginia Beach and we lost power here. The winds were around 65 mph and wind gusts 80mph. Some shingles came off my daughter's roof and their skylight leaked on the bed. I thought about you the entire time it was hitting your area. So happy you came out ok. I am so proud of your boys for cleaning their grandparents yard like little men. They are amazing. Prayers of gratitude that no one was hurt.
My love and prayers were going up, and still are, for all affected. I am grateful that your family was spared any traumatic damage on your properties. Thank you for your service to your community. We are in everything together. You and Nick are a beautiful example of allowing God to work through us! Blessings to ALL! ❤
Thank God everyone is ok..we live in Lakeland and we got hit pretty hard and I have a cousin who was hurt pretty bad in Ft. Myers so prayers for him..thankfully we have power and just lots of limbs and trees down but house is solid! Stay safe!
You have been been on my mind, and your wonderful service to others is so kind. I'm so relieved that your family is safe. Your church community is wonderful.
So glad to hear you all are OK! We live in the panhandle and went through hurricane Michael. After all of our years here in Florida, that was the worst. So much devastation. We can definitely relate. So great that you have a church community to rally together and help others. We had the same and it’s a blessing for sure!
I was so worried about your family. I am in the middle of South Carolina and we really dodged Ian. Our beaches got hit and piers gone. We had rain and wind. Prayers to everyone in Florida. 🙏❤️🙏
I am so happy y'all are good!! When I was listening to the reports and I heard Sarasota my heart stilled and I said Lynette outloud (got a strange look, lol). My prayers as well as many more have been answered. Thank you Lord Jesus for protecting our brother, sister and children. God Bless and HUGZZZ!
Our family was praying for you all! So glad to watch this update! We will continue to pray for you all and your community as you continue the process of cleaning up and restoring your community around you! It was so beautiful and brought me to tears to watch your church community come together and help one another and the whole community around them! That's what it's about, being the hands and feet of Jesus! 💗
My mother lives in Venice and most of their community was lost. Her house was spared though. All around is devastation. So sad and no one thinks it will happen to them. However, it is amazing to see the “helpers” come to life and shine. Neighbors helping neighbors.
Thank you for updating us. What a blessing to know that you and your family are safe. It's wonderful to see your church pull together but also to witness how those of you who weren't hit as hard are helping others in need. Little Oakland looked tired but I'm sure nobody sleeps well when you aren't home or when there are concerns on your mind. God bless all of you in Florida.
So glad you all are safe! We survived as well here in Bradenton with very minimal damage🙏🙏🙏 We moved here from Ohio a little over two years ago, so this was our first Hurricane and I will say, it was terrifying!! The uncertainty of it was the worst!! We lost power on Wednesday morning at 7:49am and it came back on at 7:04pm🙏🙏🙏 We were so very blessed considering the catastrophic damage that our neighbors further south received😔 My heart breaks for each and every one of those people! I can’t even wrap my brain around what they are going through…. Take care Lynette!!
So happy Pinecraft and my family were spared of much damage. Many had been without power for a few days, but their roots being Amish kicks in. I never want to live in a total electric house. Sorry for those who have lost lives, homes, possessions, and jobs. One cousin and hubby, both nurses, lost everything and the Fawcett hospital, where they work, lost their roof. God bless all with peace and assistance. Glad you and community are safe. God bless your church, Detwiler's, and those that are serving, cleaning, and rebuilding. Greetings from GA, Karen Yoder
Been praying. I lived and lost everything thru hurricane Harvey. I swam out with my 1 year old grandson and 16 year old son. Our town was about 80% under water. We were never in the cone or even thought of in the middle of nite changed to late to get out. It happens. So thankful for total stranger's coming from every where to help. So glad y'all are safe. Great community coming together. Your community will be stronger ours got closer and made friends for life.
Yes, they definitely can change overnight. Katrina did and we had that day to get out. I feel for people with pets bc it’s not a gray area…you love your pet and don’t want to leave them so you stay with them. Sometimes they let pets go to shelters after seeing people on the causeway with their pets coming out of New Orleans was horrible.
