It was a crazy storm. We moved down not even a weak before the storm hit. We were stuck on the other side of the railroad tracks. So happy the waters went down. We were renting in pincraft. Before the storm. So far the people I talked to had left arcadia. We were not prepared this was our first rodeo. It felt like is was just standing still🤦🏽♀️ lots of prayers were said. We didn’t have time to board up so I anointed all the doors and windows and prayed for protection. God was Good!
Gotta love a woman with vision for a project, wearing a plaid shirt, not afraid of hard work, with a tape measure secured on her right hip! No doubts that your new home reno will turn out beautifully.
It’s so sad to see all the flooding and damage from Hurricane Ian. 😢 I’m so glad that you all are okay and that the community is pulling together to help everyone clean up and recover. I love watching how you take a space and re-imagine it. You have such a talent for envisioning how a space can be rearranged and decorated! I can’t wait to see how the house turns out!
My heart goes out to everyone who has lost belongings, homes, animals/pets and other treasures. I pray everything will be restored to you where possible. God Bless you and all those who come to your aid. 😢
I normally don’t care for mommy vlogs but I do think you realize how blessed you are to have so much help with your kids and how fortunate you are to have lived in 2 beautiful homes and to be building another and decorating to your taste when most people have trouble buying and maintaining one home for their family please don’t ever take that for granted!!
Hi Lynette from Massachusetts here. Wow, you and Nick are like machines the way you go at it. Four kids, reno's, home cleanups...I get tired just watching you guys, LOL. I know it's going to look awesome when it's done. Boys are growing so fast getting taller. Girls are adorable! Glad you didn't have any major storm damage. God bless. Happy Birthday to Nick!
My suggestion: For animal smells use Odoban. These are my personal suggestions for proper guidelines refer to the Odoban procedures, we personally, for smells imbedded in concrete, used straight Odoban and let it sit for a few hours then washed and dried it off, you could put it on at night and wash it off in the morning for example. Happy belated birthday Nic!🎉
Watching from Scotland and feeling lucky we don't have hurricane's here. Love seeing how your new house is coming along. Will keep watching to see it finished. You are certainly not afraid of hard work.
Can’t wait to see the finished product! It’s going to be so nice and spacious! Your kids are gonna have a lot of room to run around and play and make some good memories! God bless!
I'm thankful you and your family made it through the hurricane so well. The pastor of my church, along with about a dozen men are going to Florida to help with the cleanup. After growing up in Mobile Alabama, I have been through a lot of hurricanes. My heart hurts for those who have suffered so much damage. The house is coming along nicely.
Didn't realize Nick and I were so close in age, just turned 33 this weekend! Love love love seeing all the progress on the Renos makes it more personal knowing you'll be living there!! Your pool is my favorite spot of the house so far ;)
I was thinking oh they have a little cousin with them, then I was like hey that’s Oaklynn, she’s gotten so big, she’s just darling!! Thanks for the updates, how fun!!💕💕💕
So sad for the devastation in Florida from Ian . Praying for all who were affected. Your new home is going to look amazing when your done. I can’t wait to see it. God Bless your beautiful family.
Thank you for the update on the house and Floridians. Gosh, so sad on the water levels, I cannot imagine. My heart and prayers for everyone who had to endure Ian. Take care.
It was great to hear from you. I’ve missed seeing the Yoder updates. So glad y’all were spared the awful damages & devastation which hit south of you very hard. My heart & prayers are with everyone effected by Hurricane Ian. I’m happy you & Nick were able to get started with your new house renovations. Decisions, decisions! It’s hard to make changes when you’re not sure what the finished plan will look like. Y’all have had lots of experience & your plans have turned out even better than you expected. I’m sure this project will be beautiful as well. God bless your& your sweet family. ♥️
glad to see you made out well. We are south Sarasota , got power back Monday and today, thank you Jesus, got internet. It is our 4th cat 3 plus storm, but the longest weve ever been without internet. Spent all weekend at the family center at Tuttle and Bahia Vista..my brother is the maintenance guy there and it was a mess...exhausted but thankful. sons and their families are in North POrt and Fort Myers...way worse off than us...
hit send to soon...our other property is in Arcadia...yesterday was the first time we were allowed out there...the chicken coop was destroyed, and 27 chickens are wandering the property ...but were realllllly happy to see us. we have been stopped at 72 for over a week

WOW so much awesome progress on the new place as always Lynette! The pool at the rental turned out beautiful- so great to see the boys enjoying it! It was so heart breaking to see the Peace River campground under water like that. HOW AWEFUL for all those people. 😢 I was born & raised in Naples Fl, so seeing all this destruction is really something. Thoughts & prayers for better days for those effected❣
Happy Birthday Nick Oh my heart breaks for all the death and destruction. I've lived in Florida most of my 64 years and these storms are so destructive yet we humans seem to think we are more powerful... I wish they would make it against the law to remain when they have ordered a mandatory evacuation... Now we have all these work crews down helping to clean things up and I want to remind everyone that we need to keep them in our prayers because they are truly doing some very dangerous work....God save them and keep them safe.
Excited to see the progress on your new home and that you’re making suggestions for changes. We bought a home to live in in a couple of years. The more time we spend there the more changes we make to the remodel. Beams are on my request list!! We’re also going to visit Sarasota early in December and love your suggestions for shopping. Prayers too all dealing with the aftermath of the hurricane.
Im from New Zealand and I've visited Florida a couple years back, its really sad to see all the damage! Kia Kaha, in Maori, our native language, which means stay strong. I hope you all get back on your feet and get back to normal soon! ❤
It is great to see things coming along. Will ye be in the new house before Xmas. I am still praying for the flood victims. It is wonderful that you have family members to help you out. The children are growing so fast.
It’s tragic isn’t it, that so much has been damaged or destroyed. Heartbroken for the people who have lost so much. Happy belated birthday to Nick. Mine was on the 29th Sept, but sadly I had COVID. Much better now and clear of it. Loving the open spaces in the new house. And you deserve to have this done by a contractor, not yourselves, although I hope your uncle & dad are doing your kitchen cabinets. 👏👏👏
Happy late birthday Nick. I really think your house will be beautiful when it’s done. You both have such great ideas. It is nice to have family to help out. My prayers are still going out to all who were affected by Ian.

I've never heard of charging for unfinished food, you already paid for the food! Excited to see the finished project, going to be beautiful.
I know!! How can that even be legal to charge you for something your already paying for??
I like it because it reduces food waste. Really makes you consider what you can conceivably eat vs what you'd leave on your plate unfinished.