Glad you'll are safe. We live in central Florida and we where very blessed we just lost power for 4 days no damage. We went to Georgia after 46 years living in Florida and hurricane Charley we wanted to get out of the storm path. Praying for south west Florida.
So thankful that you and your family are okay! 👍 Definitely thought about you and your family and prayed for you guys🙏 We are also in Florida but more South so fortunately we didn't receive the brunt of the storm. Praying for all those affected by this hurricane and it's aftermath. It's such a blessing to have a wonderful church community like the one you have. God bless 🙏❤️
I live in Sarasota, and even though we aren't destroyed like Fort Myers and Sanibel, we still got it pretty bad for Sarasota. The Storm was quite scary(Just getting the outer eye wall)
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I'm so glad you are doing ok. Also so wonderful how your church congregation jumped into action for members and others! God always provides!! God Bless!!🤗 ✝️
I live in N. Sarasota and we stay in our church but the power went off at 6 pm and was back on by 1 am. It's crazy how we can not stop watching what's going on outside while such a thing is happening. I was born here so I've seen many hurricanes but this was the one we were most worried about. I feel bad for those down south and once again Sarasota was spared the worst of a hurricane. We are blessed. Happy to see all is well with you and your family. God bless.
It's nice to see community coming together during this trying time. I live in Plant City, and we are so blessed. I work in a skilled nursing facility and ended up spending the night along with many of my coworkers so that the resident can be cared for. This whole situation makes you realize how we should not take anything for granted. So glad you all are ok. Take care.
I’m so glad you guys are doing good! I prayed so hard for you and your family.. and well, Florida in general! My church has been praying for all who were in the path of Ian and those affected thereafter. We will continue to pray for everyone. I’m glad you posted a video for awareness but also to show us what happens when a community comes together, in the midst of a natural disaster, to help one another! ♥️🌺🌈 Bless everyone involved! 🙏🏻🤍
Yes, their community with their church is amazing!💯 A little jealous of that...~.~ And I also appreciate Lynette's documentation of the storm in her area, since I don't like watching the news. Thankful that they're doing fine!🍃🙌
I am so amazed at the fellowship, love, kindness, generosity in your Mennonite community. You all are the true epitome of love thy neighbor and Christianity. I’m so glad you were all safe from the devastating storm. Praise the Lord! Thank you for sharing.
I lived right at the Pensacola Fl/Alabama line when Hurricane Ivan hit, years ago.. I worked for a local TV station in Pensacola at the time. And went around with the Red Cross filming relief efforts in hard hit areas, as well as interviews, etc of the power crews that came as far as Canada. These are the heroes, all the churches, relief agencies, firefighters that come from all over the US, and power crews. It affects everyone the same, rich and poor. I am so glad you guys are doing good! Thanks for keeping us updated! ❤
So happy you all are safe and took precautions. I am from Florida and been here 63 years. This was the worst I have seen and been through. I am further inland so not as bad here. A lot of damage tho. We had so much rain. We lost power for 4 days. Prayers for everyone going through this time. ❤️
Praise God everyone is safe. Thank you for this update and prayers for everyone that had major damages and for all those who were injured or lost loved ones. Prayers for Florida. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I watch a handful of people from Florida. You're the first to post aftermath of Ian so thank you for that. I was watching a few "storm chasers" here on YT bc I wanted to know what was happening. It just makes me so sad to see the devastation. PTL you're all ok 💜💙💚💛🧡
Wow, thinking how different your story would be down here in the Fort Myers/Sanibel area. We are all blessed and the recovery efforts bring even more silver linings, thousands of folks have come into the area to assist. Thanks for vlogging your experience, it’s helpful and educational to those far away or alone without community. 🧡
I was worried about you and your family during the hurricane. We live in Vero Beach and lucked out as you did. Glad you and your family are well. My heart and prayers go out to all who suffered the worst of the hurricane. Thank you for all the great content … love your videos. 🫶
So many were praying for all of you so sad but praise God you came out very well. Watching the elderly being rescued caused me to just cry since I am at that age and could see the total shock they were in. PTL you did come out so well.
Thankful that everyone was safe. And to see such love and support from each and everyone! It is such a blessing to have friends and family to come together in the time of need. God bless you all ❤
We are in cape coral, you know the circle you drew at about minute 8:35, we survived and did well here. But most of our community did not fare as well. We just got power back Monday, and internet back today. SO glad to hear you are well!
Oh my word....you did a great documentary on the hurricane in your neck of the woods. The awesome spiritual music brought strength and reminded us all who holds everything. I am so glad you all were spared the worst. God spared you. Thank you for showing how things went. Blessings and praises to God for safety for you.
Was praying 🙏🏻 for you all. I can understand your being nervous. One of our daughters lives in Florida also. Love ❤ the community coming together at the church shelter.
Your video made me cry for many reasons, The first reason of course for the loss and devastation, but I also cried to see such love and caring among your church people. The food prep, the fellowship, the protection, but the aiding of each other's welfare. Truly inspiring. Here in Ohio we see a lot of that in the small towns, the area you grew up in, but watching this video gives new meaning to the true spirit of the Lord. So glad your family are safe and well. Love seeing all your beautiful babies! Thank you!
It's amazing how you all work together to get things cleaned up . Thank God your area wasn't as bad . May you all be thankful and have a blessed week !
So very thankful you are all safe. We were praying for your family and others we know who have moved into the area down there from Illinois, they are safe. What a service to your hurting community making meals for so many, your church is a blessing. Continued prayers.
So glad you came through with minimal damage!👍🏼🥰 My brother lives in Ft Myers and I think everyone know what happened there!😢 Incredibly, due to the grace of God, he only lost several shingles. His electric was just restored this afternoon, so that’s a real blessing. I pray we don’t see another storm like that for a long time, if ever! God Bless🙌
Thanks for this update Lynette. We kept our eyes and ears open during the storm for news. I’m glad your family was safe and dry. Now watching videos of the devastation in southern Florida including the islands is heartbreaking. Here in Ohio we were far removed from any hurricane!
I am so happy to hear from you all! I was really worried for you and your new home. God is merciful and kept you safe thankfully. Praying for all those in harms way 🙏🙏🙏
It’s wonderful what you n your church community is doing!! Bless you all for the kindness and hard work!, We moved to Venice 6 yrs ago and while we had some minor damage and flooding we’re thankful. North Port is the next town south of us; they got hammered then the Myaaka River overflowed causing many to evacuate to Venice!! I saw the traffic and it was bumper to bumper for miles!! Hope your friends have since found a place to stay!! Ian was quite a frightening experience, one I hope we never see again!! Take care 🥹
My mother would say those two boys were as handy as a pocket in a shirt. I loved watching them out there clearing the lawn of all the branches that had blown down. My brother lives in Tampa and the last time I talked to him he was without electricity, but his house was fine and at that time he had not experienced any flooding. I'm glad you have been hit in only a minor way...at least so far, and it sounds like you don't anticipate any flooding of your house. Thank you for taking the time to let us know how things are going for your family. We have been very concerned about you and about everyone who was impacted by Ian.
Hi Lynette, I am so happy you are all safe and well after such a terrible hurricane! You have an amazing community and bless all of you for helping others as well! 🙏😘
So glad you are all well and things are returning to a bit more normal. We were LIving at NP Rickey in "68" when the Hurricane hit and I at home with our 6 month old, alone, no car and Hubby down at Homestead AFB..........Nothing opened for three days and baby and I ended up in American Red Cross shelter.......my family in Wash had no idea as we had no phone. I was only afraid for the baby..... but when hubby got home I was a mess........mercy!! You never forget it and 54 years later I can see it all happening and the like.......so thankful you had Nick with you and all your little ones were with you...........what a blessing. Your church community is so wonderful and your community at large......God bless you for all you do and the work ethic and the tenacity to know all will be will with God at your sides. Love and blessings be yours!!!
My Aunt lives in Southgate. I'm so grateful to God there wasnt the widespread flooding or devastation like Fort Myers. Its Heartbreaking seeing that Footage. So glad you have such a caring, connected Community. Thank you for sharing the aftermath!!
Sorry to see the Deitweilers stores were damaged, praying for them and their businesses. Praying for the family that was flooded out. We had no power/water/internet for 5 days. Lots of trees, fences, yard debris. Praying for everyone!
I am glad you and your family are safe. I went through Hurricane Laura and Delta two years ago and I understand the devastation, loss and pain all Floridians are going through. The rebuild is a long hard task but God is with you every step of the way. God bless you all, stay safe and prayers for all.
I was still in the hospital after open heart surgery but I was thinking of you all and especially the people down by Fort Meyers and Sanibel. I'm so glad to see you came out of it safely. When you were filming some of the wind it reminded me of some of the blizzards we get here in Minnesota.
God bless your community! PTL for your preparedness and kindness to one another. In all of the TV coverage that shows the damage from Ivan I am amazed that the palm trees seem to never fall! Wow!
So thankful you all are okay. My love and prayers are with everyone that was Ian’s path. Some of my family lives in North Carolina there was flooding there. Take care, love and blessings 🙏🏼🥰♥️
Your community is awesome!!! I’m so thankful that you guys are alright !!!!! We live in Missouri so the hurricane didn’t affect us at all and I’m so thankful for that!! Keep 🙏 praying for everyone that needs your and our prayers!! I will keep you in my prayers!!
So Thankful you all are ok. So heartbreaking to see the devastation in Ft Myers and surrounding communities. God definitely had his hand of protection on you all. Thank you for all You do for this channel. God Bless You. 💕

😭
Oh my word....you did a great documentary on the hurricane in your neck of the woods. The awesome spiritual music brought strength and reminded us all who holds everything. I am so glad you all were spared the worst. God spared you. Thank you for showing how things went. Blessings and praises to God for safety for you.
I am so thankful you, your family, and your community are safe and well, bless you xx
So glad you all are safe. Our family in Tampa and Wildwood lucked out also.
It's a lot my in laws moved from Naples years ago and they are 93 now can't imagine them getting through what happened. Be safe everyone.
So very thankful you are all safe. We were praying for your family and others we know who have moved into the area down there from Illinois, they are safe. What a service to your hurting community making meals for so many, your church is a blessing. Continued prayers.
So thankful y’all are all okay!! We’ve been praying diligently for all y’all!!
So glad you came through with minimal damage!👍🏼🥰
My brother lives in Ft Myers and I think everyone know what happened there!😢
Incredibly, due to the grace of God, he only lost several shingles. His electric was just restored this afternoon, so that’s a real blessing.
I pray we don’t see another storm like that for a long time, if ever!
God Bless🙌
Warms my heart to see people and communities come together during disasters and how I wish this was more the norm all time. Much to be thankful for 💙
Prayers y’all and all of Florida 🙏✝️🙏
Crying my eyes out. God bless the beautiful people of Florida! 🙏
Thanks for this update Lynette. We kept our eyes and ears open during the storm for news. I’m glad your family was safe and dry. Now watching videos of the devastation in southern Florida including the islands is heartbreaking. Here in Ohio we were far removed from any hurricane!
It truly is heartbreaking!
So glad you all are safe and minimal damage💕 It's a blessing to have such a good and caring church and community 💞
I am so happy to hear from you all! I was really worried for you and your new home. God is merciful and kept you safe thankfully. Praying for all those in harms way 🙏🙏🙏
Keeping your family and all Floridians in our daily prayers..so grateful y'all are safe now.🙏🙏
It’s wonderful what you n your church community is doing!! Bless you all for the kindness and hard work!,
We moved to Venice 6 yrs ago and while we had some minor damage and flooding we’re thankful.
First if all I am so grateful that you came through the storm as well as you did
Hi Lynette,
I am so happy you are all safe and well after such a terrible hurricane!
You have an amazing community and bless all of you for helping others as well!
🙏😘
Boys are working hard to help, I love that.
Wow!
Glad you’re all doing good. And happy to see how you’re all working together to help each other.
It’s wonderful how people pull together to help one another…glad you are safe!
So thankful you all are okay. My love and prayers are with everyone that was Ian’s path. Some of my family lives in North Carolina there was flooding there. Take care, love and blessings 🙏🏼🥰♥️
